haha and so you have found the essence of small town football.I don't root against Greeneville, I want them to continue their success. Brings more attention to the county. But, word is, that the ol' talent pool isnt running as high as it has been the past 3-4 years. Which isnt good with CAK rumored to be moving up to 4A.S. Greene has some talent coming up and with the rumors of us going to 2A we will be competing deep in the playoffs IMO in the upcoming years.

seems like a shot at Jones? Not sure why though. Has produced some playoff conteders the past couple years. WG is healthy, but SG has more to prove and has been improving. SG has the athletes to compete with WG. Will we stop the power is the question.

rumors round here is that greeneville would be moving to the 3 rivers, and that they would get South and central, while we picked up GP. That would stack the 3 rivers tho with Betsy, Greeneville, South, and North. Off season around the TSSAA should be interesting.

wow, now that is a detailed pick EHStrack Warrior, I do not believe they would fire a H.S. coach in this area at this level mid-season so he will at least finish the season out. And to be honest with you, after the heat this guy is taking after 2 playoff seasons I wouldnt doubt if he just says "i'm outta here." As far as the game tomorrow, I know east is in that same style offense that coach loves to run with tons of misdirection. QB seemed to throw a good deep ball. Warrior, since you have such a beat on the inner workings at Valley, the kids getting pumped about this one? hows their mentatlity?

speaking of which, we been hearin all kinds of rumors about where they might be going.. any one heard if they will be coming this way for conf play or somewhere else?

your exactly right man. I love the way a Jenkins coached team gets to the football! saw them play againt DB, and I tell you what. #23 is the real deal. Havent gotten to see THS play, has he got that offense clicking this year?May have to make the trip up to see this one as this will def be one of the best games in the area. Warrior, I understand your frustration right now.( our only win this year is N. Greene by one point !!!) but I aint blaming jones for it. You know why? Cause I've seen us play (and lose) 3 times this yr against erwin, greeneville, and crockett and it aint cause we had a bad scheme, or poor coaching, same stuff worked last yr when we had a good year. the difference was the kids doing it. now this group coming up, i believe theyll be pretty good, but theyre young. Do you really think its the scheme of the coaches thats the reason you guys are struggling? or is it that you dont have those home run hitters like every good team in h.s. football needs to win them a game or two? now im really asking, cause i got no clue, aside from reading these posts, but for that program to be strugglin like it is, I'd say either injuries or a down year. from the way your talkin, Ballard could step in their tomorrow with that talent and win the conference. is that the case?

Props to central for their improvement this year. Hope they fight till the end in this one. Always a good thing for NE TN teams to improve . DB on a different level this year. Lookin forward to week 10!

What your not mentioning in there is that the Kids have to buy in to what the coach is selling. He could be trying to do the right thing.(lets not forget that they were pretty good up until this years debacle.) when you arent winning, these kids real character shows and they start to question their coaches. You dont wake up one season and decide to change the way you coach your football team, you just role through the punches with the kids you have. Sometime you have soldiers, sometimes you have quitters. I havent seem them this year, but I know from the past I have always heard he is a pretty good X's and O's guy and runs a good program.But as always the coach is the scapegoat. Grass aint always greener on the other side, so before you fire the landscaper, look at the quality of your seeds.

Greeneville will not score as much on WG as they did on us (tough to be in the crowd for that one) because west Greene's defense is not water like SG's. the one thing WG is holding onto for this season is their still stout defense. Dont get me wrong, Greeneville will score plenty It will just be less 50+ yd scores.

To beat Doak, gap will have to force Doak into their passing game. If they can do that, and guard malone, then they will win this game running away. However, if they cant stop the running attack, and arent able to adjust to their misdirectional stuff, itll be a long night for CG. I think this one is close, but gap is not ready to take the BRAC 2nd place throne yet. Doak 38 gap 30

WG is def down this year with some keys injuries... but even with that, they'll win this one by 3 scores. NG will have trouble moving the ball against WG's defense which will give WG more possessions.

A 5-5 Austin-East team would be in the first Quad. So wouldnt that move CAK back to quad two? I believe we are going to get a good look at some of those TSSAA tie breakers this post season. Also, Is Cumb. Gap for real? Saw them at our Jamboree and they looked pretty good, but 8-2? wow, over doak? I think some of those quad one final records are off a bit. just from seeing almost all of them play this year.

Betsy is not Betsy this year. North may beat them worse than last year. Betsy got some good running backs, but the passing game is far from last years attack. North will attack this game with something to prove as always, their coach always gets them ready. North 38- Betsy - 17

Saw boone play, im a h.s. football fanatic. QB has Solid arm, makes good reads, good athlete. will run the offense well. DB should win this one because they have better players in the trenches, and a few more game changers on the perimeter. but #20 and #23 for boone are just as good as anyone in the area.

Greeneville has this one by as much as they want, but I am anxious to see if our boys keep battling and use it as a chance to get better, or if they throw in the towel early. Go rebs Rebel Pride
