  1. @Grunt after that first load of dirt was dumped, was there a Watertown fan kicking the dirt and mumbling the next day? Jk, Watertown folks!
  2. @jimmycrackedthatcorn that wasn’t one of the options, as I guess they wanted to branch out from the usual suspects.
  3. This game is the Titans’ Game of the Week, it appears.
  4. Good grief. I am from Gordonsville, originally, and have generally hoped Watertown would have a good year. But after seeing the same posts, over and over again lambasting Hartsville’s education system and football integrity and calling Gordonsville a barely functioning offense, I don’t get it. That said, this year, I hope Trousdale beats Watertown by 3 TDs. But this week, is not week 10, and I hope Trousdale loses. Good programs, get respect when they lose and show class when they are winning.
  5. @Tide21 As you know, football has many variables. I mean even the ball is oblong, and doesn’t bounce predictably. Ha
  6. @Tide21 well, they are pretty good. Three of the teams they have played are close by them, but not what one would call elite. They’re best win, by far is a decent Cornersville. They beat region opponent, Jo Byrns, by 2 TDs, but Gville scored at-will against that same team and had backups in the 2nd half. Not to say they won’t beat Gville, though, but they haven’t played a similar level of competition, yet.
  7. @Grunt I don’t get the problem people are having with how the rules are set up. I don’t know of a time that TC has weaseled out of a game.
  8. I don’t know why this has become a Seinfeld style “airing on the grievances” by Watertown, but the two programs it is about have a long history of success ,and is generally a really fun game to watch. Both programs respect one another and bring a lot of people out to the game. Good luck to both teams, but I hope a little more luck for one than the other. Ha
  9. Gordonsville’s running game has improved, dramatically. The starting running back is a sophomore and plays linebacker, as well. He improves and is more impactful, each week. They averaged 9yds/rush and 20yds/passing PLAY, this week, but Jo Byrns and Coalfield are not TC. I expect it to be a good game.
  10. Congratulations Watertown! Needless to say, there is some good football being played out of Wilson and Trousdale Counties and Gordonsville.
  11. @HevyReturns Thanks for the insight. Anyway, the meat of the season is coming up and I look forward to seeing how things play out.
  12. Is it a pretty county, and visiting Fort Donelson is nice. The cannon ramparts overlook the river.
  13. Clay County, Hampton and Gordonsville have shaken this up a bit, tonight.
