Looking forward to the LA vs IMG and Oakland vs Cedar Grove games. I've heard that Oakland unfortunately won't be at full strength for the Cedar Grove game but hopefully they have enough depth to still pull out a W.

The Oakland-Lipscomb Academy game from a couple years ago may have been the best high school game I’ve seen in person. I didn’t have a dog in the fight, just went to see a good football game. I knew going in they were possibly the 2 best teams in the state but the game even exceeded any expectations that I had going in.

I personally don't see that happening, but that's why I'm surprised it hasn't created more discussion at this point because he's closer to the program than some others are and I'm sure has reasons for thinking that's possible.

Kind of surprised this post hasn't gotten more attention. Pretty eye-opening coming from a Maryville fan who's always honest and level-headed in his assessments

That's usually the case with Creasy-coached teams. He likes to spread the ball around between multiple guys, also a good point about the starters being pulled early in a lot of games. I don't think there have been very many skill players under Creasy to actually win Mr. Football, even going back to his Trousdale Co days. I know JaCoby Stevens did

I think it would also be a shame if the Oakland-Maryville semifinal streak comes to an end this year, though I'm sure plenty would disagree with that. It's going to happen eventually and Bradley might just have the team to do it, but I wouldn't ever count Maryville out. Not saying that you are, just saying in general because I do think some folks are writing Maryville off way too soon.

Yeah, maybe that list is just showing where they should be by enrollment numbers? I’m not sure. I was just going by the region alignments. They’re in Region 8 of Class 1A https://portal.tssaa.org/common/classification/?schoolYear=2023&sportid=1&type=high

They were going to be but appealed to move back down to 1A and it was approved.

This was mentioned on the Boys Basketball boards as well but while I do think it's needed, I think it's going to be pretty difficult to implement.

It definitely won't be easy to implement. Probably a big reason for the initial discussion regarding feasibility. I do think it's needed, but as you said, it's going to take a lot of work to make it happen

Totally agree. You can and will still support him while also having the opinion that he wasn’t the right hire. They’re not mutually exclusive.

I thought 15.67 seemed a little low for Hartsfield considering Blackman played them kind of close a couple times under him but one time they lost by 40. Makes more sense now. I was going to research myself when I had a chance!

If it was that easy to stop, more teams would be doing it. But from a philosophical standpoint I understand what you’re saying. Oakland runs a lot more than the Wing T though
