  1. I was watching our basketball game vs Sale Creek late last night via the NFHS network.  I got to see all but the last 28.7 seconds.

Sale Creek had just knocked down 2 free throws that gave them the lead at 48-47.

SP proceeded to inbounds,   dribbled the ball up to half court,  SP coach was calling a timeout when the stream just ended.  That was it.  The last 28.7 seconds ain't on there.

SP hit a game winning 3 pointer.

Let me ask you a question.   If a school publishes their games on the network,  can they just edit & delete what they don't want others to view?

The only other broadcast team to be in the same class with them would be Pat Summerall and John Madden.

I'll give Keith Jackson credit... he's one of only two commentators to ever have the ability to make me want to kick out the screen on my TV (the other being Gary Danielson). Jackson was often biased and obnoxious... Danielson just plain stupid.

One of my favorite Vol memories... Powell broke through the line and had Bennie Blades to beat to the endzone... Blades grasping for Powell's shirttail and Jackson yelling "goodbye...touchdown!!! Then had to listen to Frank Broyles for two minutes wondering how Powell outran Blades for about 50 yards when Blades "has world class speed" and "set the 400 meter record for the state of Florida". According to both of them, Tennessee was lucky to be on the same field with Miami, and the only question was would Miami beat Tennessee bad enough to jump from #2 in the poll to the #1 ranking and win the national championship. The Vols smoked Miami 35-7, and Miami had to pull off a fake punt to score at all.

No one was better than Summerall & Madden in my opinion.  Head of the class.

  3. A significant decision regarding classification was made by the Board when they voted to select a 4-year cycle for the next classification period (2025-2029). Enrollment methodology for determining the number of classes would be set for four years. At the 2-year mark, enrollments would be taken and schools would be re-distributed into their respective classes based on the methodology that was determined at the beginning of the classification period. District and region alignment is redone based on new enrollments for all schools regardless of the percentage of change for a particular school.

Classic. Won't be another crew like Gifford, Cosell, and Meredith...too much "personality" for today's society.

Never cared much for Keith Jackson while he was there, I always associated him with 'Bama for some reason:mrgreen:.

You'd be hard pressed to find a better trio than Gifford, Cosell & Meredith.

I can't remember Jackson doing the MNF gig that first year,   but I can't imagine college football without him.  Woah, Nellie.

What in Tar Nation is this here mess? Old Pirate weren’t not reading fer this mess. The only thing worth spit is Pirate folkes won’t have to deal with near the investation around the Speedway with only 1 of them 2 Circle Fly fellers come a visiting in 24. Back to Back visits would sure mean a HEEP would need to start ordering HazMat gear. Now as fer them below the border fellers, Old Pirate sure nuff over the years warned against playing them fellers was more dangerous than visiting a strip joint blind folded & drunk. Leastways, hearing this mess while chasing golf balls sure is distracting.

Yeah, but I bet you were giddy when you heard Saban rode off into the sunset?

    Go Pirates!!

Hey ST... my friends call me Trader, and I'm a lifetime Cowboy fan too...got pics from when I was five with a plastic helmet with the "star" and a "Dandy Don" Meridith jersey.

It wasn't always this bad... I thought that I almost beat it when they fired Landry...I don't know how I got to this point, but I'm ready to admit that I'll always love me some Cowboys without any expectations.

Turn out the lights,   The party's over.
