  1. Key to the game will be PC playing error free football. Physical tools are there. Mental discipine is where I see the difference in the recent PC teams and the championship Firebirds.
  2. Take it one game at a time. Great showing last night. Time to get ready for Loretta.
  3. Not an excuse. i remember someone commenting on him having severe cramps last year. Waverly fan praying for a quick and full recovery. Go Lions (until next year hopefully).
  4. I agree with your opinion LBKiller 100%. This year's team is more comfortable with their roles and the coach's philosphy. Just don't want anyone slight the boys from last years team. Some played through football injuries that cost them in other sports and never made an excuse.
  5. What were the seniors that won 9 games last year?
  6. Thanks NavyChief. Great game played by both teams. Job well done by both coaching staffs. Good luck the rest of the way.
  7. 2/26 at 7:30 weather permitting.
  8. I believe you are correct about higher seeds host in the first round and the rest of the regional games are at Creekwood
  9. I would add Lighthouse Christian to Middle AAA as well. I know they are an independent school and not part of TSSAA but they have beaten a lot of AAA and Div II schools for the past two years easily.
  10. I personally believe that CPA basketball gets way too much coverage in the Tennessean. Would be nice for them to cover some of the other schools in Middle Tennessee area having good to great seasons. Creek Wood - undefeated season so far with little press outside of Dickson; Brentwood, Cane Ridge, Hillwood, Station Camp, FRA, BGA, BA, JP II, Stewarts Creek, and many other schools, especially in the surrounding counties, deserve some press coverage outside of the game summary and/or box scores.
  11. One dunk by Randolph from Waverly and an alley-oop dunk by one of the Cummings boys (I believe) from CW. One a scale of 1-10 Randolph's a 6; Cummings? a 9
  12. I have to support Galilee on this. I am a Middle, TN native and hate Memphis basketball with a passion, this one incident does not reflect all the good coaches and administrators throughout West TN. All the facts have not come out at this point, no need to jump to quick conclusions.
  13. I try not to make an excuse for a loss, but I am human. Comment on officiating was not me making an excuse for Waverly's loss. Every team has injuries, personal issues, etc. adjusting to officiating is part of the game. The referees/officials have a job to do and I do know how hard of a job it is to make a decision on something that happens in a fraction of a second. I simply was trying to state they were too visible in the game. The ideal officiating team would make very consistent calls by all 3 members while not having a stamp on the game itself. At this point in the season, CW is the team to beat in AA but a lot a basketball left to be played. Good luck the rest of the way.
  14. This was a good game, the better team won last night, I hate to say. Congrats to CW on the win. I hated the officiating, they made several bad calls/had several missed calls on both teams. A game of that magnitude, they should have been invisible. I felt the game was over-officiated at times. Again CW, congrats. Same players, same outstanding coach, different year and circumstances/situations. As a Waverly antaganist, you would not respect his body of work the same as a Waverly supporter or another basketball coach.
  15. Dotson is a very good player and a very nice young man as most of the kids are in our district. Thanks for clearing that up for me.
  16. I have always thought you gave a fair and honest assessment of Fairview's opponents and this confirms my opinion of you Jacketman. I am confused by the redshirt freshman comment though. I also believe they can play with CPA and would be pulling for them in a rematch. I do believe that CPA is stronger in the post and coaching though. I also am going with Waverly in next week's matchup between CW and the Tigers - what can I say I am a Blue-blooded Tiger fan.
  17. Creekwood beat Waverly at their own game. No excuses. Beagle you seem to hit it on the head with that statement. They have to get hungry again with the athletes on that team.
  18. Some of the girls that played last year decided to focus only on softball this year.
  19. Camden has some very good players. Congrats on the win
  20. Good luck to all teams playing tonight. Safe travels to all fans and parents.
