  1. Stewart Cheatham Sycamore Waverly WHH
  2. Fairview is inexperienced and in my opinion lacks leadership on the field. They have 8 Seniors, with really only 2 seeing playing time in every game last year. Experience and finding those on field leaders will come, but not in time for them to beat Waverly. I do think they will compete better than they did last week, this coaching staff always finds ways to get mistakes cleaned up from week to week, but Waverly will have too much for them. Waverly by 3 TD's
  3. My competitive nature envies you for being able to say this! LOL! Seriously though, it was a huge win for that community, as I am guessing we had a 20 year winning streak. My biggest take away, we are inexperienced, and lack leadership on the field. Both things can and typically work themselves out as the season moves forward, but this is the re-loading year Fairview fans have been talking about since 2009. My support for the team will still be there, and my heart will break a little watching the boys struggle. Having said that, if the team, especially younger guys, can stay bought in and continue to be coachable, they will turn it around next year. That will be a HUGE task for the coaches this year! #JacketPride
  4. Williamson Herald puts out Williamson High School preview every year - so excited to get my copy today! Here is one of the Heralds sports writers predictions for Region 6-3A: Sycamore Cheatham County White House Heritage Fairview Stewart County
  5. Found it! I am more familiar with Middle and West TN teams! Was just going to take advice and watch some film on them.
  6. Clinton High - is this a TN school?
  7. Meaning, it is easy for that person who posted to Twitter to hide behind the keyboard! Assuming it was a parent affiliated with the team, too many times they will go to social media first and not the coaching staff. Or worse, have people do it for them. Sad, but just the world we live in at this point I assume!
  8. I was at the game - and I was not comfortable until the end! LOL!
  9. I know a kid who was at State last year and still goes over that last match in his mind, and what he could have done different. He worked his tail off and was mediocre at best, but knew his role when it came to duals, and anything in individual accomplishments was just icing on the cake. Coaches poured heart and soul into him! I agree with all you have said, and did not even see the match referenced - because I have seen matches like that. Anyone who has made it that far is 100% giving it all they have, or they would not be there.
  10. I could not agree with this more! I have known kids this happened too and it is devastating for them. I am not sure if wrestlers can wear a mouthpiece, that that would be a "quick" solution.
  11. 100% correct. My biggest question, that I suppose has no right or wrong answer - how does any school keep that talent home? Someone commented on here it is an issue all over WCS, but seems to hurt Fairview more simply due to our size. This is not just a football problem either. And even though I don't have any kids playing sports anymore, it does interest me on how we can keep those better athletes, students, and overall good kids at Fairview.
  12. Glad you took this clown on - I did not have the energy, or time reading this previously! #JacketPride
  13. I was reading and thinking the same thing
  14. Agree 100%. If Fairview and Smith County both win, round 2 will be a good, competitive game - that I do not want to make any predictions on!
  15. Not knowing anything about Smith County, other than from last year - but having been at a Sycamore game - Smith County 35 Sycamore 7
  16. I could not agree with you more - as wrestling did the same for my son! So many benefits outside the wrestling room!
  17. Fairview hosts Maplewood this week. Fairview needs to take care of business and not look ahead to a potential rematch of last years Smith County game. Having said that, I think Fairview does take care of business, as will Smith County - and we head back to Carthage for a rematch of last years 1st round. Another long week ahead waiting on Friday!
  18. Fairview will also have their hands full in two weeks!
  19. I will add my 5'10" 230 pound "boy" loves your nephew!
  20. After all these years, I have it figured out! Oddly enough, who I thought you were I had right without this EXCELLANT clue! LOL!
