tn high shouldn't be over looking the cougars, they have alot of talent but they don't have the wins to show for it. take a look back at the 03 game between the two at the stone castle where the cougars lost on a botched call by a ref in the endzone of beating the vikes 29-28. If I was the mighty vikes I wouldn't be thinking about the rebels just yet.

What is everyones thoughts on central moving up to AAA in. Will they be as good as the basketball team.

I am not taking anything away from Gabe he was the best in NET this year. if you put last years team in AAA then they would have beat DB because they had more size yet they where also fast except for one or two. Where is Gabe n Phil going to college at?

the league MVP should go to a player off of the 1st place team in that conf. which was science hill just how carrol won it last year. Gabe if very deserving and he should get MVP he is a great player but central came in third.

Great crowd at the dickie dome and great win by the cougars. To bad it took 26 games to finale get a big student section tho. Thats what it looked like when I played for the cougars. Seniors steped up when they needed them the most tonight with gabes big shot and phil's defense on dockery at the end.

1st off i didnt understand why the crowd rushed the court and celebrated like they had one another sub state game, they beat a small single A team from south west virginia not much of a big game besides senior night and homecomeing.You cant say that central was not throwing any elbos or anything. Gabe and Hess threw their share of them aswell. For the .9 second that was left was the longest .9 ive ever seen Gabe caught the ball and dribbled twice and the play before that when one of the twin springs players was on the floor McCoy and Dinkle both jumped on his back and shouldnt that be a foul. But all in all it was a good ball game and congrats to the central seniors on winning their last home game of their careers.

I thought this was suppose to be a topic on how central was comeing on stronge at the end of the season. not how shot or turnovers johnson has, but if ur going to argue that he gets on to his teammates to harshly, he doesnt a team needs someone to step up and tell his teammates to get in gear instead of the coach doing so. now lets get back on the topic of central. Nate is a good point guard but when everyone leaves him by himself in the back court its hard not to have turnovers and make mistakes. If central wants to win the tournament T.V. needs to get out of the press when the team has beetin it 4 or 5 times in a row. Thats what hurt last years team and what will hurt this years in the tournament. Good luck cougars and Phil keep shooting the ball when you get it cause u dont get it much.

The reason why Phil hasnt been playing to his potential is because there is two guys that take all the shots and leave the rest of the team out. Phil probably gets 6 or 7 shots a game and thats not enough for the best shooter on your team. All i got to say is Phil shoot the ball when you get the chance, it may be your only time to.

the reason why central cant play any D is because they dont work on it in practice. I have seen there practices and the 1st 45 minutes is shooting drills then they work on half court offense and at the end they scrimage each other and that is pretty much run up and down the court shooting layups. If they would spend 30 minutes aday you could see the difference in nite and day. Last year they did mostly defensive drills toward the end of the year and look where that got them. Hold ur heads up cougars you'll soon start winning like central knows how to.

If central would have played anyone besides the state champs last year at state, the game would have been much closer and if i remember right at one time central closed the lead to 10 or 12 points then the coach took the starters out and put the 3rd string in. By the way where was your team at, thats right at home.

if cocke county would have made there 1st eleven shots the game would have been alot closer. they couldnt beat a freshman team on a good day. good game over from gabe but not that much from anyone else on the team. gabe wont be able to carry the team all year. he needs some help from the outside hess and weatherford.

i heard that sullivan central was playing bolivar central again. rematch from the first round of the state tournament

i agree central has to many players on the team and the coach takes time away from the players that play on the jv but dress varsity. He only lets the jvers on varsity play 2 quarers during the jv games. I always thought that was to get those players ready for the varsity level, not let them play a little on jv and sit the bench the whole year on varsity.

biggest rivalry last year way sullivan central and unicoi county. they played four times and every game was close.

The Leonard and Beverly guys didnt take to many shots last year. They did what any good post players do, and didnt take as many shots as Phil and Gabe or Hess did. Leonard and Beverly led the team to state last year and central will miss Beverly's average of double doubles a game a Leonards 12-19 points a game.

Weatherford and Gabe are both good ball players but Gabe has a attitude problem on the court if someone plays tuff D on him he looses it and Weatherford is soft, thats why he shoots the ball outside. Central lost their best player jesse lane in football due to a knee injury, and just because you get a letter dont meen that the school wants you to play for them. it just meens that your coach told them about you. i know from experence.

I thought that this was a thing about the central cougars not tennessee high vikings or the sullivan east patriots so if you all want to talk about each other start your own forum. so if theres nothing to say about the cougars then dont talk about other schools.

i also agree that vaughn should leave the starters in longer together. When they seem to get going he will pull out one of them and mess every thing up and it takes them until the 2nd half to get things going once again. Whats everyones oppinion on this weeks games at virgina high?
