The original enrollment numbers on the TSSAA website has caused some confusion. I found at least 39 discrepancies from what was reported and posted early Friday and what was posted later that day. The discrepancies were all Memphis area schools mainly along with McKenzie. That's the reason I had at least 50 football playing schools with smaller enrollments than Fayetteville City. Now those Memphis area schools enrollments are higher than originally posted by the TSSAA. And therefore not smaller than Fayetteville's enrollment.

Yeah, but I didn't say that was what happened Friday. Yall played a very good game. Had we not fought back it could have gotten ugly. Just glad our boys stepped up and answered the gut check.

Lol. This loss doesn't hurt as much as some. We played an outstanding team. We fought valiantly. And we hadn't played a game in a good while. We needed this type of game and I'm glad Meigs was able to push us. Overall I wish our performance had been better earlier on, but a lot of times it's your competition that causes those results. In the end I know the coaches and players will benefit from this game as I truly believe we will get better because of it. And as a fan that is what I'm focused on. Getting better and striving for the ultimate goal.

Yeah, there was a lot of excitement in the air and that was a very good game to attend and watch. I'm sure Coaches as well as fans can get overwhelmed at times. It's just the nature of the beast. Maybe we will have the opportunity to meet up again in Cookeville. I noticed 1A has the second game on Friday this year while 2A gets the second game on Saturday.

I was hoping someone had the full stat sheet but thanks. Hope Coach Fitz is feeling better. Give him our best. Good luck next week and the remainder of the season.

Apparently some of the original numbers posted on the TSSAA website are not the same as is posted now. Showing Seymour with 961.

@GG22 Looking at the numbers posted on the TSSAA website, Fayetteville may well indeed be classified 1A. If one would take a look at what was originally posted on the TSSAA website, there are discrepancies in the enrollment numbers among Memphis schools.

What I'm seeing is about 50 football playing schools with lesser enrollment numbers than Fayetteville. I will say Fayetteville is on the cuff.

The TSSAA could release the classes as early as next week. I believe it was around mid Oct back in 2016 when they were released last time. Then schools will have a week to notify the state if they wanna move up. Once that takes place districts and regions will be set and posted by the end of Oct. If anyone has an appeal with their placement it will be heard at the Nov 12th BOC meeting and that is when everything will be finalized. That's my best guess using past timeframes of this.

I would like to see it as well. But Fayetteville will be down about 5 key players in this game.
