I'm a Bobcat fan, my son coached there. I'm not selling them short. They have a very, very good running back with tons of heart, that's it. How do you call going 5-0 against teams with combined records of 10-35 turning things around. The scores you saw last year between West and Central will happen again this year.

Friday night could also be wild in region 2-6A. If I have it figured right, Maryville must beat Bradley Central on the road to finish 1st in the region. How hurt is Vaughn? Bradley beat Cleveland, which gave Maryville their loss. Bearden and Farragut could be for 1st place. If I'm wrong, someone correct me!

blazer, Sevier Co. will finish 2nd with a win over Cocke Co. and a loss by Central to West. (both probable) Halls at Heritage for 4th place.

You nailed it! Maryville has lived for years on the fact that they were able to play 2nds and 3rds most games in the second halves. Can't beat playing time!

Not looking like it will be. That's a shame! Possibly one of the top 2-3 games in the area this year and no one broadcasts it. And I'm sure there would be no issue with it cutting down on the gate.

Every year this region is bad. Central won back to back championships and the region was bad. West will most likely win the state this year and the region is bad. Goes to my point, strengthen of schedule means nothing. You have the horses or you don't!

I can't see a lopsided score either way. I think its close. But I see the edge going to West. Even as good as Vaughn is, West seems to have the more balanced offense and I'd give them the edge defensively as well. They have the best defense I've seen this year.

I will say this, these two teams usually play each other close and tough.

I won't argue with you there! Other than West, the region is struggling this year and may struggle in the first round of the playoffs. (As compared to past years) I see Daniel Boone and Tennessee High getting through the first round, and possibly Mo West.

Agreed, but had they not changed the offense to the wildcat, they wouldn't have won some of those games. My point is the change made them better. And their playing a 1-7 team tomorrow night in Halls. Halls will have to beat Heritage at Heritage next Friday night to make the playoffs.
