In Boykins defense, if not for a game-winning shot by Manassas last year, Humboldt would have won the state title. But yal all are right that HB has had the talent year in and year out to win state titles consistently. I actually think the year Epperson played for HB and took his team to the first or second round of the state tournament was the best team he has had and could have easily beat last years team. I also agree that Sisco does a great deal with the average talent he has, if Sisco isn't at UC, UC is fighting with the rest of the lower pack of the district with Peabody, Halls, and Greenfield.

Anybody know that box score and the high scorers of that game?

Congrats to Union City and Humboldt on their wins tonight. Anybody in Trenton tonight definitely got their moneys worth! Union City winning on a last second 3 in OT and Humboldt surviving LC, but that game could have easily went into OT as well if not for a couple of missed free throws. I would like to give a shout out to Trenton though. They beat Halls Tuesday by 20 even though they lost both regular season meetings and tonight taking UC to the limit, they are playing really good, I look for them to upset someone before the seasons over. Tonight had to be one of the best semi-finals ever in District14A.

I wouldn't count Peabody or Halls out in that game. Peabody already beat West Carrol AT West Carrol at the beginning of the year, but Peabody hasn't been able to beat Halls yet so who knows...

Lcwildfalcon, The player you are refering to, #25, is Steven Williams. He was the one who hit the 3 at LC to send the game into overtime. easycheesy, Jeremy Vaughn is definitely a wiser pick for the All District Team.

I agree with most of yours except for Dalton Craddock, I'm from Trenton and theres no way he would make an All District Team this year. If your goin to pick anybody from Trenton it would have to be either Steven Williams, Jeremy Vaughn, or possibly Jake Lewis. Other than that Trenton doesn't really have any stand out players.

Halls, no matter if they win or lose their last district game, will finish 4th because of the 2 wins over Trenton. They will have the home game against Trenton.

Peabody fought a tough game the first time they played LC and came out with a OT victory. Last night LC had a few more players that can really play. They made a huge difference in the paint and Peabody's undersized team had it hard in there guarding the new guys along with Roberson. LC will definitely impress come tournament time.

Its write not right, and nobody would assume that the officiating decided the game because I clearly stated it comes down to team play.

I believe I said that it still comes down to how the teams play, not that the officiating cost us the game. I said it was terrible but I never said it cost us the game. Think before you start to type.

Terrible officiating in this game and if you disagree you are out of your mind and have no knowledge of the game at all. But with that being said it still comes down to the play of the teams. Greenfield came to play, Peabody did not. Congrats on the win.

Coach Sisco has got to be one of the best coaches in 1A basketball or possibly in the state. Year after year he is able to will his kids to compete even with them being a little undersized. He always has them prepared night after night to play with the best of the best. UC has been on a role all season and I think even with the additions to the Falcons team, UC still comes out with a 6 point win. 71-65.

Looks like LC didn't show up, but I also know the HBT players didn't like losing that first matchup too much. Statement game for HBT.

First meeting humboldt wins by 4 but Dunbar doesn't play. This time its in Humboldt and Dunbar is playing. If LC comes to play, which they usually do against HBT, then they have a shot of coming out with a win. I wish I could be there to see if this Cody Taylor plays, I really wanna see what he brings to the table. I don't think Dunbar will make a great difference if Taylor plays but i think he does make his presence felt. Humboldt by 6.
