It is awful. Just like football. Too many classes. Attendance has been bad state wide all year and that is 100% the TSSAA for not having a clue how to run high school sports

I agree except Alcoa. The people that keep up with Elizabethton football knows why and what is going on.

Enrollment is something announcers and fans throw out looking for an excuse if their team loses. When their team beats a team with less students the enrollment is never brought up. Daniel Boone has more students and Elizabethton has lost 3 games to them ever and Elizabethton plays Science Hill every year and hold their own. I agree both teams will probably be down a little. If the Elizabethton transfer is playing QB for DB the game will be a little more interesting.

Boone and Elizabethton is a big money game and that is what out of conference games are for. Some schools in this area can’t figure that out and play non conference games and the visitors bring 47 people but hey they get an easy win and get bragged on in the paper Saturday morning.

Seems like refs call what they think it is instead of what they see. That was a good play luckily PC got an int so call did not hurt.

Idk why TSSAA takes officials from regions. Some regions have bad refs like bad teams. So take the best refs even if there are 2 from some region.

Greeneville must have been all Ballard. Since he left can’t get past 3rd round and they have had some talent. Looks like to me if you take away what they want to do they can’t make adjustments. Need to change the offense because past 2 years in playoffs they have trouble scoring.

Jumping from a smaller high school to an oc at a FCS school no way. Plus ETSU might be a sinking ship. I should have said drama with certain fans. I didn’t understand the play calling at the end of either half.

Where would he go? To coach High School he would have to move because no good local jobs will be open. I thought he handled all the drama with some fans great this year. He might have to go through that drama again next year though.

Idk what elizabethton was doing at end of first half or with a little over a minute to go in 4th. I can’t believe Elizabethton kicked the fg but he made it but is was 4th and 2 or 3.

Elizabethton won’t bring as many as usual. Look at last 3 home games. I know home side regular season is sold out but the Volunteer and Seymour games a lot didn’t show and the Carter playoff game I know the band was not going to perform so that takes out a lot but still a low crowd.

I say the weather will hold the crowd down.

Science Hill is same way. They have won state in basketball and baseball and have never came close in football. I think they have made it to 3rd round before. Idk if DB has made it past 3rd round or not.
