  1. We are too disciplined and hard nosed. You all wont score more than 10 points on us. Our defense is the real deal. There is never any pressure on the offense to put up big numbers. Your defense will get tired as the game goes on and we will keep pounding that rock. Rankin will have a couple of tricks up his sleeve for you all too. Our coaches will have our team more prepared. And we will make better halftime adjustments than you all. Just too powerful and good for Milan once again. You all might want to consider getting a better schedule so you all will be more prepared to face us. Your eyes will be open once again this friday to some really good football. Toney will have over a hundred yards with at least 2 tds. Your boys better strap your helmets on real tight for this one. Robinson and Warren our two defensive ends are going to be doing some serious head hunting. Tornadoes by 14. Again, I am not saying that Milan is not a good football team, because I believe they are. But you guys are making them out to be the Florida Gators of Tennessee High School Football with all of the stats and stuff you are throwing out here. --- Like I said before, ALL of these stats look good on paper(and these kids are probably very tallented) but you didnt play anybody! You have the #46 ranked schedule in all of Tennessee AA Football...the 2 best record teams you played both went 11-2 with the #58 and #88 toughest schedules! Bell Co, Maryville, Loudon, Fulton, CAK, Elizabethton and maybe even Mcminn Central would have atleast went 12-1 if not 13-0 so far with any of those 3 schedules! But comparing stats that you listed: You have a much stronger legged kicker than we do but I dont believe he has missed as many kicks as your guy...we just dont attempt long ones! We are about even in recieving...looks like we both have 1 standout and then several more that can make a play or 2. Rushing is not even a contest...Alcoa is way better in this area! QB....I would be really shocked if our qb had the stats your qb does! I would have to give the edge to you in that area. Ours is young, but not playing as good as qb's in years past that we have had. I think he is tallented and has a strong arm, he is just not as accurate as we have been used to. Defense, I believe both teams have a good defense...you have a monster out there! However, we played a 4 time harder schedule than Milan did and stats show that we still give up a couple pts less a game. To be able to hold Maryville, Bell Co. and CAK, I would say as a whole our defense is better! Since you have a good unblemished record, come to Cookeville ready to play and we will see if your schedule this year prepared you for this game. May the best team win, Milan or Alcoa. --- Hey, in something we can all agree and get along on...are we not 2 of only 3 unbeaten teams in the whole state???? Congrads to both teams there!!! I agree that you guys had a hard schedule. You did last year, and we still shut your run game down. Well, you know what I mean. You did not run over us last year. What makes you think you will this year. It will be a good game from start to finish with Milan on top in the end. Moody will seal with a field goal to win by 10. Go DAWGS!!!
  2. Hey milan just wandering what would make you think that you can beat the tornadoes? Have you all must have forgotten that we beat a certain team that had the longest win streak in the country at one point and has won 11 gold balls and is in the 6a championship game. If you all dont know who that is, it is Maryville. Lets be honest and ask yourself if you have even come close to playing anyone as good as Maryville. You know the answer is definately not. The only way you could even come close to beating Alcoa is if we turned the ball over 3 or 4 times, we had a few key injuries, and the refs were making calls in your favor. I am not trying to be mean or rude, I am just stating the facts. Its like when TN played florida. They new they were going to win and so did everyone else and there was just nothing that we could do about it. Just like there is nothing that you all can do about stopping the tornadoes. They are just on another level and will be for at least a few more years. We might make it to eight before it is all said and done. Oh and if we got moved to a private division we would dominate in there too it would just mean that some of you all that our in our way now would actually have a chance at winning a championship. It would be a joke if we had to play webb or father ryan or someone like that. The only team that I could see possibly beating us this year is MUS. So just hope that your team can keep it respectable and no one gets hurt. Go A L C O A
  3. Well I would have to say no and here is the reason why. I was at the alcoa vs brainerd game and talked to a man who was from up in that area. He was just wanting to come and see a good football game and see what all the hype was about alcoa. We started talking and he said to me without asking that I havent seen a team all year that could beat you all. So I said what about Milan and he looked at me with this weird face and said no way. He said that we were 14 to 21 points better than them and that it wouldnt be close. So that is my reason. I also think that you have to look at the facts. We beat Maryville who is in the 6A championship game. We are just on a different level this year. We are definately better this year as well. Our line is too good and our defensive front and lbs are too good. Your offense will struggle and we will pound the rock on you all night. It might be two or three more years until we get knocked off of our throne. I am looking foward to it very much because I know that all you Milan people will think that this is your year like all these other teams have thought in the playoffs this year. If you look at the trash talk by elizabethton you wouldve thought that the game would be a real dog fight and you see the outcome. I think that we will beat you all by 21 and Toney will for certain break the all around td record against you all. Just get ready to take your medicine and like it. Go Tornadoes
  4. Well I guess we proved that we can back up any talk that we put on here. Our boys came up there and gave you all a dose of medicine and made you like it I.E the running game. Only one trick play tonight the rest just plain ole smash mouth football that you all couldn't do a thing about. All the hype and confidence on here from you and your fellow cyclones just got shut down. Your alls coach seemed to be a little cocky as well. I also bet our players saw that youtube video of you all jumping up and down at midfield towards ae and that gave them a little more motivation to shut your team up. Congrats to the Tornadoes for another dominating performance and congrats to betsy too but maybe a little more humility until you all accomplish something.
