  1. Yet he was stoned tonight when it mattered most. Sometimes you just have to tip your cap to the opposition.
  2. Yeah, it was pretty pitiful. Outplayed in every facet of the game, and I never thought id say this, but Rang was completely outcoached tonight. Just gotta tell it like it is.
  3. Congratulations to Clinton, especially 92. I’m glad for him. Well deserved victory for Clinton. OR offense was awful in the 2nd half, but got to give credit to Clinton for that. One of the most disappointing losses I’ve ever experienced as a Wildcat fan, but it is what it is. A well deserved victory for the Dragons. Congratulations to their fans and their players. They came to play tonight.
  4. Should be a good game. May the best team win.
  5. To be fair, you can say the exact same thing about about every other team the past 30 years, besides Maryville, Alcoa, and Oakland as of late, and a few other select teams. At the end of the day only one team wins it all. What round you lose in doesn’t really matter when it’s all said and done. With that said, I’d rather have to walk in he&@ over broken glass than to lose to Clinton at home in the playoffs. I might puke it if happens.
  6. https://www.oakridger.com/story/sports/high-school/football/2023/11/09/oak-ridge-wildcats-clinton-dragons-face-off-for-second-playoff-game/71477582007/?fbclid=IwAR0SLMPO2_GNHKl4fyj2oPdmKeRtzcZxznq_h0LgyPVFS37-tJWP_YaJZ9E_aem_AbKeyFR-9TH69x6RK9WPfS6J7WIJlK_cJBM8o3ZhamPXTbcJgOHR8wragRNPpFx08xg#losw8ka9gh1cxvr1aa9
  7. I do think it’ll be a better game. Take away those two gift scores we gave Clinton in the last game and that game is a blowout. Could Keith steal a win @ OR to end the Wildcats season? It’d be huge for Clinton’s program, and a disaster for ORs. Clinton could easily come unraveled though if things don’t go their way. There seems to be a lot of friction on that team. Absolutely anything is possible, though. Hope CDR has our guys ready and prepared, Clinton will bring it.
  8. I’m nervous too. I agree, it would be awful. Lol
  9. You have more confidence in the Wildcats than I, but I like your picks for the 4th round.
  10. It’s seriously difficult to beat a really good team twice in the same year, and Powell is really good. I’m picking Powell in the rematch as well. But with that said, if we both (OR & Powell) make it to the semifinals, that means we would have to beat them twice, which would be a h$&@ of a chore in itself.
  11. I agree pretty much with everything you said, but you also have to take into account that the QB is still only a Sophomore, albeit we are deep enough into the season where he needs to cut out some of those throws he makes and just throw the ball away. Like you said, though, I lay a lot of the blame on the coaches for putting him in those types of positions. Right now his arm strength isn’t up to par to make some of the throws he makes, but that will improve as he gets older and stronger. He’s very good for a Sophomore, I will say. Granted, he has some great weapons available out there, which certainly helps his cause. Also, don’t forget #2. He’s starting to blossom, but as you alluded to, this time of the season it’s good to put the ball in the hands of your seniors, for the most part.
  12. Why do you think we will win easily? Not saying we won’t, but just interested in others’ opinions. Clinton seems to be on a little roll. Granted, besides MC their opposition has been quite soft during that run. And honestly, it seemed like MC fell way down from where they were midway through the season. Clinton does deserve credit though. I don’t want to take anything away from what they’ve accomplished past 3-4 weeks.
  13. EH QB is super elusive. As much or even more so than Clinton’s QB. They had some of the best skill players we’ve played all season. Remember they beat WV too. EH ain’t no slouch by any means. It’s hard to believe WV only put up 10 against their defense though.
  14. We have gotten most back, hopefully #8 will be back this coming Friday night.
  15. Yeah, I actually was kinda disappointed, tbh.
  16. Should be interesting. Hard to beat a team twice in the same year.
  17. Yeah, he’s been trolling like that for a good 3 years or so. Surprised you’re just now catching on. Lol
  18. Well, I shouldn’t say EVERY private does that, but there’s a reason for the public/private split. It’s not a very level playing field for obvious reasons. Very few public schools can match up on a yearly basis.
  19. Yes, unless Boone gets that Blazer guy in the lineup that posts on here.
  20. This I agree with. HS rankings are meaningless anyway.
  21. Yeah, about 3-4 skill players, from my understanding, not the whole team.
  22. I’d hope so, given they can get about any kid they want.
