Again ... West TN has no clue on how to defend a pass. 0 for nothing today in 1A, 3A, 5A.. Good run Adamsville. No chance tomorrow. You lose by 21+.

Being from West TN, Adamsville, you might not know the section: http://www.nfhs.org/football/ regarding forward passes. Read up on it before Saturday. Crazy concept where you don't have to run the football every down. Good win vs Dresden but that only gets you the bronze football this year. Boyd already earned the silver.

Congrats Adamsville on winning the bronze football. FCS handed BB the silver when they left town tonight. FCS will collect the gold next Saturday in Cookeville.

2A championship game is being played this Friday at FCS. West TN teams don't know that a football can be put in the air. This game is meaningless. Winner at FCS takes state. You should email TSSAA & see if they will hand out a Bronze football to the #3 team in the state because the winner of this game shouldn't get the silver football.

Seeding process is stupid. Beech on the road this week is insane. Undefeated as a 5A squad in a 5/6A quad. Top 10 RB in the country as a junior ... on the road. TSSAA might as well give out 25 district state titles & be done with it.

Great video on Watts. Been to a lot of games & its easy to see Long, Remus, & Hollis getting a lot of talk on the offense. Video shows he's also the real deal. Yet another factor to deal with on Friday.

Awesome job ... best team won. G'ville wins state. Only chance is if Huntingdon's QB gets there and has the game of his life but G'ville's D will shut that down.

Don't get me wrong ... hope the best for all for a complete game. G'ville ran the table in the 1/2A district & only got a #2 seed? Only loss was by 1 pt to a 3A squad. They should be hosting all of the games until Cookeville. Crazy system TSSAA has. FCS lost to G'llville & is the home team throughout the 2A playoffs. G'ville is a # 2 seed ... something is wrong there.

These teams should be meeting at the very least ... in the semi's, not now. Its a joke that TSSAA puts G'ville as a #2 seed & SP a #3. TSSAA got it wrong AGAIN. The winner of this takes it all.

From what I've seen, there is no 'pocket' with Long. If you flush him out, he's gone for 20+ yards. Again though the starting D on this squad is the real story. Only 1 TD scored on the starters so far so that will be the key in the game. Not what the score is but if Gordonsville can score in this game when the FCS defensive starters are on the field. My guess is its close. FCS 35 G'vill 10.

sonnymoores power ratings have the mighty Rebels at #5 this week in 2A with a 104 rating. Dresden is at #7 with a 103 rating. Rule of thumb is to add 3 to the home team .... Was in the stands in 2007 @ MTSU to see the mighty Reb's get the silver football. Hope they return to that level again soon but next time get the gold one. Just glad to see them beating down Huntingdon year after year now. My son is playing for a 2A squad in Middle TN now ... if they don't meet in the playoffs I'll always root for the Rebels.

Watched him throw 3 passes on DCA (2 completions) last Friday night over 50 yards in the air ... on the spot. Again, btw, the D was the story of that game not the QB. That's scary good. Going to be fun to watch this year.