  5. Well I guess we will just have to do what we are supposed to. Which is just plain ole win. Yeah it will be just another day in the office and bump in the road towards another gold ball. You all know the drill. Alcoa six time defending state champions. If you ask me that is never going to get old and I hope that we are always favored in all our games. Because that means we haven't fallen off any. Go Tornadoes. 21-0
  6. I dont see this game being any closer than last game. For CAK to have a chance Alcoa would have to make a lot of mistakes and CAK would have to play close to perfect. It is very hard to make up a three hundred yard differential in two weeks. I believe that this one will be something like 35 to 7 or 42 to 7. JaRon will have at least two touchdowns. Go Alcoa
  7. Congrats to Alcoa. I was at the game last night and set on the Tyner side. I talked to a gentleman who was from Camden and he said that there was nobody in west tn who could come close to alcoa. I said to him I heard milan was good this year and they would be a tough team for alcoa if they face them in the ship. He said that milan couldnt hang with alcoa at all. I was really suprised by this and thought that says a lot about our program at Alcoa. I hope that the Tornadoes continue what they are doing and make it 6 in a row. I also hope that we get to play milan in the ship.
  8. Congrats to Alcoa on the first undefeated season since 2000. You all deserve it with your outstanding play this season. We all know that the only way to an undefeated season is through the red rebels and it was great to see that accomplished. Hopefully we can continue the momentum into the playoffs and take that sixth gold ball in a row. It would also be nice if we could start some sort of streak over the red rebels but we will have to wait a bit for that. I was a part of the 2000 team that went undefeated and I know how great it feels to go through an entire season without a loss. Keep up the tradition and pride that comes with putting on that maroon jersey.
  9. recruiting was a source of talent at riverdale when the previous coach was there, sure that doesn't go on at Alcoa......especially when such a large company is in the area. ...No...they don't have to recruit but it's WIDE OPEN for any kid from anywhere to join the squad. That is proven by their 37% and growing OOZ/tuition players but....no....Alcoa is not recruiting. Mlreb needs to change schools since he always opens his mouth about alcoa when he gets a chance. You are cheering for the wrong team.
  10. I was just wandering what everyone thought about this. Does anyone else think that Alcoa might be the top team in the state in any classification. I am talking about nonprivate schools because I don't know much about the private schools. But if anyone does feel free to share.
  11. Toney from Alcoa has 30 touchdowns in 8 games. This is getting ridiculous. I believe that he will shatter the 43 td mark this year. Anybody have any thoughts? Also does anyone know where he is going to go to college?
  12. Looks like you just dodged the Facts and changed the subject lil' Reb! "push this "little school" fallacy to the unknowing".............(this one's ) Fact Maryville High School is a 6A School with 1555 students per TSSAA. Fact Alcoa High School is a 3A School with 544 students per TSSAA. Do you not believe 544 to be little/smaller than 1555? What a wack.........must of got hit in the head to many times! You know exactly what I am say............37% OOZ players equate to .....it doesn't matter what you school size is....... Mlreb you know this topic only gets talked about when alcoa is on top. I don't ever remember hearing a sole talk about ooz players in the mid and late 1990's when we weren't on top and had some bad years. I also don't remember this argument in 2003 when the tornadoes only won three games. So you know it is only a big difference maker when we are on top and when we are not there is no difference and it really doesn't matter.
  13. Try practicing accuracy in posting. Not only did I give Alcoa credit but I broke the game down to a T one week before it happened. Maryville could play Alcoa 10 times this year and win ZERO. As for the OOZ players.....I LMBO at some of your fans that wave the 550 student banner and what an accomplishment it is to win against larger schools. When you have a 37% OOZ roster make up it really doesn't matter how large or small your school is. Alcoa has built line strength and depth with OOZ players and if you don't think that is a HUGE advantage then you know very little about football and position importance. Being a Maryville fan we are well aware of the advantage of having OOZ players though Maryville never had the sheer numbers that Alcoa currently has. They did have difference makers in the past and it had a lot to do with the win streak, particularly in the early wins. Today, it's Alcoa with their meager $500.00 tuition and room to fill the team roster that is attracting the kids from Blount and surrounding counties to the program. In addition to the opportunity to possess a ring and even solid academics. I don't blame parents for sending their kids to Alcoa. It's just funny how Alcoa fans taunt other schools with the small school fallacy and actually believe that the OOZ players do not make a HUGE difference. We have been there and completely understand the benefit it gives. BTW....congrats on the national ranking.....well deserved. Well here is something to think about mlreb. Do you actually know how small the city of alcoa is? Also i lived in louisville growing up and paid tuition to go to alcoa where i played football and basketball. Here are the reasons why.1) To get a better education. (zoned for wb) 2) To play sports for a school that i had ties to from youth leagues. 3) To not drive so far out of the way. (alcoa seven min from my house wb and heritage twenty and thirty min away.) 4) For a little diversity which helped me be more equipped to deal with the real world. So there are several reasons that i went to alcoa and payed tuition. Think about how many other kids live closer to alcoa than any other school but are technically not in the city limits because of tax reasons. So come on now get your head out of the sand and use a little common since here with your argument. Also alcoa is getting bigger with the ongoing developement of andover, crosswinds, and st ives. So take that into consideration too. I would say that almost every team has a few players on their team that dont live in the same city or county. It just makes you upset because we are so good and you don't understand how so the only thing that you can come up with is the open zone thing which is a little bush league if you ask me.
