From what I have heard, the coach is no longer with the Royals as of last week.

Do you know of anyone who has shown interest? I would assume Coach Abner would have to be at the top of the list.

Interesting that Abner resigns from Westmoreland around same time Goodpasture opens up. Would. It be surprised to see her land there very soon.

Macon County is not as high caliber as Whites Creek, who made it to the state semi's last year and will probably go to the glass house again. So that statement alone tells a lot of people you bias and lack of knowledge. Key is really good, Clay Co. is not. Not sure about 7A being better then 8A this year. Time will tell if Key can carry the load into tournament play.

Usually Knox Webb and FRA are teams to beat. Not sure what FRA still has though.

Would say Webb but I am not sure what all they have this year. I would have thought DCA would be up there, I had heard hey were very young last year. As BullShark stated I am. It sure anyone can give Northpoint a threat this year if they stay healthy.

Not sure the name of the young lady but supposedly she left CPA and has landed at Ezell. I do not think she is playing but I could be mistaken.

What's the news on the boys job? People still fuming over the girls fiasco with the coach not wanting to leave and then being replaced by AD son.

Very exciting game to watch, but a brutal loss for Coach Pierce. Thought this was the year he would finally get his ring. He has had several teams over the years that could have easily gotten one but fell short. Great coach with horrible luck!

Well I heard from 2 different administrators that he has turned in his paperwork to them for consideration? Do you think he is trying to get leverage for a better deal with Wilson Co?

Sonn would definitely be on the short list you would think, not sure how Lipscomb would be that much of an upgrade over where he is at now.

Is Price leaving? Just heard that he has sent his paperwork to a few schools around the Middle TN area, some even being private. Why would he leave now and if he was hired on somewhere would his son go with him?

The Starks family is a husband & wife combo out of Harding Academy. He is the boys coach as well as the AD and she is the girls coach. Not sure if they both have state titles but I know the boys team has won a few and she was a Ms. Basketball and College player. They could fill both the positions if interested. Mantlo is currently coaching at Harpeth, Lipscomb guy with HC experience. Not saying he would be at the top of the list but I would say he probably is very interested in the position and fits all of the requirements. I agree it would be hard for Allen but you never know what type of package Lipscomb would throw at him. I believe the PickettCo coach played at Freed and is Church of Christ. He might be another one that could show some interest. If they moved to DII, I believe that Lipscomb would be DII-AA due to the number of students.

It will be tougher then some people think. I do see a possible 7a sweep but both Goodpasture and Watertown can get a win out this weekend. Jackson doesn't seem to be playing their best ball right now and Pickett has been hit with the injury bug and is not very deep. Foul trouble could play a factor. Clay and Clarkrange should breeze through their games, with Clay winning by as many as they want to. As far as Key transferring, as I stated it's all hear say. Rumors come and go, the young man is obviously very talented and has a very bright future wherever he plays ball.

With both coaches stepping down,and a possible move to DII-AA, who are the coaches on the wish list for Roller? The religious aspect will play a factor in this. Here are a few that may or may not be interested and some who LIPSCOMB would be crazy not to approach. 1. John Pierce - Obvious choice here, DLU guy who has a great resume and has DII experience. Not sure if he would be interested but would definitely make him say no. 2. The Starks Family - The boys and girls coach from Harding Academy out of Memphis would fill both openings. Great resumes with multiple state championships. Another one I would make say no if Pierce is off the table. 3. Adam Sonn - Great resume with multiple State tournament appearances in DII. Plus you would be taking a coach from your oldest rival who holds several victories over you. Not sure if there would be interest but make him say no. 4.Will Mantlo - This guy would jump at the chance to coach. Played for both HS and college. Has to be on list. 5. Pete Froedden - Meyer guy, very intense, good coach. I think would listen to an offer. I'm sure there will be some outside interest as well. Let me know your thoughts and any names I might be missing!

Season coming to an end now so the rumor mill will pick back up. Any coaches jumping ship, retiring, or just getting canned? Heard a tidbit over the weekend that the coach over at Watertown is looking elsewhere. Possible job coming open in Rutherford Co as well.

Rumor mill running rampant with Key going to anyone of the big privates, to a prep school, and even possibly one of the big boys in the boro! Only time will tell. Either way he is fun to watch!
