This game could go either way....it all depends on who's shots are falling. Both teams can drop 3's at any moment. It will come down to endurance. Hey Ragland....don't get in to big a hurry to start chanting. If you recall the last time they met it come down to the last few minutes....anything could happen! I'm ready for this game!

I think Swipper is hating on LA but he did make one point.....we should have bet Harpeth by more than 9. I don't think LA chokes at the end....I think they do let up & don't push themselves. Look back at some district play, Macon, York & Dekalb. They were all wins but LA let the games get to close. The scores all show that we won by 17,16 & 7 but the games were much closer....it come down to those last minute fouls. LA by far has the best team in our district but I can admit that they need to step it up in '08 & don't let up. They have one of the best teams I have seen at LA....they have all the talent in the world ....they just need to leave everything they got on the court.

This area has some top-notch female athletes. I enjoy basketball of any kind but I really like girl??™s basketball. The girls seem like they put everything they have into a game. I have seen girls fight tooth & nail for a ball....not that guys don't but you see more show boating in boys. 7A & 7AA.... competition is tough. I agree with coyotemom, alot is that players that were good back in the day...their kids are coming up now. At LA....we have the whole Melton family that were basketball standouts & now their kids play. Billy & Tonya Sells both were good ballers, they have freshman standout.... McKenzie. I know each school has their own second generation ball players...truth be know it is probably 3rd & 4th generation ball players. This area is full of talent & will be for years to come.

I hope the Parents & Fans ....on both sides conduct themselves appropriately during this game. Everyone needs to remember that it not about the parents & fans......it's about these kids playing ball. The players are under enough pressure as it is. When the girls see their role models acting total REARS how do you expect them to react? I know some of you can't stand each other but come on you are the adults! RBS has a lot of animosity towards JC for obvious reasons but come on you can't blame the Leonard's for doing what is best for their kid. At some point you have to let it go. My cousin played at Jackson County....so I have watched my fair share of games in JC. I will have to say they have a very devoted fan base a lot of good people BUT they do have a hand full of the fans that complain about everything. Even the players use to talk about how embarrassing some of the fans are. I hope the Parents & Fans on both sides remember that even though we all get into the game a little to much (me included) that our time has passed....it is time to let these kids play. If these girls don't like each other....fine....you can't make them get along but you can let them make up their own mind about what they think of someone. They shouldn't be pressured into hating (I know it's a strong word) someone because that's all they hear from their Family, Friends & Fans. Good luck to both teams. My Prediction is the Devils by 24. RBS has a good team but JC runs the floor & they are in great condition.

I will have to agree....it wasn't a pretty game but we got it done. Chase Dunn is always a big factor. He always puts up impressive numbers....he can draw a foul like no other. But, I want to say.....TJ Smith is a baller! I was so impressed with him.... he has a nice shot & the kid can jump! TJ Smith is really going to be a force for LA. I know where TJ gets it...his mom & dad were both great players. TJ's Dad is from York & his Mom is from LA....I'm glad TJ ended up in Livingston!

LA by 14. Hogeye is ready for a home game....SO am I!!!

I have watched both teams this year & i would have to say JC has a slight upper hand. Both teams have good coaching,hustle like crazy & have good outside shooting. I would pick JC to win by 8.

LA by 16. Keep in mind....It is always tuough to play at Pickett

LA by 10. Will be a good game......You can't ever turn your back on Jacob Wright or he will make you pay for it.

I wasn't at the game so I'm not going to argue whether or not they missed calls or if the "T’s" were deserved. As far as Refs being Bias......Believe me if you guys knew McCoin (Ref) personally this would not be a question. This man knows the game backwards & forwards. He doesn't care who you are or where your from....he calls it like he sees it. I have seen my share of Ref's come & go....I have seen plenty of ref's that were really bad But doesn't it always look so clear from the stands! When your on the floor you don't have the advantage point all the time....you have to call them like you see them. There are always fans for both sides that blame the refs for bad calls....It happens every game....everywhere!! It's part of the game whether you like it or not.

I see Kendall Melton and TJ both stepping up this year. TJ is a good shooter but this kid can jump too.....I think he is the sleeper that everyone won't see coming. Justin Poston has more heart than any kid I have seen play.....unfortunatley he hasn't grown much. I can't wait to see what happens.

Did he quit? I heard that too. I know Melton knows what he is doing but who do you think will be the starting 5? Who is 6th man?

