  1. Actually we took it away but yes, on paper, they should have been the better team.
  2. Definitely a must see game. Two great teams with tons of talent. Fayetteville is a much better team this year than last year. They were able to slow McKenzie down last year but still lost. McKenzie is loaded again, along with having home field advantage. My prediction: Fayetteville 28 McKenzie 14 Best of luck to both teams. Our season ended early, but we will be back very soon.
  3. Class 1A QUAD 1 Coalfield vs Oliver Spgs QUAD 2 Clay Co vs Gordonsville QUAD 3 McKenzie vs Fayetteville QUAD 4 MASE vs Peabody Class 2A QUAD 1 York Institute vs Monterey QUAD 2 East Robertson vs Tyner QUAD 3 Lewis Co vs DC Riverside QUAD 4 Huntingdon vs Union City
  4. This will be a great game between two hard nosed football teams. Clay has the manpower upfront to win this one again but will the game be too big for them. Time will tell. Gordonsville definitely looked the part last week as expected but some very questionable play calling when they had a chance to put us away. Will this game be too big for the new coach ? Having seen both teams play now regardless of what happened in the first game, my prediction is this... If #5 does not play... Clay County 22 Gordonsville 21 or If #5 plays... Gordonsville 35 Clay County 21
  5. Congrats to Gordy, excellent schemed defense to counter our offensive air assault. Must have watched how GA shut down my Vols. Very proud of the grit our young Pirates showed tonight. After getting shell shocked early on, they gathered their composure and fought to the very end. As us real Pirate fans stated all week, this was the year for Gordy to get the win. We knew we were outmatched physically. Next year could be similar to this year, just depends on how hard our boys hit the weight room and push themselves. We need some beef upfront to take that next step. If any of the rumors I’m hearing come true, watch out. My personal opinion is we are still another year away from something special.
  6. Yes, we weathered the storm and the defense is finally getting a push.
  7. Would like to know that myself . Our fans travel better than they show here at home.

  9. They are very capable of leaving the PITT with a victory tonight. This is the year to get us with all those Seniors.
  10. Best of luck to both teams tonight. McKenzie 48 Moore County 21
  11. Would like to see Lake County win this game but I just don't see it happening. Closer than most expect though.. MASE 35 Lake County 20
  12. Roy, who's going to keep Stone's balls dry tonight if that tarp didn't work ?
  13. Coalfield will continue to dominate upper east Tennessee. 56-18
  14. That LODGE SKILLET TARP should take care of that issue.
  15. Looks like rain late tonight and tomorrow morning, ending between 2-3 in the afternoon.
  16. This will be a one score game either way. Wet field or not, both teams will give it all they got. Gordonsville's line may have the edge in size but our boys will be ready. Neither team has relied heavily on the run game this year.
  17. Wes will definitely put them in a position to win. He is very good at that when he needs to be. Expect to see some wrinkles he hasn’t used this year just like at State last year.
