I agree with what you are saying but at this point the quads DO NOT take into account 1st or 2nd place in districts....from TSSAA website:The quadrants on the class maps and playoff standings are based exclusively on the current football playoff standings and do not take into consideration the first criteria for qualifying which is teams finishing 1st or 2nd in their district. For this reason, the final quadrants/seedings cannot be set until the conclusion of the 10th week when the regular season is complete.

We need Grundy Co to get to at least five wins just in case Jackson Co wins 2 of their next 3. That would put both us and Gordonsville with 7 teams that have won 50% or more of their games, which is the 2nd tiebreaker. The 3rd tiebreaker is total wins by teams on our schedules...that will most likely decide who gets the #2 spot IF WE WIN OUT. If not, Gordonsville will get it.

As of today, we are now #2 in Quad 2. Alot of football still to play though.

Going with the upset in this one!! Oneida wins!! No wait, on further review....Oneida did not score as time expired. Coalfield wins. Must have been the same refs at the FCS/Boyd Buch playoff game last year except this time they get it right and the QB is not given the touchdown. Just adding a little humor......some on here may not know about "The Call" last year.

Pirates wil be ready. Expect alot of highlights from both teams. Can't Wait.

How are things going for you at Maryville College?

Finally we can actually talk about this game. Should be #1 in 1A vs #1 in 2A if the polls hold true tomorrow. Regardless of this rankings, this makes for a very entertaining game. I believe Boyd will put some points on the board but WILL NOT be able to stop the Pirate Scoring machine ENOUGH to win the game. I look for a high scoring game but feel the Pirates will win by 2 touchdowns.

District champs get priority seeding.

Incorrect. If Pirates make it back to quad 1, they would be seeded higher than Greenback since the Kees will finish 2nd in their region /district behind GCA and we won ours. We would get a bye and GB would come to the Pitt. Then we would travel to Coalfield if we won since they would be the one seed.

Bottom line is you really love the Pirates and it kills you not to be one. C'mon over there's always room on the bandwagon.

And how again do you know this Boyd team is all the above. You stated earlier you haven't seem them play.
