  1. Your payoff is waiting for you in the concession stand. Delicious!
  2. Dang it @Southtowner I promise I didn't take all of them last time. Tell you what, I will buy mine before the game and will pay for one for you. I'll ask for them to keep it warm and delicious for when you claim it. Don't wait until after halftime or they will all be gone if you want more than one. Just tell them "I want the Angie Prince Smoked Bologna Special" at the concession stand inside the gym. I don't know how you'll prove you are THE Southtowner since you'll probably be flying under the radar, but maybe show them your Pirate tattoo or Official Coach T membership pin and they'll hand it over. BYOC. Bring your own cheese. You think Im joking but Im not.
  3. He's welcome to move here for sure. Would be a great weapon on any team.
  4. I will make the Powers that Be aware of that request! Reading some of the different threads, seems like there will be a lot of outside interests attending this one. Glad you're coming back to the Hill for good football and food. We hope to have a full house, although not sure how well RB fans will travel to what they think will be a repeat of last year against our poor, ole little 1 A team. I didn't think it was possible, but the SmoBolo seems to be getting better, like our offense. But, it's also thick, filling, and satisfying--like watching our defensive line and linebackers. I had one before our game Friday night, and if it wasn't for the three hot dogs I also got, would have returned all the way for another. Like KJ's 55 yard punt return for the score. Eating that Bologna sandwich was more entertaining than watching the Cornersville special team's center snap the ball over the punter's head. Multiple times. Cornersville special teams. Whew. That's an area they can work on for the future. Think I will bring my own slice of cheese for the next one(s) I get though. Just to jazz it up a little. And hot sauce. Hot like our defense getting a pick-six in two of our three last games. Don't wait until halftime so you can enjoy. They also added Fried Oreos to the repertoire that were better than what you get at the county fair, and set up a speed-booth outside for burgers or dogs only. How appropriate!
  5. sorry, not next Friday due to Fall break, but week after next. Gives the Tigers time to heal some banged up players and get back to full strength. Looks like it will be the game of the week like 'Kenzie and Dresden. Here's hoping the boys use the downtime to film study and get mentally prepared. The Cornersville win was fine, but lots of sloppy mental errors/penalties. To beat a class team, we have to keep our heads for the full four quarters.
  6. Whole lot of season still left to go.
  7. So, C'wood has the heart, but not the points. At the end of the first half, Tigers 52 C'wood 7.
  8. Lol, after last Friday, I'm not saying ANYTHING about a running clock. Take care of business Tigers!
  9. Fayetteville travels West to Collinwood's home turf. Besides the expected, what does C'wood bring to the table to stop the Tiger defense and offense?
  10. MC quarterback is as good as advertised. He's the reason MC is in the game, imo. Hard hitting game--Tigers laying the wood amd MC keeps getting up. Last one standing wins this one. Btw, the smoked bologna is superb.
  11. A battle ending at 0-0. A virtual scratch-fest.
  12. We live in a kinder, gentler society now.
  13. We had a lot of talented individuals when we started playing varsity ball, but it has taken us this long to develop the middle and high programs through weight training and coaching. Both FMS and FHS coaches work very closely together and most all of the middle school players have decided to stay in-system after the 8th grade. There are still some kids that go across town because big sister went there, but now typically it's "I'm staying because this is where all family went".
  14. With three schools to choose from, our enrollment numbers are around 340-350 I think. Doesn't matter the population of Fayetteville itself.
  15. Thank you St. Do you want me to check on availabililty of Smoked Bologna for you? Lol.
  16. There are some technical issues I don't care for: the camera tracking (motion detector?) on plays/players/ball sometimes lags. If you want to listen to the radio broadcast, try www.985theelk.com Our new radio crew is doing really well.
  17. Always fun on Tiger Hill, and after this the Red Bank game.
  18. Fayetteville streams home games through NFHS Network. We have also streamed away games with permission from the host school. NFHS is a subscription service, monthly or yearly. For example, our game last week against Upperman, they had their stream and we had ours. You could watch both versions (but UHS' was not good at all).
  19. Don't apologize. The topic was brought up just to stir the pot. I had a full page response and deleted it. Not worthy of the time. Let the teams do their thing.
  20. May I offer some advice? ANYONE who posts, and has less than, say 30 or 40 posts to their credit, should be taken with a grain of salt. Both teams will play hard, one team will win. Happens every year.
  21. You should reach out to each of the high school's Athletic Directors on the who/what/where/why involved for your kid's sports if they want to keep playing. Physically moving into the area/having a change of residence wipes out some of the restrictions, but where you move to and then which school(s) they want to attend with whichever sport they want to play is the thing. BTW, don't give specifics like, "my daughter is a five star recruit as a sophomore" because they'll start to spasm and foam at the mouth. Lol.
