  1. I was chillin' on the back row. Going again tonight to check out East Hamilton and Tyner. Yea, youngest daughter is a senior.
  2. Lots of young guys. Don't know how many will stick it out. JV's been looking good, so hopefully some of them will step up as the year progresses.
  3. Watched Franklin Co. vs Soddy at Finley. Franklin Co.'s got some ballplayers. They will be a stout opponent this year.
  4. Boyd was impressive. Picked Voytek twice. #29 John Hale is a beast.
  5. Dancing with the stars is too tame for me. I prefer dancing that requires more athletic ability.
  6. Is them the flat rolled, hard dumplins or the fat drop biscuits?
  7. Hey barb, You ever hear'd the one about the old bull and the young bull and the pasture of heifers?
  8. That looks serious. Coach Ballard needs to lighten up a little.
  9. At a boy. Looks like I woke up one of the TC faithful. Where's Slim?
  10. Maybe he's talkin' about how good we treat ours.
  11. Anymore of yer Buccaneers wanna jump ship? We got room on Signal, and the tuition is cheaper.
  12. How could anybody enjoy the stinch of that drainage ditch?
  13. Believe I caught a glimpse of the Pirates' exposed underbelly Tuesday.
  14. Unless somebody else wants to vote, I declare Signal Mountain the winner. Guess we just win everything.
  15. I think Waterboy put a little too much Full Throttle in the water jug.
  16. Now, Squaw, that's just a down right hateful thing to say. When we were starting to open the school, we had no senior class, half a junior class, and everbody wuz transfers. We didn't even know who would transfer back up to the mountain and who would stay private. As I recall at the time, everybody praised us for a smart decision to play JV for one year, since we were building a program from scratch. As it turned out, we had a darned good group of guys, even though most were freshmen and sophomores. Once they're in the JV class, whatcha gonna tell em to do, Don't Play Hard? These guys grew as a team, and in their first year of varsity ball, threw away a heartbreaker to Cascade in the second round of the playoffs. That was our first senior class, and still only half a class. The second year, when the initial guys were now juniors and seniors ... well, you know what happened. Now that's a pretty good story, you gotta admit. And...true, too. How 'bout somebody cut us a little slack every once in awhile?
  17. My reply, from the tfp comments Reply to please, Although I may disagree with your basic premise, I respect your opinion. I hope you will continue to financially support the academic mission of all the schools on Signal Mountain by contributing to the Mountain Education Foundation. As I am sure you know, the MEF is the non-profit fundraising organization that supports the varied needs of all the schools on the mountain, which are not met through the funding shortfalls of the Board of Education. Although I will continue to support a number of the various "Booster" programs at the school, the majority of my financial support still goes to the MEF for the betterment of the entire education system on Signal Mountain.
