  1. NFHS charges a fee. Not sure about a free stream
  2. No dog in this fight either, but I'll take Maryville +38 if you're up for it
  3. Let's not forget that Alcoa's best playmaker basically didn't play the entire game
  4. Drew and Izaiah. Maybe Izaiah will play something besides QB..... he's a good athlete. Yes, Hammonds was a really good RB
  5. Hard to believe the Cocke County connection at Greeneville.....2 of your QBs right now. In the past, Willie C, the Pruitt boys, etc
  6. DB is unbearable to watch. Their coach is apparently milking the clock every play. That's cute and all, but play some dang football!
  7. Anyone else having trouble finding the broadcast on DiamondClear?
  8. Once again, my point still stands. Even if the public schools only beat the privates 30% of the time, they are still competitive. And this primarily holds true for the really good public schools. The privates should win 70% or more of the time. They have obvious advantages.....which is why they're private. Oh, and you keep mentioning the IFL (which apparently you don't know the meaning of), but the games I mentioned are not "crap" as you say, and it's not "all imaginary". They actually took place, and unbeknownst to you, the games actually count. If Brentwood Academy doesn't have Maryville on their schedule, is it BA's fault or Maryville's fault? I say the truth lies somewhere in the middle. If MBA doesn't have Oakland on their schedule, is it MBA's fault or Oakland's fault? Likewise, I think the truth is somewhere in the middle. As far as why a specific team doesn't end up on another specific team's schedule, there are certain motivational factors including financial motivations and schedule conflicts that dictate acceptable explanations as to why someone didn't meet up on the field. I don't think that either is afraid to play each other, as you implied. If you want to do a study or comparison as you suggest, knock yourself out. I'll be here to say the same......the really good public schools can compete with the privates on any given night. And the private team coaches and players would echo the same sentiment.
  9. The really good public teams can for sure compete with DII. To say otherwise is asinine. 6A Science Hill from East TN lost to Brentwood Academy 45-42 in 2014. That same year, Maryville beat Science Hill 45-0. 6A Blackman beat McCallie in 2015 At the time 2A Alcoa beat McCallie in 2005 6A Oakland beat Baylor in 2014 6A Whitehaven lost to Brentwood Academy 17-14 this year 3A Pearl Cohn beat MBA this year 6A Independence beat MBA in 2009 4A Melrose beat Christian Brothers in 2006 and 2007 6A White Station beat Christian Brothers this year 6A Ravenwood beat Father Ryan last year And there have also been numerous close losses for public schools to privates I knew some of these, and some of these I figured out in about 10 minutes of research. I'm sure there are other examples. Just because everyone doesn't play everybody else every year, doesn't mean that they can't compete. Ask Brentwood Academy fans or players if they think Whitehaven can compete with DII. I think we both know the answer to that. And Oakland or Maryville will win 6A this year, not Whitehaven, so I'd say Maryville or Oakland could compete with BA or other DII teams as well
  10. That's a stretch to say that. Whitehaven, Oakland and Maryville could compete with or beat any team in DII most years
  11. Who's "y'all"? I'm not a Cosby fan. Regardless, Fayetteville was much better than Cascade this year. They beat them by 29, beat them by 21, and lost to them by 4.
  12. Not this year or even most years. At worst, Cosby would have been the 3rd best team in your district. Behind you and Fayetteville.
  13. I actually do. Plus, I've been on here a really long time.....You have too. Your 'young one' still playing the instrument?
  14. My point exactly.........."Congratulations on your victory, but we beat ourselves". It's never a genuine, classy post.
  15. When Greeneville has lost in the past, he is always full of excuses and never compliments the other team. It's always, "Greeneville beat themselves", etc. But whatever helps you sleep at night........
  16. I know a few Greeneville fans......nice people. DevilMan03 is not one of them. He's classless and obnoxious.
  17. Gotcha. My apologies. I'm pulling for TN over NC in this game, so bring home the 'W'!
  18. My point is obvious. Do they not teach 'Reading' in Greene Co? Lawnman was implying that the Pisgah fans were arrogant.....stating that Greeneville was slow, didn't look good on film, etc. But truth be told, the opposite is the case. The arrogance is flowing from the Greeneville fans. Follow me now? Be arrogant all you want. I personally don't care. Just don't lie about what's actually being said. I have no dog in this fight, but I love high school football.
  19. The bottom line is this:. On that website, the Greeneville fans are 100% confident that their team will win the game, and the Pisgah fans are 0% confident that their own team will win the game. That tells you all you need to know about which fan base is doing the most chest-thumping.
  20. You obviously haven't read the thread at all. The Greeneville fans have been predicting a blowout, and the only person saying that Greeneville is slow is a guy that hates Pisgah. At least get your facts straight
  21. If I'm not mistaken, Alcoa was 4-21 in the last 25 games against Maryville heading into the game tonight. So just because Alcoa rarely beats Maryville, they now should be in 6A??
