  1. Rose is a good player, but isn't cascade 3a this year? I also agree with other posts, as there are many good players and they can't all be listed.
  2. I don't see how AJ Harris #73 from Community wouldn't be one of the best players at least in region 9A. I know most of you don't know him, but you should get to know him, he is extremely strong, quick, plays good football and is a very good kid. AJ won strongest athlete MVP at the NUC in Kinston NC, made the all combine team, got a U100 invite, and a Five Star showcase invite. At the Five Star he held his own really well, and made the top 80 list at #54. At a prospect combine at Bethel AJ ran a 5.7 40, a 4.8 shuttle, and totally dominated in one on ones. AJ isn’t being heavily recruited yet, but gets prob 10 letters each week, about 20 or more emails every week some texts and has had several phone calls with 1AA, D2 and NAIA coaches. He has been invited to over 20 D1aa and D2 prospect camps and has attended 2 already. I know a lot of that stuff don’t mean too much but I think the interest in AJ is growing and he has defiantly turned it up a notch this off season. His bench max in September was about 360 and now it is 405, all the way down and then locked out, can do 20 reps of 250 and 25 reps of 225. AJ is currently trying to max his bench at 425 before the end of the school year and get his 40 to a verified 5.4 (he has ran 5.2 at 265lbs). He is currently listed on NUC at 5ft 11†and 270lbs. AJ is a solid football player who brings no baggage what so ever to the table. Junior season evaluation video, NUC combine footage,
  3. Community lost a lot of good talent, but they have been working hard this off season. AJ Harris will be leading a young D this year, and he is a man, who just happens to be 17. AJ's bench max is 405, can do 225 25 times, 250, 20 times, and ran a 4.8 shuttle at Bethel (not bad for a 275lb kid). Coach Frost really has these kids getting stronger and faster, they may just have less talent this year.
  4. Has anyone talked to the people at Jostens? I know they have sold rings at cost before in certain situations.
  5. I know it is hard for a kid to get noticed when most people don't even know the team; however AJ Harris #73 NT for Community is the real deal. He is 6.0ft almost 270 lbs and looks like a WWE wrestler and he is strong (can do around 40 reps at 185). This kid had around 60 tackles from the NT spot and on a team that doesn't get a ton of tackles per game. AJ is also a real good kid, always offering a hand to players on the ground, helps with the elderly, and has worked on several local mission events. AJ has been voted class president & most courteous, and was all region HM is freshman year while only really playing 8 games. Again AJ might not ever get mentioned, but he deserves to be.
  6. LOL only had about 4 or 5 negative responces to this post.I was saying this weeks ago, Silverdale is MUCH tougher than most were giving them credit for. But then again many people try to crap on teams they have never even seen or without anything to back it up. Good job to both teams.
  7. A good coach, or someone who knows about speed can make any player faster, and I do not believe "you can't coach speed"; however I know what you are getting at.
  8. The trauma was bad enough and it is great to hear there was no concussion. I think a lot of people out there still don't understand concussions, they are much worse than most think. I am glad this kid did not suffer a concussion and wish him the best.
  9. I know life is not just about football, so I hope people do not get me wrong here, but do they know weather he will be able to play football again, or too early to tell?
  10. Dude get off your rocker, I am no Silverdale fan, alum or anything like that. I am actually a fan of SP and have been for many years I just live a long distance from SP. I am a proud alum and huge fan of Community, and like you I post what I see and what I think. In no way did I disrespect SP or Grace, in fact I said I thought Grace would win by 10. Some other people spout off about Sp athletes vs Silverdale athletes which is just plain stupidity, as I didn't once claim that Silverdale had better athletes than SP or anyone else. I said I thought Silverdale would simply score more than 7 points based on the fact that Grace usually gives up more than 7. I do not understand why people cannot check their feelings and tempers when someone does not think exactly like they do especially when they back it up with stats and facts.
  11. First I didn't say ANYTHING about Sp, and 7 teams out of the 10 you played scored more than 7 points, and Silverdale is better and has more athletes than some of those teams. Everything I stated except my prediction of the score was a fact. You can dispute facts all you want but they are still facts. I am also sorry I did not realize that by SP scoring 72 it meant that Silverdale couldn't score.
