Biggest clue that I am comfortable with has already been posted in the Milan thread...just having some fun with BPM, who already knows what I Know. Coach applied for both jobs. I don't give information that affects others, and it should be left up to those involved if and what circumstances the information be released.

The original post said that they were trash and didn't belong on the field...must have been removed because I can't find it. It's not personal to me what is said about Springfield...never been there and not a fan, but their kids don't deserve to be belittled like that for losing a football game.

No Idea if this year was a fluke, but in my opinion there were some "upsets" in the west that contributed to a couple of the lopsided games. Huntingdon and Haywood County didn't make it to Cookeville (their own fault) but in my humble (no disrespect to Cornersville or Springfield) opinion were much better suited to play against the competition faced from the east. I somewhat agree that the privates select their student body, so in effect a school consisting of a small number of students could compete with anyone if it were their intent. No idea how to eliminate an agenda if there is one in that case, unless TSSAA regulates "athletic scholarships" as colleges do.

I get that. What had/has me confused is the fact that I berated someone for bad mouthing the Springfield kids, and the reply was something to the effect of "get in the weightroom". Nothing to do with someone calling kids trash, and me having a problem with it.

You're right...even though I attempted to differentiate between the post I responded to and the post that I had the problem with, I should have went back to find it and respond to it directly. I'd still like to know what the "weight room" comment was about.

I usually refrain from such name calling, but to post that about teenage kids who have just suffered a great disappointment takes a moron. Find his post if you care to, and then reply with your defense of THAT Greenefield fan. We have a weight room at Scotts Hill...I wasn't being defensive because my team lost (not my team), just letting you know what I think of people who bad mouth kids. Type "dynasty" into google search and you get a picture of Larry Hagman...try "football dynasty" and you get the 49'ers, Steelers, Packers, Browns, Cowboys, and Dolphins for periods during which they dominated...and won championships. No mention at all of the Bills, who owned the AFC for 5 or 6 years and made four consecutive appearances in the championship game...without winning. I doubt that even winning one during that time would include them with the dynasties listed above, but that's speculation. You might want to look in the rearview for South Pittsburg approaching before you christen anyone too soon...I think that they will have a say in the matter before long. Before any of the real Greenback fans get jerked out of shape at my comments, I'm not intending to show disrespect...y'all have a great team and a good shot at the prize this year, but "little 'ol Cornersville" will not concede just because they are in unfamiliar surroundings, and won't play like they are just happy to be there...they've had the opportunity to be that, but that hasn't been good enough yet... I think a silver ball for them would be a disappointment.

Errrr...I think that you may be a bit off on this one 'Bass. Ole CB 10 has always been ummm...brash. Go back and check out some of his verbal stylings with TC Stinger, Seven, Snoball, Slimshady, and lots more that weren't TC faithful. Never seen anyone that could talk that kind of smack when his teams were 1 or 2 win's per season good...but I loved it then, and more now. GO '10...hope the Bulldogs win state for the "little guys" that aren't supposed to, but really would love to hear how the "haters" get blasted then!!!

The"Jerry guy" you referred to just showed up recently, and that's the kind I'm talking about. Shows no respect to other teams and probably knows nothing about them, just talking smack because they were having a great season...that's not a true fan. Haywood had a great team this season, but I'm not a fan of theirs...just talking football with some people from Springfield who love their team and support them. Springfield did outplay and outcoach the Tomcats, and I'm happy for them...they deserved to represent the west for it, and I sincerely hope that they bring home the gold ball. I thought that Haywood would win, and I was wrong because Springfield did what they had to do to beat a more talented team...I think that Greeneville is probably better too, but I hope that the Jackets have one more in them. Some say that the best team doesn't always win...I say that the best team NEVER always wins. The '72 Dolphins are the last undefeated team in the NFL (45 years), yet there's always a "best" team.

Not trying to be cocky at all, just don't tolerate well these newbies who make bold statements AFTER the fact. Myself and the Springfield faithful (who I have lots of respect for) have discussed football, and the teams they've played civilly and respectfully...then some Johnny come lately makes multiple brash statements AFTER the game. If Haywood had won, nobody would have heard from him at all. Best of luck to the Jackets...hope you can bring it home!