  14. You have one less as of yesterday. In my opinion he was the best athlete/football player to come out of Alcoa in many years. Best of luck to the kid but I am afraid he will end up like the many others. Hope not....
  15. so were back to that again huh. How about just saying good congrats and leave it at that without trying to throw the little dig in about open zone stuff. This is a great honor for those kids who have worked really hard. Wow how old is that argument. How many times do we have to tell you people that the majority of the kids that play and make a big impact are from alcoa. We have 500 kids in our school and we still can beat anyone in any classification in the state. I hate to hear all the whining. You have to pay tuition if you go alcoa from outside the city limits. The city limits are so small and if they would expand them to where they should be then there wouldnt be hardly any tuition atheletes. So please do your research and quit that crying. Its old and played out. Look at our atheletes who are playing d1 and who have played d1 they are from alcoa.
  16. I find it ironic that all the loudon people are talking about the respect they deserve since they only got shut out by 21 against alcoa. I dont believe that being shut out the last three times that we have met should mean that loudon deserves a lot of respect. Maybe that is why we beat them every year because they think that they should get respect after getting shut out by 21. Again this is only my opinion but at Alcoa we would never claim that we deserve respect after taking some of the beatings that we took from Maryville. We would let that fuel our fire to go on and get better each game which resulted in 6 gold balls since 2000. I played football for alcoa and I would never be telling anyone that I deseved respect if I just took a 21 to 0 beat down. But again that is only my opinion. I believe that you get respect when you win or you lose in a close game not getting shut out by 21. Maybe a seven point game loudon could claim some respect but not 21-0. I believe if they meet again it will be another shut out and possibly a 42-0 shut out. But i guess we will have to see.
  17. After watching the loudon vs lc game on television there will be absolutely no way that loudon will score more than seven points. They couln't sustain a drive against LC until the third quarter and LC is not all that good. Alcoa will score on every possesion and not have to punt once. Toney will have his way as he did against Maryville. Tyson will score as well and will probably take a few Loudon defenders with him. If loudon attempts to pass the ball warren and robinson will have their way with the qb. Loudon is simply outmatched, outclassed, and outcoached. Alco 56 loudon 7. No disrespect to loudon either just calling it the way I see it.
  18. I love it when we scrimmage these four and five A schools. We always seem to come out on top even though it is just a scrimmage. Everyone around always talks about how we don't play anyone and that they could win in 2a but when we get a chance against before the regular season we take care of business and show them that we are the real deal. I wish that we could get some teams to step up and play us during the year instead of only in the preseason. It is also encouraging to see that our younger kids did so well against Faragut. I think that shows how much Rankin and the rest of the coaches are commited to building a program. It still amazes me that Faragut has a few thousand kids or more in their school to choose from and we only have five hundred or so to choose from and we can still beat them. That shows a lot about the coaching and atheletes that we have at Alcoa. I think that this year is going to be another great year and I would expect number six in a row this year. Go Naders
  19. I didn't know if Alcoa had scrimmaged anyone this spring and if so who was it and how did they fair?
  20. I know everyone on here has predicted fairly high scores for this game. I believe that the game will be low scoring and will be won on defense. I believe that both teams will have scores under 20. There are no super stars on either team and it will be a grind it out type of game. I believe that Sam Thompson will make a play that will change the game in Alcoas favor. Alcoa by 4. 14 to 10
  21. I believe that this has the makings of a great game. Maryville may be a little down this year and are still trying to find all the pieces to the puzzle. Alcoa on the other hand is clicking on all cylinders. I believe that Alcoa can win the game if they commit to pay the price, truely believe that they can win, and leave it all out on the field. I was on the last Alcoa team that beat maryville in 2000 and we had all those ingredients that I just mentioned. I was never more tired than I was after that game. But it was worth it because we came away with the win. Good luck Alcoa and hopefully we will be talking about a victory on Saturday.
  22. I just got back from the the Alcoa and OR scrimmage. They played the best of the best for two regulation quaters and Alcoa won 28-0. I was very impressed and can't wait for the season.
  23. Thanks for the info. It sounds like it is going to be an exciting year once again. I think that Alcoa has an unlimited ammount of potential especially with this coaching staff. I cant wait to see us try and get that fifth gold ball in a row. Go Tornadoes.
  24. There was a scrimmage last night and I was curious to see if anyone knew how the Tornadoes did. Anyone with any info please share.
