  1. This game kind of reminds me of Dresden vs Wayne County in 2016. Wayne County was supposed to show up & show everyone in our region what real football was & well......we all know what happened. If Peabody will continue to open up the playbook, let Baugus throw the ball around and mix things up, I think Peabody wins big.
  2. Dude do you even watch football? Lol UC passes the ball?? I’ve seen these teams play a few times this year & IMO Peabody has got to get back to throwing the ball again if they want to advance. Baugus runs the ball really well but you have to capitalize on his strengths which is the pass. You have a QB with an almost 70% completion average & you keep trying to run it up the middle with a loaded box. Peabody has the athletes to beat UC & win a state championship. It’s time to open up the playbook.
  3. You’d think from keeping up with Dresden that you’d know that we “only” scored 24 points (to be exact) against Gleason in the 1st qtr. The game was called after an extensive lightening delay & Coach Lampkins & Coach Rang made the decision to call the game. So yes the 2016 Lions “only” scored 24 points against Gleason but in 1 qtr.
  4. Any discussion about this game getting moved to Thur night like some of the other games have been because of the potential of storms Fri night? Would like to see this one.
  5. I don’t have a dog in this race & my team obviously has issues of their own to work out but I do have mutual friends from both GC & Trenton & I will say this. Trenton may be posting on social media about how they should have won & the bad calls but GC fans have also been posting like they just won the state championship by beating Peabody. Storming the field & all the little hashtags being used on social media is a little much for a regular season game. I’ve never seen so many GC posters on Coach T unless it was pertaining to girls basketball. Congrats to GC on the win & good luck the rest of the season. That being said, I think this was a good wake up call for Peabody & if they were to meet up with GC again, Trenton wins by 30+.
  6. I haven't heard. I'm assuming with a fractured collarbone he'll be out for awhile. At this point, just hoping he's healthy for basketball. He's an unbelievable basketball player & we'll definitely need him since we'll be without Yates on the court as well. They're both 3 sport athletes & we lose a lot without either of them.
  7. I wouldn’t really call him the new QB. He’s played the QB role several times & was the QB in middle school. He’s a senior & an all around great athlete.
  8. That goes back to the TSSAA ruling of some schools being able to move 8th graders up after season where others can't. Should be all or none. Don't get me started on that one.
  9. We've now lost our 2nd QB to an injury so a lot of pressure will be placed on Jones to lead the Lions the rest of the season. Hoping to see more discipline out of the Lions this week. It's well past time to get the penalties under control.
  10. It is time to move on. Intentional or not, I'm sure the player that everyone is blasting feels terrible. Anyone that saw Yates Facebook post about his knee knows he is handling it with 100% more class than the adults on the T about his injury. We could all learn something from this young man. Instead of bashing young men & football programs, lets pray for him & all the HS athletes competing in every HS sport. You know the risk of injury when you play a sport & you never know when it could be your son or daughter or loved one.
  11. The entire defense from last year's Greenfield team were the group of seniors that graduated. They were the workhorses. It will be interesting to see how the others step up.
  12. I don't have an actual explanation but I do know the sprinklers were only on for maybe a total of 2 minutes. Our head coach & principal took off scrambling to get them turned off. If the water would have hurt anyone it would have been Dresden because it was on our end of the field so I'd say it was a simple mistake & not some sort of conspiracy. LOL Seems to be a lot of video & pictures going around of a lot of things that happened during this game.
  13. Trenton Peabody Juniors QB #3 Cooper Baugus & #7 Noah Halbrook
  14. Nope! Lights are still as you left them. You'd think after winning a state championship in 2016, they would want to make more improvements but the only thing that gets done is what the QB Club is able to do & what McWherter money paid for.
  15. Since we're all already looking forward to this match up, I'll give my two cents. Dresden is much better than I expected us to be coming into the season & Peabody is loaded with talent. It should be a fun game & great competition for both teams but I would have to give the advantage to Peabody based on special teams & penalties.
  16. I've been here just didn't have much to say till I saw our Lions play a couple games.
  17. Haven't commented much going into this season because I honestly wasn't sure what we'd look like this year but after watching a few games, I think this will be a war between two good teams. It obviously means a lot to Lake County or at least to their fans to get the win over Dresden. Gotta go with my Lions in because even if you are able to contain Yates, you have to be able to cover our other good receivers. There's still plenty of talent on this team.
  18. Not asking to be smart but just curious as to why no one has Dresden picked to make it back next year. We’re losing one senior. The rest of the girls have grown up a lot this year. I’ll be the first to say we haven’t played our best ball when we got to the Boro the past two years. Summertown 3’s & turnovers killed us.
  19. Dislocated knee. Following up with a few more tests to be sure nothing is torn. Thanks for asking.
  20. Summertown loses 8 seniors out of a team of 13-14 players. They’ve got a few good young players but I’d expect it to be somewhat of a rebuilding year for them.
  21. Don’t count Dresden out. They didn’t show up to play ball in the State Tournament but did go into double OT against the State Champs in the Regional Championship & only lost by 2 at Dresden to Greenfield. They lose one senior which will be a loss but also have Winn that was playing really good towards the end of the season. They’re a young team that had sophomores really step up in big games & if they can keep everyone injury free this season, could be at the top of Region 7A with Greenfield again.
  22. Summertown is losing 8 seniors so I’m not sure how much talent they’ll return next year. I know they have a couple of very talented freshmen.
