  1. I agree, probably because Knox County is a mess educationally.
  2. Pretty sure he is....I could be wrong though. Also, I could have sworn when I was watching West play in the championship game the other night that the commentator said West D coordinator was a candidate?
  3. I have heard HC at Cocke Co., OC at Clinton & DC at South Doyle. If these are the candidates you are looking at an OC & DC that have helped rebuild the programs they are at & are coming off good seasons at their respected schools. The HC brings HC experience, but I am pretty sure the other two guys have that as well. Cocke Co. hasn't won many games under their HC, but he does have college coaching experience, so that makes his resume look good. I think all 3 would be good hires & I am sure there are others that I are in the race, these are just a few I heard about....assuming my sources are correct.
  4. The Ridge will be tough to stop next year. I believe they will win a region championship for the 2nd straight year & make a run in the play-offs. They need to work on the passing game if they are going to win state.
  5. Who are the TN coaches for this years team?
  6. So he was a HC in Knox County within the last 10 years?
  7. HTV no names? lol. Let me ask you this has a former head coach at a school in Knox County applied?
  8. So when will Powell have a coach in place? Any idea who all has applied or have they already began interviews? I haven't really heard a lot & there aren't too many names being mentioned. Looking like an in house hire possibly?
  9. I'm guessing he will be MIA for a while LMAO. Cocky bunch from Ooltewah....they were served some nice humble pie tonight!!
  10. Wait you mean Science Hill is the new team from northeast TN that will go 10-0 & then choke in the play-offs every year??? Congrats & good luck at Maryville LMAO
  11. This is how it should be....but probably not how it will be, at least in the east. Region 1 Cocke County Daniel Boone David Crockett Morristown East Morristown West Sevier County Tennessee High Region 2 Campbell County Gibbs Knoxville Halls Knoxville West Powell South Doyle Region 3 Clinton Farragut Heritage Karns Lenoir City Oak Ridge
  12. This is actually year 6 of the Z plan & all the bugs havent ever been worked out that is why this is the last year lol
  13. Thats total BS nobody will say CC should win that game, their not that much bigger & they never beat AC. It's not CC vs Lynn Camp. If these schools don't continue to play someone somewhere is an idiot!!
  14. I agree with you kidd...Rodney Ellison, I have met him a couple of times, seems to be of top notch character & knows his stuff....good things happen whereever he has been. Brad Taylor former HC at Bearden would also be a top notch choice for this job.
  15. What you are saying is how it should be...but this is T$$AA we r talking about lol. Good thing is this is the last year we will have to figure this stuff out.
  16. Double check that....I don't think they look at district champs & seeding until after the quads have been set. The quads are strictly geographic. There have been some quads 3 district champs & other quads with only 1 before. So unless they have made a change this year seeding wont happen until after geographic quads have been set.
  17. Wrong....football is a completely different animal. You can move up in football & it will not affect the other spots because there will be 6 classes & only 3 in all other sports. Just like it was back before the Z plan. Also, you mention renewing the old rivalries? Yes everyone will really look forward to those HUGE RIVALS like Oliver Springs & Wartburg LMAO. CAK will now be 3a so that rivalry won't be in 2a like it was before the Z plan. Loudon may not even be in that region. So honestly with all due respect to one of the best programs in the state...why wouldn't Alcoa at least want to play in 3a? Still would blow out most teams & win state, but there would be a little more competition. This is the problem that TSSAA has created by having too many state titles for the size of our state. It is watered down & teams like Alcoa & Fulton among others would rather play in different classes than each other so that they can all get state championship rings. If they were all in the same class we could have some GREAT matchups & find out who the true state champion is. Instead we have to watch 40-60 point wins in state championship games. 3 classes would be plenty, then Alcoa & Fulton among others would be stuck together in Double A.
  18. Ok....I had heard rumor that the new head coach at Powell "ran off" the radio station. Is there any truth to do this? Is he a jerk?
  19. Bad by score without a doubt, but the competition is some of the best in the state. Their other loss is to a good Central team & that was a competitive game. But I do think Powell is on a steady decline. I don't believe this coach is the answer, but the talent is down as well. Where are you at on Friday's now?
  20. Heritage is improved, but not nearly enough.
  21. CC will score points, but not enough. Too many athletes for the CC defense to defend.
  22. My understanding is that next week TSSAA will be contacting all schools & giving them the option to play up.
  23. Powell has some very good losses. Fulton, CAK, Anderson County.....most teams lose those games. I think this will be a great ball game. Not usre who to pick in this one, but I will go with Clinton because of QB play.
  24. The Tigers will get home early thanks to the mercy rule clock.
