  1. McMinn did not play very well, turnovers obviously are killing them. I liked their first play though, i had been sayin they should throw it to Tyler Cobb more and what happens, a touchdown first time on a streak, but i don't think they really tried that again which was dissapointing. Devon ran pretty well but that interception of his killed us i think, and he fumbled a couple times. Trace ran hard but Farragut was just so much bigger up front. I thought Sterling ran well for Farragut, he had some big holes.
  2. Ok i'm tired of hearin bout this 3rd and inches play..problem is, they are throwing on third and INCHES, let me remind you, INCHES, and not to mention against one of the best corners in East Tn if not the whole state. That play took the ball out of our hands when we were driving, yea i know the QB underthrew him and yea i know it's not the coaches fault but give me a break you could have thrown the next play. Our receivers probably don't even remember what it's like to have a pass thrown to them
  3. I agree. he had 180 somethin yards though...It's about time they started to mix up the playcallin and not be so predictable, maybe the option some(it picked up a couple chunks of yardage vs Ooltewah and we didn't run it one time last night), a shotgun formation, Devon has a good arm, i think his stats last night didn't quite do him justice because of drops, receivers not lookin and havin to throw deep balls at the end. Trace needs to play defense though, most of the other good players around here do, and last year he was arguably the best defensive player we had.
  4. I was just hopin they would throw just one ball up to Tyler Cobb and let him try and make a play, just once. They did on their last drive and had at least a 40 yard gain but there was an illegal motion penalty
  5. I agree with most of that...except the part on Holland...he has taken more of a leadership role this year i think and played very good in the first game, but he didn't play as good as usual vs Ooltewah. Usually you can depend on him to never miss a tackle, but he missed a couple of big ones friday
  6. Easy question...Hunter Dees..he must be the best golfer in the entire world
  7. You couldn't possibly be talkin about an Adam or Neal baldwin could you from McMinn? If you are thats hilarious
  8. McMinn does have a good rush defense, i think they can contain Marshall, not sayin he wont get some good yards, but they can contain him..Offensively, we have a few good backs, notably Trace who i think is the best back in the region. And passing the ball we have gotten much better, Devon has a great arm and is a threat to run the ball at any time...but i hear Ooltewah has a pretty good D too so who knows what might happen in this game
  9. Sounds like a dirty play...they did call a penalty on that right
  10. McMinn wins 50-14...offense looked very good running and passing. Defense looked good. Niko Jackson ran the opening kickoff back for a TD. Trace had 3 touchdowns and Devon had 2 touchdown passes...this was a great game for McMinn but i'm not sure how good Central is so it's to early to tell how good this team really is...the only bad thing tonight was penalties and fumbles...Trace finished with 16 carries for 232 and Devon went 7-7 for 153
  11. Yeah but they messed up the forty times...they both run a 4.47...not a 4.7
  12. And he missed most all of the Heritage game...you wont be able to stack the line with Devon at Qb
  13. Ok who is this guy? First you say Ooltewah won't make the playoffs, then you say that Bradley is better than Soddy and McMinn...are you ok?
  14. Devon will help McMinn out a lot..he adds that threat of being able to run or throw...very fast and shifty with a cannon

    Ooltewah

A little strong? You must be kidding...he made an absoloute fool of him by yelling at him and telling him he was done, if i remember correctly the ooltewah fans booed him for yelling at Bobby...here's a better question, would anybody be talking about Bobby had he not gone on this tirade?

    Ooltewah

It seems that nobody understands what McMinn was doing in that situation...contrary to what you Ooltewah fans believe, Earls wasn't taking him out because he did a bad job, he was taking him out so he could get an extra attacker, he inserted Jon Winfield into goal so he could use him as a "sweeper-keeper". I also understand McMinn had been practicing that in case they got in that situation..I also don't understand why you praise Bobby Smith so much, don't get me wrong he is a great keeper and did a great job that night, but he made a fool of his coach and his team by making a scene of nothing..
  17. I didn't know they even had a soccer team...
  18. I think it will be a close game, not sure on the outcome yet. But all these people on here think Beau and Blake are gonna have huge games. Alcoa has tons of athletes, and i would bet one of them could slow down Beau a little bit, prolly not much but more than some people could do. And people think Blake is just gonna be able to use his body and back people down this game like he usually does against these weaker post players, well, he will be up against Brandon Warren, and i really dont think that will work quite as well against somebody as strong as him.
  19. Beau didn't guard Brewer. That would have been Daniel Nicolo, he face guarded him the entire time. And i don't think he is better than Juice was in high school. He plays on a better team, but i dont think he is better. I think JaJuan was a more complete player, and more athletic. JaJuan is a much better defender also. I think some people look at some of the shots JaJuan took and because of that kinda doubted him, but alot of times, him takin a fadeaway three was better than somebody shootin a wide open 15 footer. Don't get me wrong though, Beau is a great player and i think he should get a scholly to a solid mid major school. You should also take into consideration that JaJuan played with the Travelers and saw lots of playin time(think he started, but not 100% sure), and like somebody said, Beau played with the Stars and didn't see as much time as he probably wanted.
  20. Shelbyville by 8 or more. Stewart and Twilley prove to be too much to handle
  21. I may be mistakin, but didnt Soddy lose alot of players to graduation last year? I was unsure of why they are being ranked in there.
  22. McMinn lost by 3 to Red Bank at Red Bank in the region semifinals. McMinn was down 8-10 for most of the game until they tied it around 3 minutes left in the 4th quarter. It was a tie game and McMinn had 2 chances to take the lead but turned it over both times and Brandon Moon hit a 3 with 10 seconds left. Justin Hicks had 20 for McMinn and barham had 16.
  23. Anybody see the quote in the paper by Kent Smith saying that on the last play he knew the refs would let the players decide the outcome? Suprising he would say that when the play before they called a hand check 40 feet from the basket with 10 seconds left to let bradley take the lead. How can you call that and not call a foul on Oglesby at the end, he reached all the way across Barham's body to hit the ball(if he actually did hit the ball),
  24. Not real sure why you congratulate those two guys, Brad(in the facemask) had just 4 points and turned it over at the end, and Wells missed some easy putbacks. Hicks and Arnwine kept it close with some clutch baskets around the goal. Winfield also had a couple big buckets.
  25. It was a very good game. McMinn started off slow but got going in the 2nd quarter. Justin Hicks hit a few jumpers in the lane late in the 4th that kept it close. I thought the hand check they called on Brad with 10 seconds left was a little cheap...they were lettin them play all night and then they called somethin like that to decide the fate of the game. But, if mcminn would have hit their free throws, they wouldn't have had to worry about that. McMinn is hoping they play Bradley again in the regions, should be a good game if McMinn gets past Red Bank
