  1. You are thinking James Nicholson, who they just added to their staff as an assistant coach. 2x AA from ODU. Baylor making some serious moves.
  2. Appears to be Junior Khamari Whimper, at least what Baylor is saying on line. Social Circle GA (outside of ATL). Google him, Stud. Whimper, Murphy, Parker... Maybe the top three in TN now.
  3. Excellent list. What year did HWT Scott Wells graduate? I think he just misses this list 2000 list.
  4. E.J. Junior. Maplewood. AA at Alabama, 13 year pro, 2x pro bowler.
  5. Haha, you are correct. My apologies for confusing you with Werazzlin. Still don't understand you singling out King in cbg's post and never mentioning any of the other wrestlers that accomplished the same thing (beating kids that still aren't used to not having recess) or any of the other posters that mentioned middle school. Those wrestlers all deserve credit for stepping up an repping TN nationally and I am just shocked that someone would take the time to get on here and belittle their accomplishments.
  6. You are killing me coach. First you bring up the middle school and 6th grade team finishing 2nd then a few posts later you jump on cbg IN CAPS for mentioning a middle school accomplishment "this thread is to discuss the "FRESHMAN/SOPHOMORE nationals" and tell him to start a middle school thread. Then you call Wilkins a "BEAST" and downplay King's accomplishment. I didn't read where you wrote Wilkins wrestling the little boys at freshman sophomore nationals and challenging him to go to Flo. What's your problem with King and cbg and now me?
  7. "So King going undefeated at freshman/sophomore duals at a higher weight class is a good, but not great accomplishment." was your statement. I assume your opinions of the other freshman/sophomore wrestlers that went undefeated are the same. Or maybe you mean that only in Kings case it was a good, but not great, accomplishment.
  8. Thanks for clarifying Westernwrestler. I though this was a big deal but now, with your expert insight, realize that Eli, Boykin, Brock, Sells, Wilkins etc, just had a "good, but not great accomplishment." I now question why we wasted the gas.
  9. According to the letter, the TSSAA asked Bradley to propose penalties, Bradley did, and the TSSAA accepted them with no additional punishment. Is that how it usually works and is usually worded? What I mean is does the TSSAA usually call and say hey it you do this and this that should take care of it but you must at least do this? Or could Bradley have said we are not imposing any sanctions and then the TSSAA would on their own?
  10. What's the story there? Losing all your conference games for 10 years in a row except to the other Catholic school, what do they need to adjust? Wrestling and Soccer seem to do extremely well but football and basketball struggle yearly.
  11. WHO WILL BE THE 2015 #1 Freshman/Sophomore Team in the NationWell we are going to find out because Higher Calling kids club is going to send a team to the AAU Freshman/Sophomore National Duals in Indianola, IA on April 4th and 5th. All of our Cleveland High School Freshman and Sophomores wrestlers are expected to go on this trip. Higher Calling is going to be From the Cleveland HS wrestling site, sure seem to be. And the Jones Center is not part of Cleveland HS?
  12. I checked. Dead period is from June 21-July 4, all sports. It not only governs who can coach but where. Maybe the Jones center isn't considered a Cleveland High School facility? But I'd check because if it is I would think that the "no open facilities and weight training/conditioning" rules might apply. Changing leg attacks part 2 to July 6-10 would remove the possibility of an infraction. Just saying.
  13. I thought the HS dead period started June 21?
  14. They got who they wanted on the team.
  15. Sure they did. UTC dropped baseball in 1982. Not sure when they dropped soccer.
  16. Who wins here? Is this the year Wilson Central finally establishes itself as the dominant middle TN team by knocking off Father Ryan. We've seen it coming, but are they a year away?
  17. Or I guess he did. Above was the Oklahoma City Open. Oklahoma Open was yesterday. HWT Rex Shotts (OU) def Tanner Allen (OSU)

  19. I doubt it for wrestling, but you never know. That would give them Patrick and Frank Simpson, Gillespie, Tarkington, Shone (big man coach), Swett (big man coach), Norton and McMurray. And you wold add Dempsey? Big staff, would have more coaches than state placers.
  20. Just for fun: 106-D2 maj or tech 113-D2 maj 120-D2 maj or tech 126-D1 maj or tech 132-D1 138-D2, already pinned Russo 145 Toss-up 152 Toss-up 160 D2 maj 170 D1 182 Toss-up 195 D1 220 D1 Hwt D1 pin
  21. Great. Now we are in for years of listening to how Alcoa is the best wrestling team in the state while, like their football team, they won't wrestle the best teams in the state.
  22. Simpson from Ryan at 145? Morrice at 152? First time I've seen this.
  23. Ouch. I expected closer. Did MBA have their starting line-up? Any good matches?
  24. Sommers, you do know that all of these articles you are posting are on the main page of coacht, correct?
