from what I heard from the McGowan boys, Oakland was 4-3 on the day. 3-2 before lunch with one of them being an out of pool game against Antioch, that's why some were saying it didn't count, only the young kids played against them. So in the pool, we were 3-1 and won it. After the break we had a bye in the first round, beat BGA after they defeated Tullahoma, and lost to Giles County in a shootout after Giles county beat Lavergne bad. The championship game was Cookeville and Giles County..........both of whom Oakland beat at some point during the day. The best thing I heard though was how hard Oakland played.

Well it was hidden today. They were scheduled to be at Lavergne High School in a passing tournament and didn't show up. I was hoping to finally see MC and was disappointed.

Last year they couldn't stop anybody. Will the new DC be able to solve this problem?

not arguing, just curious. Why do they deserve it any more than anyone else in the region?

On other threads, Wilson Central is already having problems with Alexander gone Cookeville couldn't get the job done with over 30 seniors........I just don't see them being a power in any region but the weak one they're in.

Hementoler coaches QB's according to some other posts. Let's see............. Rankin - Alcoa Britton - Franklin Co. Lytle - Gallatin McDaniels - BGA Snow - Eagleville and some dude to Siegel Fields - track only seven coaches gone?? can some of ya'll R'dale guys give anymore info?

Please............not this year. The game's at Oakland and we don't want our "thug-nation" to see anything like that. Besides..........he might get shot!!

Where's spear dawg? Seriously, who's left on staff from the old regime? Wyant, Fields, Gardner, White came back, Collins.......... I don't know any of the others.

I saw where a Riverdale coach is going to Gallatin as O-line coach. Who's gonna be the defensive coordinator?

A Smyrna player told me that Youree has already been late to practice due to detention and then got beat deep while playing in the secondary. Gonna be interesting to see if he ever makes it without quitting.

I'm surprised there are so many Riverdale coaches leaving. Are they being forced out?

Alright coaches.......there's been a big post on the effectiveness of the Wing-T in 5-A football. Let's go to the other side of the ball. When was the last time the 5-A championship was won with a 5-2. Is a split front better? If so.........why?
