In region 1 Dobyns Bennett upset Sevier County and Science Hill advanced. Region 2 Hardin Valley beat Powell 11-1 in 5 innings and Farragut beat Karns 10-3

If I am not mistaken Thompson for HVA is the #1 rated pitcher in the state next year.

As a former player for HVA Coach Renegar is the best coach a player could ask for. He made us believe that we were still a good team after a 4-29 inaugural season and he continued to push us toward the 2011 District Championship. I will never forget those 3 years in the HVA uniform and wish him the best of luck in the future he will be sorely missed at HVA. Thanks Coach for all you have done.

Personally I would love to sit here and think that Halls has a great chance to beat Farragut. In reality I don't think that Halls stands a chance even with Painter on the mound. I expect a run rule in 5 innings. In the HVA Bearden game I think this could be a good game. The way HVA is playing right now will define how they approach Bearden. I expect this one to be a close game.

What do we think of the match ups between Halls @ Farragut and Bearden @ HVA.

In 3-AAA Hardin Valley Academy and Halls advance to regionals. HVA is the district champion and Halls is the runner-up. Hardin Valley will host Bearden and Halls will travel to Farragut.

I agree with the statement on Weiler. He is a great pitcher but it is my belief that Painter will win the award.

Yes Sears will most likely be the leading candidate to take over at 1st base for Chase Kirk who is graduating.

HVA this year has been playing Freshman at 3rd, SS, 2nd, and sometimes pitching with Neely and Hunt. Sophomores at Catcher and CF. The rest are seniors at RF LF and 1st. It will be a good team next year. I don't know much about the rest of the district. I imagine Karns will improve. Powell will decline a little. OR will be better.

3-AAA has been plagued by rainouts yesterday. They are supposedly resuming play tonight. Winners Bracket-Hardin Valley vs. Oak Ridge at 7:30 tonight. Losers Bracket-Halls vs. Clinton at 5:00 tonight. Update from tonight! Halls eliminates Clinton. HVA defeats Oak Ridge. Halls will play Oak Ridge in a elimination game tomorrow. HVA advances to championship and qualifies for regional play.

Are the games tonight cancelled?

Probably not. Not many teams are like farragut.

I agree Neely will have plenty of chances in the next 3 years. Weiler only has 1 more year left after this one.

For HVA: Tommy Weiler is 6-1, with a win over Halls as a quality win. Freshman Will Neely is 5-1 with two wins over Powell and he might have a win over Halls I am not sure. This is according to Knox News Sentinel.
