  1. Congrats. Didnt see this one coming at all! GB is solid! Weird night for us to
  2. I think you should volunteer your football knowledge and help them. Be the solution. Hindsight is 20/20. Long was in and I along with EVERYBODY in the stadium thought he was getting it. I would have tried to throw again but it was a tough call. Offensive line was a huge disappointment. Not sure what was wrong with them but it will be fixed. I know Goodin and the pride he has for that OL. We were close to doing it again. Depth was a huge factor again. When you play one side of the ball its easier to wear your opponents down. I admired the comeback attempt. It just took all we had out of us. You and I should offer to help coach though, gotta be stressful tho.
  3. Nope. It was the McMinn County Cherokees.
  4. Where did that happen? If its at the passing league then that's real classy. Hit a kid with no pads on. Not "dirty" at all is it?
  5. I agree. 5-5 6-4 hinges on McMinn. Scott and Loudon will be similar in toughness so I picked based on familiarity. IF McMinn edges Central out then its because Central played their worst and McMinn played their best. Its a rivalry so you can throw "on paper" out the window i guess but, Central has the edge at QB, RB, WR, OL and DL positions. LBs a toss up DBs a toss up, slight edge to Central On paper CHS 42 McMinn 17
  6. I am leaning toward 5-5. This will be one of the best central teams we've had (would be 8-2/9-1 with last years schedule) but there is no break on the schedule this year. Its brutal. A lot of experience and playmakers on offense, defense has a few holes to fill. Wins McMinn Kingston Meigs Polk Loudon Losses Rhea CAK Notre Dame Alcoa Scott
  7. Glad to be here, thanks!. Cant wait for the season to begin!
  8. Yeah. He was getting cut and didn't like it lol
  9. It was NOT during pregame. It was in the 2nd quarter. It was in retaliation to an Alcoa OL standing above the central player, pinning him down and shaking his padsbouncing his head against the turf. It would have pissed me off to. Rankin was just mad bc they looked ahead to CAK and almost got beat by a 5-5 school.
  10. Whoever you talked with was very optimistic or left after first two series lol. Central played GB after a full scrimmage with Tellico and without their best playmaker. The Varsity score was 2-2 with one central td called back and ball turned over on downs after a 3rd down play stopped at the 1 (scrimmage rules i guess). Greenback dominated first cpl of series and went up 2-0.. When GB got tired, Central dominated, scoring 2 legit tds and (2 arguable tds). Greenback is also a VERY VERY good football team. I was excited for the tie for that very reason. Central played tired and hung with a potential state champion. Will be rooting for them this season. Should win it all! JV score GB 1 CHS 0
  11. Pump the brakes. They got a tough schedule and aren't used to competing with CAK and Alcoas of the world. They play Rhea County and Notre Dame as well.
  12. Offense: 2 OL 1 WR Defense: 1 LB 1 DE 2 DB Return an All State OT and all skill positions on O Lost an all state de and lb on D
  13. They aren't top ten yet. Still wrapping up the 2015 recruiting class. They'll be top ten when pre-season polls come out.
  14. Schools choose when they want to start. There is no set date in which they must start. Central usually is end of May.
  15. MLK destroyed Elizabethons zone defense the night before. Central lost to the superior team. The coach and girls overachieved expectations this year. Proud of both.
  16. Jacobi can play but she's getting a lot of help. Coleman and Truelove balled out yesterday. These seniors are determined to win that gold ball. Myers, Trentham, Tillman bring a lot of toughness to this team. Really proud of them. Seems they're getting hot at the right time. If Wright gets going then look out! Go blue!
  17. She was NOT recruited by central. She made the decision to go to Central for exposure to major college programs in the state. How many times has Tellico gone to state? I'll wait................lol I'm happy for their success but theyre on two different levels. She would go to college playing for any team but it wouldn't be anything better than d2 from tellico. Just being honest. She WAS recruited hard by Tellico though. Need to be careful about pointing fingers and accusations about recruiting. Truth is, Tellico tried everything to get her and failed. Why? She's getting exposure at state while tellico is watching at home. Btw, I know one central coach was at a lot of rural vale games bc he had family there, lives there and would wear central gear to the games. Bring the whole truth before you decide to post your bs on here. Aren't you a Sequoyah fan anyway? Go chiefs? Where are they this week? Oh yeah.
  18. Arguably the toughest region in the state! Chargers will be good as well. A lot of returning starters. One all state LT and another potential all state RT. Two good taibacks and quarterback. Will be interesting to see if they'll compete with the greatness of CAK and Alcoa. Inexperience in big time football week to week may hurt but it will be fun. I'm excited. Go blue. Btw....have yall seen centrals schedule?! Has to rank high in sos @ McMinn County vs Rhea County vs Kingston @ Polk County @ Loudon @ Meigs County @ Alcoa vs CAK @ Notre Dame vs Scott County
  19. Well. I wish you luck. Are you all still 4a next season?
  20. Good luck to you all. Hope you get a good coach. A lot of potential to be really good year in and year out
