  1. Mr. Kee knows everything...... He knows Dyer County is 5-AAAAA too. Just because Mr Kee knows doesn't necessarily mean anyone else knows anything about it....
  2. Pretty sure you have to actually beat the other team in Dickson Co to claim that title
  3. We've got other fish to fry before the Lions need to even think about Creek Wood. The Lions didn't exactly play so well last Friday that they can afford to overlook anyone at this point. Coming into any game cocky, especially a game with so much riding on it, can get you beat.
  4. Good Luck to the Cardinals, take it to 'em! Congrats on last Friday's big win
  5. It would all depend upon bracket placement...no way to know until the end of the season. Lotta games to play before then though.
  6. I think if Coach Graves can get his team up for any game this year it would be this one. Long time bitter rivals and being Camden's homecoming once again are good motivators. I believe Waverly pulls out the stops to try to make this a ballgame. Hopefully, with Coach Ward's half-time "pep" talk still ringing in their ears, the Lions stay focused and buckle down here as we head to the end of the season. Let's get it done boys....Go LIONS!
  7. Finally the Lions are showing some signs of life...musta been a heck of a "pep" talk at half time . Glad I wasn't there Camden up 28-7 in the third.
  8. Have to wonder if the Lions are having a Huntingdon hangover...You're right, if they don't tighten up it'll be a long night.
  9. Ok..make that three fumbles for Camden. Time to wake up guys.
  10. Hmmm.....I did do my homework sir. Did I state any evidentiary falacies? No I didn't. So don't think I need to do much homework on this particular subject. Just because Creekwook is 4A doesn't mean they should beat a 3A school. Do you think they Could beat Alcoa. Hardly. No one in 3A, 4A, or 5A could beat them so what class you are in doesn't mean anything. Creekwood has beaten 4 opponents with a combined record of 11-11 and lost to a 4-2 school in Dickson County. Camden has beaten 6 teams with a combined record of 16-17(Bruceton0-5) Do all these stats matter. NOPE! Not a bit. Stats are on paper. The game is played on the field. But the District Title runs through Camden so the Red Hawks can fly on down here to the jungle and get plucked. We will be waiting to give that record another blemish and send those sparrows back to middle TN. lol really???you gotta be kidding me... that a way to give CW some board material when they play camden If Creek Wood needs bulletin board material to get up for this game they've lost already.
  11. I don't think we have anything to worry about on that score. I asked a couple starters yesterday if they knew what was being said about the Huntingdon game on here and they had no clue and really didn't seem to care. Ward has them all squared away when it comes to focusing on the next game (as usual). It's just the fans and former players on here that let their focus wander a bit.
  12. What are you smoking? I also was at that game and from my side of the field, Huntingdon did not physically push Camden's defense around. If they had, Huntingdon would not have been limited to 52 carries for 207 yards (3.98 yards a carry). Kennon Holder had half the carries and 115 yards. Thompson ran for 55 yards on 20 carries. Idk about you but i consider 207 yards rushing a pretty good night. I'm sure if Huntingdon had a more threatening passing game that number would have been larger. If a rusher has 4 yards a carry that is pretty good and Huntingdon was just .02 under that according to NavyChief. Basically Camden knew Huntingdon was going to line up and run the ball between the tackles and Huntingdon was still able to gain 207 yards rushing that's pretty good. As I said before, says the player who knows nothing about Huntingdon. Holder came into the Camden game with over 750 yards in 4 games with an almost 9yd per carry average and 3 TDs or more per game. Huntingdon has not passed all year...they have ran all over some of the best defensive units in West TN even though every team knew what was coming. For the Lions to hold Holder to 115 yds was quite a defensive accomplishment.
  13. Says the player that obviously knows nothing about Huntingdon and has never seen them play before. Think you guys could do better? Milan couldn't, Union City couldn't, Westview couldn't...but Creekwood could? Man I really wish I had a pair of those shades you had on during the game...they definitely would help me out when I tell everyone just how big that fish was that got away....
  14. L4E, One correction, brudda' on the "...for the first time." We beat MCHS up there, 25-7 in 2001. They ran our opening kick back & their stadium announcer called us "Candum" all night! They came back to Wright Field the next year & put it to us 30-14, but we have made the trip, just not it a good while! GO LIONS! I knew we had played there sometime in recent history but I meant since the realignment, I will be clearer next time Candum??...really? I can't believe I missed that...
  15. OK...so who is the homer voter that keeps giving Elizabethton a first place vote? Should be grounds for voter removal, Reason= Too Stupid To Live . We all want our teams to be thought of well around the state, but come on
  16. Camden travels to Clarksville for the first time. Will it be a let down game for Camden after a very emotionally and physically draining win against Huntingdon or do the Lions continue to roll?
  17. Camden fans will be watching this one closely. Can't really say who I would pick having never seen Creek Wood play, but I will say that Stewart Co is a better team than most give them credit for. I'd rather be at this one than at Montgomery Central with the Lions. Good Luck to both teams and hope you come out injury free.
  18. Huntingdon kept him bottled up most of the night, but just the fact that they had to keep so many defenders inside to contain #41 it opened up the outside all night long. So I guess you can say he was a factor...a big factor Congrats on the Humboldt win to you guys Butchie...sounds like it was a tough one.
  19. Saw in the Jackson Sun that Camden held Holder and Thompson combined to just 204 yds rushing with a 3.8 yards per carry avg and 1 TD. That's less than half of their weekly average. Way to go Lion Defense
  20. I'm not sure that was a called play cause the snap was wide and he juggled it, but even it was, Ward knows what he has in QB/Punter Michael Gaskin...pretty elusive runner and fastest guy on the team. I mentioned that Camden had a lot of team speed earlier and that they could match Huntingdon but I guess seeing is believing. Way to go LIONS....great game on both sides of the ball. Glad to see that even after some miscues the Lions kept it together and played tough down to the last second. I thought I saw a bunch of guys from Creekwood checking out the game...hmmmm, wonder what they thought? Good Luck to Huntingdon...looks like you got another great rusher in Holder and a very good O-line. Good luck the rest of the season and we know you'll represent West TN well come playoff time
  21. If the weather holds you better get here early...standing room only crowd for sure.
  22. Been a boring year so far on CoachT for the me until now (except for some friendly ribbing from McKenzie fans (sorry I missed it Butchie)....this is the way it should be between the Lions and the Stangs. I've missed it the past few years Good Luck to both teams, spend your money and get a full belly in Benton Co and watch a great game between two great programs. Can't ask for much more than that Go LIONS!
  23. If you saw the McKenzie game then you saw a completely different team than you will see tomorrow. Camden had a bunch of young players that needed a game or two under their belts...you'd never know they were young now. If Huntingdon focuses on just those two.... Should be a good game...
