First of all "recruiting" per say is legal. So, I would not doubt that they have admitted it. The supreme court ruled that promoting your program is free speech. "Undo influence" is not legal. No one was able to present any credible evidence to any of the courts that this ever happened. Therefore BA emerged victorious.

I assure you that it is exagerated bragging. People used to brag about cars being offered and all sorts of booty, but it always turned out to be inaccurate. I think Eagle09 is trying to pick a fight.

I think it counts if Franklin sticks with it as Ryan rebuilds and/or they play some other certain private schools as they did in years past. You can't play everyone, so it is good and can get better.

You "don't believe that BA is" (the best team in the county). That means that you have plenty of opinion not "logic". I do not know if BA is the best team in the county. I think they are better than Ravenwood this year and I think they were better than BHS in 2001 and 2002. I am an old fashion scoreboard kind of guy. That means I am willing to concede that we were inferior to Fairview in 1970.

There are 10-15 "nights" in the Fall. For a high school football team, this is called "a season". Being better than the other teams on those particular nights is very important. Most logical people use these results to determine who is the better team. Let me get this straight. BA has beaten BHS a couple of times and Ravenwood, but only on days that ended in a "y" and months that contained "r's" - so none of those really counted? I think I am following your line of thought.

Well, I hope the players you held out were big time division 1 prospects and a lot of them or MBA wins by three TD's.

You are right no shying here. Franklin really stepped up to the plate big time. Franklin in a cake walk. I hope Franklin sticks with Ryan as they rebuild over the years.

Guys, ignore Eagle09. I don't believe that he is associated with BA (I hope not, anyway). No freshmen has touched the field except the final three plays of the first game of the season. Now, an 8th grader starts - but no freshmen has entered the game other than two freshman during the last three plays of the first game. This includes special teams.

BA was "clearly" better than anyone in the state but MBA in 2002. I can't figure out how people can't accept it when they get beat. "We gave it away", "The sun got in my eyes". We are talking about your opinion against my opinion, but I have the scoreboard backing up my opinion. I will say that Williamson County has got to be the strongest football county in the state (my opinon with no "scoreboard backing").

It was sloppy, but this BA team really lays some nasty licks. Tyree Ford injured and went to the hospital with an injured rib.

I think that I have clearly been a BA fan on this board and I have shown some MBA support because they have guts, but I have never said anything about Baylor. I guess I should be flattered that I am on your mind.

Two tough games to start the season has MBA ready for this one.

I know you said "no top 5a schools". That is what I SAID you said. Then you started quibbling about who was a "top 5a school". I pointed out why Ravenwood would be considered "top" and I pointed out Brentwood High School was "top" - regardless of future scheduling. They have scheduled us in the past. I agree the existing coach will not schedule us - nor will Riverdale, unless we develope a steady pattern of losing. The schedule strength rating changes every week. Prior to Friday it was as I posted. However, my point remains. We have one of the toughest schedules in the state without filling it with what you call "top 5a schools". So, we are not being punished anymore than Riverdale or any Tennessee high school sports fan is. I agree. I don't think my whining will make any coaches "grow a set", but message boards are all about opinion.

The fumbles continued and killed Ravenwood. The Raptors really moved the ball well on the ground in the second half. Ravenwood came out with much more fire than BA in the second half, but could not hold on to the ball.

Well we have gone from "no top 5a schools" to arguing about who is "top" in your opinion and if someone will schedule again. I think a lot of people have Ravenwood picked number 1 in their region and I think they did pretty well last year. Regardless, of Brentwood High scheduling again, they did in recent years (Riverdale never has). I don't think we have to argue about if they were a top team in 2002 - do we? So, you stand corrected on that issue. Let's move on. It is just a shame for high school football in Tennessee- not for BA or MBA. Coach T has our schedule strength rated as #1 and Riverdale's rated at #25, so I guess we could agree that "top 5a" schools are not what it takes to build a top schedule. It just generates a lot of excitement and interest.
