  1. What are you talking about...the lowest of the low? Your team had more cheap shots and were very classless. And your fans, classless as well. Don't know why as with your "work study" your coach has recruited a bevy of talented players. And your coach is an excellent game caller. Be happy, NCS will probably win the state title with their bought team, yes I said it, bought team. With so many offensive weapons you will be hard to beat.
  2. Are you kidding? Were we at the same game? Finally refs that called you out on all the holdings. And all the cheap shots from your team. I'd say NCS was more despicable. What is funny is that NCS really has a lot of talented players that doesn't need to resort to cheap shots. And your coach by far outcoached the CA coach.
  3. I'm sorry, but this player is not D1 talent. He is too small. He is talented yes with good blockers around him to open up holes, but D1 no. And his stats are inflated because his daddy is the coach. Seen it many times, if your a coaches son you get all the carries, or when the ball gets down the field, you get the call to take it in thus getting the stats. No way a kid like this or most of the other coaches sons ever make it playing college ball. Why...because Daddy isn't there to give them the position and all the reps. Instead they might actually have to work hard and earn something on their own. Not trying to put this player down, as I'm sure he is a great student and he is a huge asset to his team. But D1, keep dreaming.
  4. That was my thought...how are they 1A when most teams are considerably smaller?
  5. Thanks NCSdad1962 for the explanation above. Funny what you said about the bowling kid
  6. That is impressive stats (#34 with 6 carries for 152 yards.) Other schools would kill to have that kind of OL able to block to make that happen. And #34 is just a sophomore? Sounds like he did a great job and is a very talented player.
  7. In all seriousness NCSdad1962, can you explain to me how an athlete at NCS (lets use a player on the football team for example) has time to "work" enough hours at a fair wage to compensate for paying the tuition? How is said player able to go to school and go to practice yet while basically working a full time job, or "work study"? Just trying to figure out how this "work study" works so other private schools can get on board and start hitting up the neighboring public schools and recruit some players to "work study", especially for those private schools with very small roster numbers.
  8. Yep..."work study" just a fancy word for recruiting. Sad that is being allowed. Seriously, what a sham. And regarding the comment about CA, they do not have a bought team at all. Just look at them, barely enough to field a team and most of the ones on the field are small. As a fan whose boys have long since graduated, I wish CA would take the initiative and mimic NCS with their recruiting of athletes, I mean "work study". And before the NCS fans get offended, not jealous at all of your success. Just wish it was success earned honestly. I have no problem with a team winning fairly, but with it being against the rules to recruit in 1A., how this is being allowed to happen is a mystery.
  9. This fall weather is great for football...
  10. Agree with Shep NCS @ East Rob McEwen @ HC CA @ JB
  11. I think it will be great for a team from this side of the state to upset some of the dominating teams from the other side so if NCS is that team, then Go Eagles!
  12. I don't think NCS will have any problems with East Rob this Friday like the ambassador said from the machine that is NCS. .
  13. Nope looks like they moved him to RB and have a small kid at QB, not sure his name . from what my wife and I saw, the change up doesn't seem to be working. Last years QB was a beast at the few games we got to see.
  14. looks like same offense, just moved folks around and doesn't seem to be working out to good.
  15. Agree...I see 0 wins for CA the rest of the season. Aside from the injuries, they seem to have changed up personnel on the field and have too many young, inexperienced players taking the lead. I actually think the 46-7 prediction from Artvandely TN might be a bit generous. With the new CA offense in place, it will probably be more like 46-0.
  16. The wife and I braved the rain and watched a little of CA Friday night and your right, the sideline did look like a triage facility with all the crutches. CA seems to be very low in numbers this season, small roster. Anyone know what is going on with this program?
  17. Your mistaking a dab of sarcasm and actual sincerity for jealousy. Mean it when I say I wish other coaches would take a lesson from your coach as he has taken a program and made it #3 in the state. Not dabbling in hemp, just rethinking location!
  18. These polls are just opinions, and everyones got one. But from all the smack talk, sounds like NCS has state wrapped up as they move up the polls. Maybe Coach Brothers can clone himself and teach all the other schools how to bring in SEC talent, use their best players, and create a media storm.
  19. Come on Devils...send those Eagles flying back to Nashville with crushed wings...
  20. McEwen definitely comes into tonights game as the underdog. And if CA takes them for granted, especially with a team stacked with young, inexperienced players, things might get dicey. After tonight, CA has some tougher teams coming up so it should be interesting to see how it all plays out. Meanwhile, in other district action tonight, should be a great game against NCS and JoByrns. Go Devils!!!
  21. NCS is certainly getting a lot of press on these message boards as the team to beat in 1A. I am looking forward to seeing them play Friday night, as it should be a great game against Jo Byrns, another talented team in this area. NCSdad1962, what happened to your QB? Hope he is okay. It seems like lots of players from many different teams are suffering injuries early in the season.
  22. Collinwood is a dirty team...that seems to be the common theme from many different schools that have had the pleasure of playing them. Too bad because they have many talented players. Can we credit the coaching staff for allowing their team to behave in this manner? I'm sure it was frustrating to be ahead and then end up losing the game. But please, show some class and learn to take a loss. CA has had losses and to my knowledge from these message boards, have never behaved in the manner displayed by the Collinwood players, coaches and fans. And to read that the fans actually got in front of the bus carrying kids and blocked them by going slow out of town...Seriously? How redneck, backwards and ignorant do you have to be to do something that childish. Grow up Collinwood...