  12. Everyone seems to think Grace will win by a huge margin, and I do agree that Grace will probably win; however I do think Silverdale will be able to score. I mean really you guys (Grace have given up points to teams that aren't even close to the caliber if Silverdale. Of the 4 teams you guys did beat this year by 28+ none of them had a winning record. As I have stated in other posts (before last nights win) Silverdale is tougher than most people think. I'll say Grace 31 - Silverdale 21
  13. I don't know the coach, but I do know the 4 years before he came the team went 10-31 and before this season the team went 27-18 in the coachs first 4 years (all 4 winning seasons and the previous 4 had no winning seasons). I also know this years team has 23 freshman & 20 sophomores with like 9 seniors, this could have somehting to do with the poor season; however if you can keep these 43 underclassmen for the next couple of years this team could be really good.
  14. I got a couple of their games on video if you want to check them out.................just kidding I couldn't do that, but I do have some.
  15. Actually Hamptons schedule is worse than Silverdale. You guys only played 1 team that had a winning record. Your loss was was a close game to a 4-6 team, Silverdales loss was not close but to a 9-1 team. I think Silverdale is a big tougher than most think; however you guys score a bit more and your D is much better. I think Hampton wins by 12-14; however I would never be questining a team based on schedule if mine was horrid.
  16. I could be wrong, but I think this thread was allowed only on the condition it did not become a coach bashing thread. I would like to see this thread and others like it in the future; however we may not get to if people cannot follow the rules.
  17. I don't like regular bye weeks; however I think playoff bye weeks are much different. Most bye weeks the kids don't seem to be a pumped and sometimes it even takes a quarter or two before they play as they should; however this is not as much of a problem in the playoffs, as most kids are ready to rock and roll. The week gives teams time to heal up and work in some different plays even watch their opponant live if they want. Also many a hard fought games are in the first round and many players get bumped or tweaked and ever injured. Just my two cents but if I were the coach I would love the bye.
  18. I say Eagleville, and I agree they are playing much better ball than there were the first half of the season; however they really haven't beaten a real quality team, but then again Monterey hasn't either. I think Mont has played a tougher schedule, but didn't show much in those tough games. Mont's D gives up a lot. I think both will score, but Eagleville pulls it out prob by 14 or more.
  19. That's my bad tpay, I didn't think the Westmorland game was. I also agree with commander, I was really trying to say that I thought this MC was not really like last years Eagleville.
  20. Last years Eagleville is not this years MC, Eagleville had won 4 games by a combined 7 points, MC's 4 tightest games were by 30 total. MC's D is playing much better the second half of the season, and Eagleville's D was playing worse the second half of the year last year. I try to look at the total and make an argument. I also never stated MC was the holy grail of teams, nor that Gvill wasn't. I merely stated that Gvill did not mercy rule several teams this year and MC is better than some of those. I try to make my statements based on facts, and not pulling it out of the air.
  21. I'm with Ambassador on this one, but I think WC could be the only challenger.
  22. I agree MC's schedule wasn't stacked, but they did play 4 playoff teams and did go 10-0, I dont see how anyone could think they would be worse than 4th in 1a, 7th at best would mean several teams giving up 20+ a game (also while playing weak teams) are better than a 10-0 MC. Then again we will see.
  23. SP is a good team, and have a great tradition, but this SP team is not like some in the past (their D is not as strong is it has been), that is why I say gville by 20. And as far as the mercy rule I guess we will have to wait and see. MC's D is really good, and I don't know why everyone seems to doubt them. MC is not Clay county, watertown, or red boiling, this team is 10-0. I do not doubt gvill will prob beat MC, but not by the 35 you think. I do think Gvill has the best D and maybe best O in 1a; however unlike you I think MC is prob the second or third best team in 1a. There were 6 teams this year that Gvill did not beat by more than 35 and I think MC is better than most of those and up there with all of them.
  24. I say it will be Eagleville & MC = MC by 14, then Gville & SP = Gville by 20. Gville & MC = Gville by 12
  25. Coach Johnnie Frost (Community Vikings head Coach) has helped to develop a program from scratch. He has withstood the early criticism from not winning, the heartaches from 0-10 seasons, and the disbelief's when just a few plays here or there could have turned a loss into a win. Now coach Frost has grown boys into football players. Players now understand football, are faster and much stronger, and most importantly Coach Frost's players know how to win. Community has won 7 games over the past two seasons with 4 this season, also with a few heartbreaking close losses. This team has grown considerably over the past 6 years, and much of this growth is directly tied to coach Frost and his staff. Many people may scoff at a 4 win season; however I think many teams and fan bases would love to see 4 win seasons within their first 6 full seasons of existence (especially at a small rural setting). Again thanks Coach Frost and staff for all your dedication and hard work; your boys will remember these years forever.
