I may need to go back and brush up on the transfer rules but she didnt hit the court for anybody this past season so to my knowledge she can go play anywhere now, but i could be wrong. the heather butler comparision, i woudl take as an honor if i was King. butler is a premier player form the area hands done one of thebest guard to ever come thru the state, but King is a totally different player from what ive seen. Butler is a shooter and exceptional scorer for her size, King on the otherha nd looks to create and uses her size and length and athleticism well on defense, so idk if i woudl make that comparison. I do agree with the right coaching and work D1 is in her future.

Don't get me wrong I'm not taking nothing from them. I saw talent and potential but I didn't see what equaled to all the hype about this "great" team. Their a good AA team bit so is Westview, MLK, and McMinn. Jus call a spade a spade. They didn't live up to the hype thst was in this message board. Again? It's a message board, just my opinion. First let me say good job both teams and coaches. Now, Well that makes twice I've saw them since it was said that I state my opinion off one game. So ummmm.....lol. Call it like I see it. I'll wait!

Only knock on Jones is she needs to work on going right and develop a mid range game. Heck of a player for a freshman. Funny thing is she's right and a handed. She will be a special player to watch for sure. Great game Westview. IMO..Elizabethton is wayyyyyy overrated. They did nothing to really live up to the hype I've been seeing on here. They are solid but not wat i was expecting from reading about them. WV was a possession and/or a couple of Free Throws from beating them. Good game!

Well, i have been hearing about Elizabethon all year. I hope they make it as far as predicted so i can see then play friday and/or sat.

A bunch of no calls in the SS/Lexington game and i think that took a toll on McNeal, 3 games in 3 nights. He was attacking hard and getting hit and hitting the deck pretty hard. Fraser played McNeal fairly well, i saw a lot of holding too though. I dont think SS will get blown out, too tough of a team and McNeal is too relentless. Smith Brothers play pretty good defense so dont see it being as easy as some people think. Haywood will have the size advantage so a lot will depend on how SS undersize front court plays. Also SS cant let Haywood get hot from behind the arc. This is the game everybody wanted last year so here it is, "Mayweather vs PacMan" preview. Cant wait to til Tuesday. I got SS in a close one!

Yea, i think SS and Lex will be the top 2 in the district. I havnt seen Obion Co yet, and yes Westview is pretty good. SS beat them by lik 6pts the second game of the season, they had no answer for McNeal. Im still going to say SS and Lex for district and region. I think style of play is going to come into factor. Fayette Ware has a talented team but to me theyre missing something.

McNeal's supporting cast seem to be doing something right. Reed is avergaing double figures the Smith brothers play solid defense and knock down shots. That team goes as McNeal goes, he seemd to be getting everybody involve so if you can make a layup or open shoot youre all teh help he needs. I think itll be SS and Lexington the whole way again this year.

How do they pick who actually plays in the game?

Im still waiting on a response to Malik Hicks is all hype?! You guys mus tno tbe talking abou the same Malik Hicks ive seen since middle school? The Malik HIcks that was State Tournament MVP? The Malik Hicks that dominates teh paint on both ends of the floor?!

Are there not any AA teams in West Tn?

Wasn't really impressed with the Lawsons. #3 and #2 were nice pieces for Hamilton. Oak Hill is definitely not as good as hyped or as they were in the past. Bacon is real deal though! CPA is a 2 player team in my opinion. Campbell is LEGIT! But u can't pay me enough to believe he's an 8th grader, lol. That kid is something special. Blackwell has a high bball IQ but in my opinion he's overrated, that's just me. #30 for Simeon, Nice! #11 for Arlington can really play. Southwind has sum nice guards as well as Germantown. Saw a lot of great talent.

Chris McNeal, WKU signee, looks to have really been playing passive and within the system and getting all his teammates involved on a team that is still finding themselves after losing 2 big pieces in Barford and Hicks. McNeal blewup for 30pts last night vs crosstown rival Liberty Tech along with what seemed to be about 6 or 7 asst adn a hand full of rebs. This kid has the tools!

Curious to know whos hot and whos not in Region 7-AA this year? Particularly Districts 13 and 14?

They were down 27-26 at half vs Madison. I wasnt impressed! Madison' s post player #34 was holding his own vs Marshall and Tisdale. He was using quick moves and releases and was very efficient in the first half. Also, one of Madison's guards hit sum big shots, including a buzzer beater 3 at half time, to keep them up. Lexington struggle early and still bickered with each other some as they did last year. Second half Lexing kinda pushed the tempo and dictated the game which caused Madison to turn the ball over and Lexingotn pushed the lead to 10 and it was 15 pt lead with 2 mins to go and i made my exit. Marshall does not play like a D1 recruit at least not in that game. He didnt show any post game, very passive and only looked to get dunks. He does run the floor well and is a great defensive presence. They didnt live up to the hype in my opinion. 14AA should be a battle again between them Fayette Ware and Southside.

Depends on the coach...Grant couldn't earn their respect, if the new guy can there's talent enough to go deep in the playoffs. Johnson's injury really hurt the Tigers chances though...solid player, but his court awareness, and team leadership will be more missed than his physical contributions. To "keep it real", there are some serious hotdogs on this team, who would rather look good themselves than win (not the Marshall kid). Johnson was the floor leader who kept that to a minimum, and without him that one issue could keep this talented team from being as good as their parts. ........................................................................................................................................................ Chris is a hard worker on and off the court. He still a kid but knows when to turn it on and off. Been watching him since he was in middle school and like other posts state, i knew he'd be special. No this is not a push for him to get MR Basketball but it would be nice to go along with Sectionals, State Runner Up and State Champ on his resume! Great job Chris Keep up the grind!

Snubbed- Jaylen Barford Jackson Southside and i kind of like the Seniors only idea. The messed up part about it is that a couple of the guys wont even be participating in the state tournament and a couple guys who got snubbed will be there.
