  1. But.... You had Rippy ranked higher than a 2x champ? Don't know if I trust your judgment.
  2. Trickster needs to go to AA from what it sounded like during the Playoffs. :lol I agree, but I was referring to Deion24, biggest delusional moron I've ever known.
  3. At least he doesn't lie about his exploits or give himself nicknames...
  4. Of course, but maybe you should have clarified that from the get-go, patna!!... Looks like you came from the Al Sharpton school of spinning things in your favor.
  5. You sure about that? Think your math is a bit off... More like 4-2 against the M. Looks like Common Core math hit Shelby County a few years early...
  6. Casey Brewster for sure won a state title against Kozier from Karns. My votes would go to a few guys I know well in Rabbit Turner (Red Bank/Soddy Daisy), Casey Cothron (Red Bank/Bradley), Quantel Langford (Cleveland), Chris Bird (East Ridge), Daniel Otero (Clarksville NE), Quinton "Rampage" Jackson (Raleigh-Egypt), Josh Baker (Maryville), & maybe the Larimer kid from Overton.
  7. Come on, it's definitely not "too" far... You think they have a problem taking it there?
  8. Quit trying to be funny, nobody wants to see you either...
  9. For a guy that "states facts", you should know GQ never won a title in 5A moron.
  10. You're right! I had a girlfriend from there once myself & although she was super hot, she was just as delusional as this clown. As a matter of fact, I bet that's probably the same Ooltewah pucker PassiveAggressive makes when he thinks about Mark Dodson's "member" because he's all over it... As much as he brings him up, you would think he joined NAMDLA (NAtional Mark Dodson Love Association).
  11. They lost to a 2A school & the game was at McCallie so losing to a small school at your home field with arguably one of the better high school QB's to come from this state speaks volumes. I watched that game, did you? Even when Baylor & McCallie were playing everyone else before the split they weren't world beaters like everyone in Chattanooga thinks they were. I dealt with this same delusional thinking for 4 years when I went to UTC, I thought after a few years of reality setting in things would have changed...
  12. Are you trying to tell me that McCallie & Baylor would win the public school division yearly??? You must be outta your darn mind. Ask McCallie what happened when they played Alcoa. BJ Coleman could tell you...
  13. Their facts come from Chattanowhere, just like the place their football teams go in the playoffs...
  14. PassiveAggressive, you obviously don't know $#!+ about football. Alcoa would whip every Chattanooga school regardless of class. I'd go out on a limb & bet Webb would have last year too. Not to mention Knoxville West, but any team in the KIL is better than the sorry #### teams you guys put on the field. That leaves you to nut hug the 1-2 teams that beat Maryville in a decade, but whatever helps you get it up... That being the case, the last championship team from Chattanooga (Red Bank w/ Riggs) got smacked when they DROPPED TO 4A & proceeded to get raped by Maryville. heck, the best coach you guys ever had was a Maryville reject (Bennie Monroe). You guys down there should stick to wrestling which I'll admit Chattanooga is king even though Ooltewah is the red headed step child when it comes to that arena too. I will say this, any Maryville fan that chooses to have a battle of football wits with you regarding football should be locked up. It's not fair when someone like yourself comes to the fight unarmed & unintelligent.
  15. Chad said they were looking at Evans too, but he's still a ways off before they can officially "recruit" him per NCAA rules. Before it's said & done I think Evans will be a heavyweight on the next level.
  16. Chad Solomon has verbally committed to Coach Eslinger @ Chattanooga. Really-really happy about this one... I know he's gonna represent the blue & gold with the same success he's had in the red & black!
  17. Country? Have you looked at Ooltewah? Better yet, how about every team in Chattanooga is a cupcake compared to the teams Maryville plays...
  18. No way in heck. Not that they're competing against each other anyway, but I'd bet my house & anything else you'd wanna put up Sommers. I'll go out on a limb & say he'll be a 3x champ when he's done...
  19. I would bet my house on Solomon, anybody picking against him in this field needs to be on meds. Although I think Chad should be competing at 170, there's not a kid in TN that can touch him at 182 either.
  20. In the larger school division I believe Maryville, Heritage (TN), Heritage (GA), Grace Christian Academy, East Hamilton, Clinton, & I forgot the other schools. The smaller school group had Alcoa, Tyner, Greenback, & again I forgot the other schools. I would think the Maryville-Heritage (TN) match would be the best one of the afternoon.
  21. Coach Jones, this conversation was with a Knoxville area coach (Maryville) who was my high school coach from '93-96 as well as the football coach (Tim Hammontree) who is now at Heritage. Don't get me wrong, I have all the respect in the world for Hammontree as a football coach, but this is something I definitively didn't see eye to eye with him the. & still don't now especially with Heritage fielding some good teams here recently. He'll probably tell you face to face that he doesn't have a problem with wrestling, but then he'll give examples of how "you'll never get any bigger, faster, or stronger" as long as you're in the sport. He would always gave me hard time about it & playing any other sports (also lettered in soccer) besides football since "football is year round at Maryville", but having to miss Freestyle Nationals my Junior year because of spring practice was a tough pill to swallow back then & wasn't necessary. I don't think Quarles is the same way, but I ca definitely see it prevelent at other Kvoxville schools. Really, one should point to Cleveland as a school who has won championships in both sports & has kids participating in both all the time. In terms of strength programs at other TN schools I think you guys are right. Luckily for me since Maryville has pretty much a college level strength program, I had a huge advantage over most guys I wrestled in high school which in turn gave me a jump start when I wrestled at UTC. I was stronger & more explosive than all of my UTC Freshman teammates from 118-125-134 coming in as well as some of the upper classmen (except for Cedric Hubbard). Coach Leen made note of it a few times, so I do have to give credit to Hammontree for that. It still goes without saying though that wrestlers at any position have an advantage over non wrestlers as long as they still have good speed. I started CB my Senior year at 5'7 135 pounds during the season, but I was almost never blocked by WR's on run plays & a good blast double was my answer for being an undersized tackler.
  22. I heard Hammontree is trying to chase down some of those good Heritage wrestlers & get them to quit to concentrate on football. He's done it before at Maryville, hope Hertaige doesn't let it happen to their up & coming wrestling team.
  23. Don't know if the wife will like it that I have a girlfriend named Delilah, but luckily this Samson is still strong enough to fight her off even if I was Mr Blount County runner up close to 20 years ago... lol
  24. Went to a Christmas practice session today & had a conversation with the wrestling team's coach about a local high school football coach at a rival school discouraging his players from wrestling. The thing is, the wrestling program at this rival school is up & coming & a lot stronger than the football program. That being the case, this football coach at this school has had a history of trying to discourage players at every school he's been to (did the same with me when he was my football coach). The bad thing is that he's a very successful coach which has led him to be successful pulling kids out of wrestling altogether, but I hope for the school's wrestling team he's not a successful this time around. I know this kind of stuff doesn't happen a lot at the Chattanooga schools, but do any of you guys notice this happening at your respective schools? What boggles my mind though is that as successful a football coach this guy is, why doesn't he recognize that on every level (high school, college, & NFL) other coaches feel wrestlers often make the best football players on the team...
