  1. A game like this benefits Heritage in the long run down the strech against teams they may have normally gave up against when things get tough. I watched Heritage play a scrimmage against Gatlinburg Pittman before the season and against Maryville where youth and mistakes killed them. I seen them play a much better Karns team than last year and win 35-0. I look for West to come out on top on this one but the next four games Heritage has a shot at winning most if not all. Could you imagine then going 6-4 or 7-3. In the last 36 years Heritage has had only one team that has a winning record and that was in 1999 with a 7-4 team under Danny Wilson. Say what you want about the coach out there but he has actually taken a team left for dead and brought it back to life. What this guy walked into out there was nothing short of ground zero it was so bad. Not many people know about the things that he did to change this enviroment, the facilities and the losing mind set this program has been through. I love to see any team that has been given up on to finally get a taste of winning.
  2. When the barber says no tailgate party Friday Night what he's really saying is this will be a cremation by the end of the first quarter along with a heavy chance of rain that he don't wont to take home a bunch of food he'll be eating on for a couple of days to get rid of it.
  3. West should win but there is a major drop off between West this year and last, I could see that against Maryville two weeks ago. Maryville came out and lolly gagged around the second half or that could have been real ugly that night. I see West losing to Alcoa, Anderson and Powell for a 5-5 season.
  4. A picture is worth a thousand words especially when it's accurate.
  5. A little surprised last Friday by the Stone Memorial loss, will Meigs bounce back this week.
  6. What it looks like to be fired by Sequoyah or Sweetwater during the season by people on the outside.
  7. Coalfield 5-0 at home and Sequatchie County is 4-1. Should be a big game.
  8. Glad Greenback won but when it comes to 1A football a couple of players being out can change everything. Either Greenback got some good players back out or Oakdale may have had some missing players. Any of those two things can change everything in a weeks time. Right now I am leaning Oneida because I did watch them shut Eagleton down cold on replays but their offense needs a lot of work.
  9. Makes sense now why we are (Maryville ) getting bigger and WB is getting smaller with all the move in's from out of state. The bad thing is we're not really seeing many athletes regarding all those out of towners.
  10. No matter how good you are there will always be a game like this come along you weren't as prepared as you thought. Those boy's did a great job of pulling that off in the end.
  11. 39-9 this weeks pick. The South Pitt game caused me from hitting 40. The Greenback game was the upset of the week but that's one I'm glad I missed.
  12. Maryville went ahead of Science Hill last night with one second to go and kicked off to them and got a saftey to end the game. A very strange nighy for a bucnh of teams last night.
  13. I went out and watched Heritage last night because I would be all over the road coming back from a 108 mile trip and watched them beat Karns 28-0 with your all's former QB. That kid is good and would have been an all star in 1A Football. So much damage was done by a pack of fools in charge that words can't explain. Hope everyone gets involved more this time on the picking of a new coach because they have some good kids coming up.
  14. I wonder how many people are setting on the hot seat at Eagleton.
  15. I was setting here and when they didn't go for a field goal even Alexia said what a dumb ####.
  16. Just a quick review of the 2024 season at Sequayah and the season isn't half over yet. Why am I not surprised.
  17. William Blount is one of those teams that depends on what side of the bed they woke up on gamee day.
  18. I'm curious if the qb is hurt or okay for Sweetwater. Heard a lot about the kid from one of the fans there for a while and no longer hear anything. Hope everything is alright.

  20. I'm going with Halls on this one, should be a great game.
  21. I sure hope the concession food is good or do I need to stop at Pal's on the way. That's hard on a person driving a hundred miles to see a football game only to be served hot dogs even the Haitians wouldn't eat. That's why we give you lots of options before coming to our place.
  22. Two years in a row we lost our key player and very lucky to have a backup standing by that could carry the load. Price is tough as nails and a great leader and done a great job over the winter in workouts and it's shows but there is a major drop off sometimes when he goes out of the game when we are still playing the other teams number 1 unit.
  23. Mo East gave this game away with to many penalties as I watched the replay today. A holding penalty on the second to the last play took Mo East out of an easy field goal there at the end but it was a good game and glad WB pulled it out on their final drive.
