  1. Gibbs has not put forth nowhere near their best lineup all year and they probably won't until it matters. They lost a razor close one to Tullahoma at sub state last year which they should have won and this Gibbs team has improved from last season especially at 114. From 107 through 138 they're tough to beat depending on match ups and none of those teams are beating them at 185. So that's 7 weight classes out of 12 they could potentially score pins in a dual not to mention Pittman is a heckuva coach.
  2. Aren't you the Rasslinking? If so, you should already know who my 6 would be. The headthrow comment isn't directed at any one team specific, it's across the board. I'd definitely like to see more girls get away from that and actually learn how to wrestle.
  3. Opinions vary, but I count 6 girls on the Gibbs girls team who could notch wins in a potential dual. If we take headthrows out of the equation, it could be more.
  4. I know, any of those 4 will win it this year and my pick based on what I've seen this season is Gibbs.
  5. I see you left off Gibbs, you may want check on that....
  6. Not at all. There's not a body that has a recognized dual/tournament rankings for girls team at all, so saying "we're #1" is assuming a lot. Rossview was dual champs last year, yes. They didn't win the traditional though and I'd say they're about 3-4 teams who could make the claim "we're #1" if they felt like it.
  7. True, but I'm not sure anyone can honestly lay claim to being #1 right now IMO.
  8. Rossview isn't nowhere near where they'll be when their lineup settles out.
  9. Why do you still have Trinity Lynn at HWT when she's clearly 185 now?
  10. As Coach Freeman said earlier, he hasn't had time this year as he did before. As far as the current rankings for the site, it's already been settled by Hamm that I'm taking over but you're more than welcome to help out or continue to do your own.
  11. Freeman and I worked together on the weekly Pin-TN girls rankings last season with him having the final word on who was ranked where. This season, with his schedule being what it is I'll be responsible for doing them with input from around the state. You're more than welcome to help, but I have direct contact with Hamm who runs the site and will work through him to get them posted as soon as they're done.
  12. Send them to me, I'll get them up. jason.hughes@maryville-schools.org
  13. Trinity Lynn from Gibbs is at 185 as of last weekend, placed 1st at the Falcon Frenzy (rough tournament) in NC.
  14. Wolfe, Redford, & McDonald. Wolfe beat McDonald 3-2 last week in a close one. You're right about Coffey, that guy's lats were so wide I couldn't see around him!
  15. You're not wrong, you've seen the best 3 we have this year IMO all from our side of the state.
  16. There are 2 heavies this year I know can take good shots and can defend them. They're a little undersized at HWT and were lighter weight kids who grew into the HWT class this season.
  17. Look, not to start an argument here which is what it looks like you're pushing for, but I got my info direct from the tournament director so there's that. Congratulations to Halls if that's the case.
  18. Overall it was a good tournament. The Stone Memorial coach said they're moving the event to their main gym next season the Friday night before their boys dual tournament on Saturday. We were in the auxiliary gym next to their main gym and it was definitely crowded with 100+ girls competing. Great coaches lounge too!
  19. You should trademark that slogan before somebody else does!
  20. Okay, I'm going off what I was told by the director. Appreciate it.
  21. I'm not sure you can count both at 120 for Halls.
  22. Only one wrestler scores per weight class is my guess.
  23. Check the Indian Classic, Blevins won there at 152.
