They won't play NCS or Huntingdon for about a month. They won't play TC at all and the JO Byrns game will be a lot of hype leading to a not so close game.

Probably why I heard the name so often that night if there are 2 of them.

JB boys were perfect angels that night. As I recall they started out the 2nd half with consecutive personal fouls. Another obvious no call came on the 3rd play. The hitting got harder as the game went along. We know how that went. It was a rough game, but you have to be really simple minded to lay all the blame on one side.

There's really nothing to look past. You won't have a serious challenge for a month.

At the least you drank the koolaid. Silver ball is not likely but possible. Good luck.

If the blue and orange are in playoff form, I think the Eagles win this one 41-7. If its a slow start I think 34-13 is about right. Good news is a 1 point win earns home field throughout. I'd much rather take on Huntingdon-Wayne County and Union City at home. Its apparent TC's history is weighing into some of the predictions for the game. Even with the disadvantages of size, youth, and big game experience, their is little buy in in regards to NCS. I guess that's why they play the game. Unless the creek bank is worth 3 or 4 scores, I don't think this one will be close past the first 2 series of the 2nd half.

Not saying another team can't win it. Just that they won't be from the east.

What makes you, or I guess anyone else that wants to chime in think Wayne County is better than NCS? Just looking for honest opinions. Not trying to stir the WC boys up, just interested.

You'll find out what you have when you play a team of equal or greater talent and skill level. The last time you played a talented defense you couldn't muster a point. I know there are twenty reasons why but as far as the best goes, they usually find a way.

You're way off the mark on this one. Monterey has beat three bottom feeders. Jo Byrns plays hard nose defense and scores what they need to to win comfortably. These two teams are not even close.

Take your chairs tonight. Plenty of room for tents if its raining. You'll be standing in wet grass and red clay. Have some tools ready to get the clay out of the cleats. The visitor sideline is the second base area of the baseball field. It cakes on thick. If you are not tied to the game with a son playing, I would sit this one out. Bad atmosphere for football. Nothing like going to a normal game.

I understand your point. It sounds though like your reserves don't ever score. Are they instructed not to? The separation in the quality of teams makes it a huge task not to score 50 or so points in many games. Would you prefer a run play be called for the freshman or that they kneel down each play? Is that teaching kids the right thing?

You need to start working on adopting a 5 and a 9 year old. After that your boys should be taking care of providing new players.
