  1. But was school canceled when you played without those 5 players? I didn’t think so. Bledsoe has been closed since early last week. No school. No sports. Nothing. It wouldn’t matter if every player on the team had 3 negative tests, we have not been in school and not been allowed to gather as a team for practice or any other event. That’s my point. How can you justify playing a game with one or two practices? Our school is supposed to open back Wednesday. What I’m hearing is we will be closed the remainder of this week. It’s a obvious danger to the safety of those kids to be put in that situation, whether that kid is banged up from game 1 or healthy as a horse.
  2. Bledsoe was willing to cancel a home non-region game with Monterey to allow Meigs to play on their Bye week. The rescheduling ball went back into Meigs court, and they took the ball and went home. They made the easy call and took the Covid win. Not a good look for Big Bad Meigs, IMO of course.
  3. And here’s the flaw in your thinking. Bledsoe hasn’t had school or practice in what, 10 days? 12 days? Possibly more if what I’m hearing is right. So without practice for those days, and some players being out for 1-2 weeks before that, do you think it would be safe for ANY team to play after that long of a break, one or two days before the game?
  4. Bledsoe did cancel. We are loaded with Covid cases over here. I hate that this game won’t be played because it would have been a good game. However, I did talk to a Bledsoe coach his morning who said Meigs refused to reschedule this game to Meigs’ off week.
  5. I know they refused to play Bledsoe. I think they picked up Cumberland Co. I’m not sure about the rest.
  6. No. Looks like week 8 for us. In between our Tyner and Tellico games.
  7. Big mouth bledsoe fans lol buddy if there’s a more beaten fan base in this valley than us I would like to meet them. I spent the whole season waiting on the ceiling to collapse in Pikeville. Only people we mouthed to are y’all in Dunlap. Can’t wait for the game Saturday, I think Peabody pulls the back to back to back. I may be wrong. All I know is we get to play Meigs week 3 next year and I can’t wait to see it.
  8. Absolutely. Have a lot to replace, just saying with Meigs changing regions, this matchup will happen sooner, or possibly not at all.
  9. Also a good point to make, next year this game could happen in round 2 or 3, not the Semis.
  10. They drove it down the field against bledsoe like that too. Had a lot of success against a good D, but went away from it for some reason. Good season TC.
  11. Only playing 2 quarters every game through the playoffs has to help Meigs a lot.
  12. But unlike this year, you will actually have some tough playoff games before the semis. Even if you won the region next year, instead of playing Watertown/Trousdale in the semi, you would get one of them round two, and the other round three.
  13. Prayers going up from Bledsoe County!
  14. This game is now cancelled due to CB having some Covid issues. Hate to see it affect teams this late. South Pitt is the champs, just a bit sooner than expected.
  15. Marion and Bledsoe are in Region 3 and in Central Time, while the rest of the region is in Eastern time zone (Tyner, Polk, Tellico). I wouldn’t think it would matter.
  16. Beat a top 5 Tyner by 30+ Shut out #6 Marion Held #10 Monterey who was averaging over 30pts/game, to 14 points Shut out our biggest rival on a wet field 35-0 Beat a 4A team But regardless, got to fasten up and play whoever shows up. Go Warriors!
  17. Bledsoe County Quarterback Club just posted this to Facebook: The following is IMPORTANT information about this weeks game with Monterey : Due to Putnam County’s strict guidelines they are limiting their stadium capacity to - 1/3 capacity = 400 people. That is Total number of tickets they are selling for both teams! They are allowing players to reserve two tickets. Those tickets must be paid for at the gate and are only reserved until 6:45 after 6:45 they will sell those tickets as general admission. (We have approximately 42 players and Monterey has about the same number of players so there is a possibility that 168 of the 400 tickets could be spoken for). All tickets sales are at the gate and gates open at 5:30. (NO tickets will be sold online) Tickets will be sold on a first come first serve basis so whoever is in line the earliest will have the opportunity to get tickets. BCHS offered other options such as moving the game to a larger stadium as well as offering to host the game with them getting the gate and they would not agree to do so. They will not accommodate a larger crowd. We have great fans and would love to fill their stadium with our fans but tickets are limited just wanted to let everyone know the situation ahead of time. Mask are required. Tickets are $7
  18. Is Marion limiting capacity for home games? I know Bledsoe hadn’t before Friday night against Dunlap. Just wondering if I need to preorder my tickets or not.
  19. I’ll be honest, Bledsoe looked tired from the bye week Friday night, so how will the 2 weeks off from COVID affect Marion County? What’s everybody thinking? Should be a big game.
  20. It is at 7:30 EST. I think it’s a big deal to be presented on a medium like the CW with our game. Can’t wait for game time, just wish they weren’t limiting tickets.
  21. They don’t draw pictures in the record books. It’s been 80 years and Bledsoe won one against Tyner. It’s almost like this rivalry in a way, it doesn’t matter about records, only the W and the L.
  22. Bledsoe County battles for Chief Roaring Eagle. Will dunlap be able to put up much of a fight, or will the boys from Pikeville stay on the war path?
