If UHS shakes up the Carthage qb, it's all over, and that's who they'll aim for. Then they'll shut down Manning and Williams. The qb is seriously inexperienced and just doesn't have the nerves it takes for game playing like this but ... Go Owls!

Each game is important and should be considered a learning experience. I think our team will grow and get better, the boys will settle down and find their rhythm ..... have faith!! Noah Smotherman will develope into a good quarterback, he's like a puppy, tore all to pieces to get to play, he's always been like that, but he'll get the job done!!

The other boys in blue continue to struggle and build a football program. It's hard to guess what kind of season they'll have as you never know which team is showing up. They get all jacked up just to stumble and give up. I've seen some good teams come out of Gainesboro, boys just aren't motivated there anymore seems like. Maybe if they had the community support that girls basketball does it would be different, maybe they would believe in themselves but until then ...... sad

eat before you get here, the Timberloft will be packed unless you get here early or there is also the Courtyard in Gordonsville, best burger in town there. Also a food truck serving GREAT bbq may set up between the interstate and Carthage, that would be the best place to get dinner !!!! Of there's the Rose Garden at the 273 exit, somewhat homecooking and good fish, great grilled cheeseburger .....

the weather may be a factor here as well, but I'm convinced that Gville will surprise people this yr, I hope I'm not wrong lol ..... I believe in the Blue and White, in the boys abilities to surprise and their desire to do that same!!!
