  1. RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.
  2. I realize there is a lot of animosity toward the principal at 825, but does anybody actually think any of this would’ve happened if GQ had been there? I seriously doubt it. More than a couple of guys drawing good checks need to grow a pair.
  3. I can’t think of that 83 game without picturing DW’s little grin!
  4. Exactly right OR2. I say it was our sick kicker’s fault! In fairness, the ‘82 f’n hairtage team was good. The ‘83 team played ALOT of sophs.
  5. Congrats! I’ll be your first. It’s kind of silly. I can see where it would help teams to have more 19 yr olds playing, Not so much for the kid. It’s a sum of the parts I guess. As a coach, I’d rather have 30 who redshirted.
  6. 100%. Need a couple of skill guys to both match up and be matched up with. I think they are playing other sports.
  7. Sounds nice. I hope they don’t put it out toward Seymour with the baseball field.
  8. Yes. Or Lower Alabama if cruitin in the pan handle.
  9. Stars-FYI-I hear LA has a young RB being courted by Lane. I hope LA doesn’t build a wall!
  10. Same thing in baseball. And football for that matter.
  11. The one with the hammer should drive out toward Seymour for one of the home baseball games. If you come during a track meet, you can also get your walking steps in for the week. It’s like nobody talks to each other.
  12. Does the AD not have a role in what the athletic programs do at 825? ADs are in the administration for a reason after all.
  13. Back to grass! All for it! BTW - I saw a nice looking new field out near walland gap yesterday. It looks great. I hear the one in LA also looks good. How long before the "new" thing is having a real grass field?
  14. And I didn’t know they had a swim team. Prolly $1K to be on those teams as well. I think the golf coach should be an easy fill. I can’t remember many good divers except for a couple of buddies that used to jump out of the trees up at the Sinks.
  15. Does the new kid play baseball? Let me guess… Or can he teach hitting?
  16. I think the new gym floor also has some yellow paint on the floor.
  17. Never underestimate the power of Christmas Day garbage service! The gift that keeps giving.
  18. The rebs are lucky to have such fans…credit to you rw. I watched online. It looked like we were as good as Cookeville, but not that day. Great season for those 2 seniors and all. Best team in ET.
  19. I realize this is an early football thread, and there are various rumors floating around about portal opportunities, but has anyone else noticed the segregation of athletic programs at 825? For the first time in my 12 yrs, I didn’t see a fan or school official at any of the baseball games during spring break - only parents. Maybe it’s only happening with baseball? I hope the basketball team got support in the glass house. Did anybody go to middle TN other than parents?
  20. Good for them. You never know. They got a shooter, a center, a point guard, and a shutdown defender. Hopefully, they can make some shots.
  21. Thx Crow. The young boys from 825 may be shell shocked, but don’t dismiss them.
