  1. Haven't seen you down at that address. You must be hiding with @Playerscoach working on soccer grundle or head dance team. You must have been decent at soccer, but we don't know because the Hitman took your spot.
  2. Word around BB's cafe is Coach P wanted a different place to live. Love Rhea County and Watts Bar are good people.
  3. @Playerscoach has gone into hiding and must be soccer time grundle. Hate to hear that about the DC, but fresh start could be good for everyone involved and what's best for his family. Lot of respect for him. Job is going to be tough after Year 1. If TSSAA passes transfer rule, all heck can break loose quickly and will be tough to keep some unhappy players there. Immediate help could come from Wilson County with linemen on the way or look around in Madison and East Nashville. Eligible help is everywhere at the Donelson Y, Old Hickory Community Center, and Hermitage Community - but if you need cornfed, gonna have to MJ Providence and get the 2 Rivers van loaded. Missouri is nice place with big deer and outside activities.
  4. Ask FCS how that worked out in basketball when they let a man go for a "college level" girls coach who stayed one year. That was a disaster. Then in boys, they hired a "college coach" from Free Will, who couldn't run a simple PE class. Coaching in college means nothing at high schools. Those candidates can not adapt to teaching and working with faculty in a high school, so they up to a "better" job and leave. Ensworth hired Jeremy in football, one and done. Clown show hire. No reason for a search in basketball if change is needed. They just need helpers. If you can provide help coaching hoops, which I think you have - you should apply. Not sure if Catholic league counts.
  5. Great questions. 1.) We don't know. 2.) His lineman were bigger than some D2-A schools. And some bad 1A and 2A schools. 3.) Worrying about something that isn't a problem yet. Nobody cares about Blackman. They can't win. Shadowens was their best coach and they got mad over some gift cards. Won 2 titles at Smyrna, but let's get mad over gift cards.
  6. Long leash. The job never comes available. The great Paul Wade went 0-10 and survived. The Sheriff will not let anything happen under his watch as he and the Chief are bringing law and order back to the Stones.
  7. Cooled off for a week in timeout. The question by @Playerscoach is where does DCA go? The feedback provided was to fix basketball to help football. To fix basketball, probably good to start with a couple of guys that have been on the same staff before. Doesn't really matter who actually calls timeouts, but get those folks they will win quickly. @Sackmaster50 probably knows some names. Hearing big things coming to the new staff. Trojan decided to stay out East, the Lord has a bigger plan. Two Rivers Ford and others have been on the phone circling the wagons.
  8. CJP is a better fit for DCA than either. Roc Batten doesnt win state anywhere as head coach. And would he a terrible fit for DCA. CJP will be a lifer when gets kids in and wins. Most important thing to do is build roster immediately inside the school and he has already reached out to right people to help get other kids to play. U need to get back to grundling Vic Grider down there in South Pittsburg. Or go be Gary Rankin’s ipad man on Friday Nights!
  9. LA hired Kevin Mawae. Trainwreck. Went back to Jamie Graham from Nashville with roots. Ensworth is big trainwreck and I dont think Hasselbeck will win, but his wife can win some elections later. BA has the best coach, he just needs to fix the OL and get some players and build depth in lower grades to beat Chattanooga who is ahead of everyone right now.
  10. Yeah man. That Dork Bix has pissed off all the longtime Goodpasture people over there. When you let the GOAT volleyball coach of all time leave and go to Ezell Harding out of spite, that's pathetic. That guy couldn't play basketball, couldn't coach basketball with David Martin and Estep, and then they had to step in and handle that. But he's really good and sitting in the corner with his calculator app and history book. It takes zero talent to coach anything over there except football. Everyone else is riding the coattails of everyone else's hard work. He makes the faculty look like a bunch of beggars.
  11. Thank you for your luck. We don't need it, we just need the people.
  12. High school coaching “experience” is the most overrated factor ever in hiring a coach. Hire people, not resumes. Get the right people, it will all work out. My rants are great. My next one on social media is aimed at all the GP faculty beggars on FB. The Cougar parents sit around like a bunch of beggars asking folks to donate $$ so their teachers can get some pencils. If Im a GP parent, I would be so embarrassed of asking other people to donate for paper towels, trapper keepers, and little Susie’s classroom, etc. I would probably walk up in their headmasters office and tell that dork Bix, stop with that. heck, they should just post the calendar or some super bowl squares. Brandywine Pointe parents should not be on social media looking like a bunch of spineless beggars for some classroom pencils. What a joke!
  13. CJP is a great hire for the future of the school and program. He is a symbol of change. I think the administration did a great job, and I think he will suprise a lot of people. He is young, energetic, motivated and exactly what is needed. The naysayers will point at the record and resume, but this is much more about fit. CJP is a fit. This is not going to be an easy job, and will require a tremendous amount of energy and work. The guy had the balls to take the HC job at MJCA. He took over ER when the admin was an absolute trainwreck, and it didnt work. His middle school program had been top notch since. It is perfectly understandable that other candidates be upset, disappointed, and hurt. People are going to complain no matter what, but the facts are that he was the right fit and offered the position. The biggest thing is that he will care. All the football alumni that ###### and complain that read here can listen up. Instead of bitching, complaining, texting, bashing, listen up. Most of you that spend your years complaining about certain folks. Instead of doing that, you should walk up in that school, tell them you are in no matter who the coach is, enroll your kids, grab your balls and quit letting your wives dictate where your kids go to school. Be apart of the solution.
  14. Thanks @stephenhargisunderstudy - Any thoughts on the former coach's feedback? Since you are still keeping up with the thread and the school with a bird's eye view, what do you think about the feedback provided? I would be @Playerscoach would have an opinion about it also. Let's discuss.
  15. Well, he won't have that problem, it's the other way. Just needs to engage some parents that he goes way back with including the Sheriff! The Sheriff has a great pad to host some outside parties including a swimming pool, and his other half is the best cook I know! I'd call @Sackmaster50 and get him working that Donelson Baseball circuit, and he is the future HC of the dance team from my sources. Donelson Y membership is a must, and first meal should be at Whitts BBQ in Madison.
  16. Agree 100%. Got to build the roster quickly with the kids inside the school.
  17. @BigENS - your thoughts about your hero....please confirm about your dad
  18. Roc Batten would be a terrible fit for DCA. And DCA would be a terrible fit for Roc Batten. Jay could be the next Dennis Goodwin. That turned out fine. I'd call @Sackmaster50 to be the next Paul Wade.
  19. You probably need to go watch some film or you can pick me up……Might need a ride.
  20. Good Lord man. Lick the man’s boots!
