If this matchup happens, I agree if the tall girl gets going and Macon does not defend her on the inside this could be an issue that will cost them some points. She did look like she got tired quickly and if Macon gets their running game going she will probably get into foul trouble. Also South Greene pressed them a little and they did not respond well, so if that works it will not be an issue. However Macon has Cheatham Co. and Westview has Marshall Co. to worry about first. I cannot tell you about Westview, but Macon is focused on Cheatham Co. right now, not Westview or Marshall.

If you are talking about the tall girl from Westview, I think she is the reason South Greene stayed in the game they ate her up almost everytime it came in to her in the second half. Now she was a good free throw shooter and could him open shot and rebound, she just needs to learn to put the ball up when she get it.

Okay, it seems you did take it personal, as I said I do not know the situation, but it seemed like everyone was blaming the coach for sitting the girl. I was just simply saying that that Meigs DID NOT give up and played Macon even in the last quarter and there might be some other reason for the sitting than just the coach giving up. Your comments says to me that the girl was coming off of an ACL, so that would explain why he might sit her in a game that was getting out of hand. No reason to take a chance on a weak ACL and maybe ruin her for next year. Again, I was neither calling Meigs or the girl or the coach a quitter, just trying to give some other reasons to the people who could not figure out why there coach had done this.

It sounds like we have some people on here that know about Covington. So let me ask you this, are they as tall and big as they looked on the Brighton tape?

Not sure what was happening on the bench, but according to one of the post -Macon left their people in late and yet the box score indicates that Meigs tied Macon in the last quarter so maybe the coach was putting in the people who want to play. Maybe it is the player that quits when she is behind and the coach trying to send a message when she does. Please do not take this the wrong way, just had an opinion based on the information available.

Dekalb's record is deceiving as their losses have all come to very good teams and they have knocked off some very good teams, do not know much about the teams McMinn Central is playing so I really am unsure how to judge. If they keep their nerves, I think they will do well.

I feel Dekalb is playing pretty well right now and has just as good of a chance to beat Macon than Upperman would have. Every tean they lost to this year were very good teams so their record is deceiving. If Macon people were routing against Upperman it may have been because of the way that they have acted this year after the way the game was won last year.

IMO this was nothing like last years antics, she went pretty far out and was hollering, the ref leaned in and did not respond, then she started yelling to the other ref and then went out when halftime buzzer went off to talk to all three. Nothing more than any other coach would do in that situation, but I understand the aggravation after watching Macon's boy coach get a technical called on him last week after a free throw attempt was made for something that he supposedly said after the initial foul which may or may not have cost them a chance to play in region, and yet this was allowed.

Have not heard, but I hope Tech will be open on Wednesday.

Just saw on Facebook that Tech was not available and we will have to play at Cumberland County High School. MACON COUNTY Girls will resume Region play on Monday evening at 6:00 PM at Cumberland County High School. Tech was Not available and after an all night discussion, this was the only option.

Gregory warmed up last night and was able to play if we needed her, but we did not. One of her team mates said in post game interview that she was going to practice on Sunday and would be ready Monday.

Good game PC, looks like CPA needs to go recruit a few more key players. Sorry, I mean offer scholarships to a few deserving students.

I think Macon has the better team this year, hope they win, but could lose- seemed to have trouble in Smith County when they played on a wet field. Most importantly, every God fearing fan there tonight should go down and pray with the boys after the game, win or lose. Getting tired of losing all of my rights just so we do not offend a minority of the people. If we win or lose the game, we will forget over time. It is great to go and rout for our teams, but we need to also remember why we are on this earth in the first place.
