I played under Coach Dedman, he is a great man and a great coach. He inherited a horrible team that coach Aric left behind in his first couple of years. Then had a really good year after some players developed in his system. He had a bad playoff draw with a very good 2012 team that had to go to Brentwood as a 7 seed. (The Beech Loss killed us). The difference between now and then is that Roundtree has been the only decent QB to come through the program in his time as Head Coach. They haven't really been able to throw it so, everyone stacks the box against them. It's hard to win when everyone know what you're going to do.

Notes from last nights game: I played football at central, so I know MJ very well, Lebanon too. Mount Juliet just doesn't seem the same as they have over the last few years. I was in the stands and looked over on the MJ side, there was hardly anybody there and they had a tiny student section. I really didn't think that MJ looked very good on the field either. I think they should've won by way more. I'll give them this... They are big and athletic, but it's just not the same buzz an MJ team usually has. Lebanon is pitiful.

Lebanon has beat the worst team in 6a (Warren County will go 0-11) and one of the worst teams in 5a. They still suck and will lose by 14+. Hate to be so harsh. If they keep it close I will be absolutely shocked.

Central has a dominant offensive line that is paired with a few really really good backs. They also have a very very solid defense, probably the best defense since the 2012-2013 team. They also all live to play football which is a big reason that I really like this team. Don't sleep on them I could see them winning some big games down the road. Great night to be a wildcat, and a huge win. Proud Alum!!

When is cookeville going to play a team that is actually competitive? None of the games they are playing out of the district will prepare them for Oakland or Blackman.

I agree, however if Wilson Central can figure it out on offense I think they can be dangerous. They have a great defense from what I saw last night. Good backs, just too many turnovers and a blocked punt that scored a touchdown.
