Surely you're not taking a jab at jab at a 14 year old girl soccer player? I hope not. Being knowledgeable about multiple sports is a good thing. Knowledge is good, don't be afraid. Pipeline? Kids have historically transferred after 8th grade from local public schools to privates. If you're not aware of this you're a knuckle dragger. Actually, I may have just insulted knuckle draggers everywhere? It's the exact point I've made throughout this thread. Transfers happen everywhere. Kids want to play for some coaches and attend certain schools. Lastly, all you have to do to see how good of a job CPA is doing teaching basketball is watch their MS teams. They are very well coached and have good results. Its arguably the best program from a teaching perspective around. First off there was no jab at a 14 year old soccer player thrown anywhere in my post. The jab was the fact you said you didn't have a dog in the fight so take your whining over to another board where you do. You have thrown jabs at Goodpasture and there coach (who you say is a friend yet you bash him on here) because of the opinion you have that they are copying CPA. Just by reading your posts people can tell that you know very little about the "model" CPA has going. Sure there middle school program is good NOW. That is what happens when you bring in top talent from all over the state and now other states and your program becomes recognized nationally. People want their kids put in the best position to shine. I'm surprised with all of your drooling over CPA you haven't jumped ship yet and put how ever many kids you have over there. Obviously they have a better program then what DCA can offer, especially in girls sports. I can't wait to read your next "knowledgeable" post about how great the CPA model is, Goodpasture coach is a cheater, and how DCA has a pipeline from Donelson Middle school but it's ok because they are not as good as the other privates.

KG, playerscoach, shouldn't you be on the girls soccer page instead of the boys basketball page? That way you would have a dog in the hunt. Still never answered my question about that Donelson Middle school pipeline a certain minister/coach set up over at DCA. Where did that model come from?

I wonder how many "transfers" DCA had when they won their title a few years ago? How is that pipeline a certain minster set up from Donelson Middle school working out over there. This guy is a clown arguing about other schools bringing kids in when your school is doing. I'm sure the coach at Goodpasture is not your friend or you wouldn't be on here making comments about him. Talent follows talent and maybe kids want a coach who knows what they are doing and can help them achieve their goals, however big or small they are.

Kentucky has the best system. 1 Tournament = 1 Champion. Everyone against everyone. 5 champions is to watered down. And just wait, if and when this split ever happens the people who constantly get on here and whine about privates will turn all of their attention to the big open enrollment schools. And before you get on her spouting off who is better and who didn't play, you boy started at least 4-5 games last year. Paynes dad lives a block away from Goodpasture (which is Madison for the stupid people like yourself). Also, being from BA I know a little about getting kids to come, much like all of those storied girls,programs you talk about. Not all of that was "homegrown" talent. Shhhhhhhh! Those County schools in 7A do not want anyone knowing about them "persuading" kids to switch schools. I mean that would kill all of their arguments about recruiting and cheating.

So I would assume with MJ starting to heat up a little bit that their coach isn't going anywhere? There have been some rumors of him leaving but I didn't think they were very reliable. Same people saying the WC coach was leaving to.

This is a basketball board, you would have to go to the football or baseball board for that. They realize they are not very good in basketball, and seem fine with that.

At the end of the day, Mitchell won the state title game last year by 29 and return everyone who was major contributors. The won't be touched in Single A. Everyone else just playing for second.

WOW! I'm not sure Goodpasture would want the negative publicity that would come from hiring someone with his history. There are way better candidates out there.

I scouted a team last night that we play first thing after Christmas and noticed they have a new asst coach. This new asst is also an AAU coach on the HS level. Has the rules changed on this, is this legal now?

I understand Mitchell, they shouldn't lose a game in 1A. Why Union City? What makes them a lock?

Goodpasture, Gordonsville, Watertown. Which of these teams will Trousdale beat out? From what I have heard they are going to forfeit games to Goddpasture. Doesnt sound like a top 3 team.

Which coaches are/should be on the hot seat this year? Every year it amazes me how many schools show just how little they really care about their programs by allowing some of these "coaches" to keep their jobs. Here are a few schools from what I've seen. Ezell Harding - cannot believe that guy got the job in the first place, let alone keep it. MJCA - need to gut entire athletic dept. JPII - decent coach but should be winning more with the talent showing up there. Gallatin - Once a powerhouse has been reduced to bottom dweller.