I can't believe Hammock left LA. From reading post...I can't figure out why? I always liked her family....her uncle is my age. Good player....wish she had stayed.

It will be a tough year between LA & Upperman. I think they will split the season games.....both win at home but LA will take the District & Post season match ups. 1.LA I know we lost quite a few seniors but the LA bench was deep. Kilgore & Taylor are tough. These two have played together for a while......throw McKenzie Sells(Freshman Phenomenon!) in there & they should keep things rolling. Alyssa Sells isn't bad either. LA really needs some size inside.....that hurts us . 2.Upperman They have three strong players coming back.... Maynard, Dyer & Davis all three are really good. 3. York They had a pretty good team last year. I think they only lost one or two. I didn't know they had a new coach. I'm not sure how that's going to play out. 4.Smith Co. I think if they keep feeding it inside to Ferris......should do alright. Until they get Ferris some help I don't think they will do better than 4th.

We lost Stover last year. Smith & Mclerran are the only seniors LA has this year. I would definitely say ....LA will have the team to beat. Of course .....Dunn will work his magic. Ramsey is looking better every year.....this year he should be rocking the boards! Since we lost Tyson.... I think Smith & Melton will help with the 3-point shot. If I were to be a betting man.....which I am from time to time....I would say TJ Smith is the sleeper for LA. I have a feeling this kid will show what he's got this year.

Dyer County & Bolivar will definitely be in the top 4. I know there are alot of good teams in AA but don't count out Livingston Academy.

Chase Dunn from LA is a phenomenal player. I remember watching him in grade school & knowing he would go far in Basketball. This kid has a bright future, the only thing I worry about is if he lets all the hype get to him. Melton remembers how it is, at one time he was the best to come through that school. He knows how important it is to keep Dunn focused.

Upperman has an unbelievable team.....they make things happen. I hate when LA plays Upperman because it is always an intense game but I couldn't imagine a better match up in the finals. It is funny....we have a love/hate relationship between the Bees & Hogeye. It is a rivalry when we play regular district ball but when it goes to State......we all pull for each other. Upper Cumberland has been represented well this year......Both teams need to pull a V out today!! Good Luck Bees....I hope we have a date Saturday!!!!

Rogers is an excellent coach.....He is good guy on & off the court. Great year Lamar & Lady Buffalos!

I agree.....it wasn't an A performance. I think it took LA a while to warm up to the court......at the end they looked more comfortable. I think it will be a close one but If LA keeps rebounding & their free throw percentage where its at..... I think LA by 4.

I wasn't at the game last night so.....correct me if I'm wrong. My buddy called me from the game last night & he said Jacob did his normal routine....he shot from every where. He hit like five 3's & only missed two. iecold06 said TC's dunked was weak? Let me ask you iecold06....how many do you have??? A dunk is a dunk! It sounded like a good game. I will definitely be at the Pickett Co. game next week. Anyone know when & what time??

Easy Pumba......Wildcat 1970 was just giving his opinion. That's what we all do on here. When I read his post I didn't take it that he was downing "MC facilities". I went down last year & it was packed. You have to admit outdated or not it couldn't accommodate the crowd. Nobody was insulting your team....you started the personal team slurs. If you don't want this topic to get bad back off the team trash talk because to each their own. LA is real defensive about our team....we won't let anybody talk trash with out retaliating....if you can't handle what LA will throw at you don't start it. Let it go.

Jackson Co and Pickett have alot of history.....I think that's why it came down to the end. I don't know if there are two teams that know each other better than Jackson & Pickett! What you said about not very many can shoot the three better than Friendship.....You may eat those words. I'm not from Pickett but I have seen them play plenty. I hate when LA plays them because Jacob Wright can shoot a three pointer beside you, in front of you, six ft. behind the line, over your head, he can shoot from any where. It will be a good game….. I have said it before & I will say it again.....Chase Dunn is the man!!! This kid has a tremendous talent. I know everyone talking about Chase has put a target on his back. However, for Chase I think that has & will push him to improve his game from all ranges, I think he is pretty darn good now but with any athlete…. there is always room for improvement. The only advise I could give to Chase (not like he needs advise from me) is to keep listening to Richard.....he hasn't lead you a stray yet. Chase has a natural talent that some kids try their whole life to build but I think Melton deserves a little credit to. He saw talent in Chase when he was in grade school & helped find it & improve.
