  2. You forget that those same Tigers were beating your Jackets at halftime and outplayed them thru 3 quarters. Rockwood has a very stout defense and a good 1-2 punch in the backfield with Dyer and Allen. RW- 24 OS- 8
  3. 4 out of the 5 from East TN? Just an observation, not trying to start anything. I saw all of these teams play at the State Tournament in Memphis and this is how I see them doing. Express 92 - Got a pretty good draw playing the State Champs of AL, NTX, and MS. I think they will be 2nd in their group and lose in the quarters KFC Liverpool - Also got a decent draw have to face Champions of STX, LA, and AL. They will get out of their group and don't be surprised if the win their group. However I don't think they can beat any of the teams in the group they play in the quarters. I believe they will also lose in the quarters KFC Arsenal - Not such a good draw. They will square off against FLA, Premier League West Champions, and Premier League North Champions. Not to discredit the Arsenal, but I don't think they will win a game. They might pull of a tie against the PL North team, but I don't see them getting out of the group. Diadora Impact - They will have to play the Champions of FLA, STX, and MS. I think it's a 50/50 chance of them getting out of their group. I don't see them beating STX, but I think they will beat MS. It will all come down to the FLA game. They have a shot but I will have to say they won't get out of the group. TNFC 88 - They face the Finalists of NC, and Champions of MS and SC. I think they will win their group and go on to win in the quarterfinals also. I see them losing in the semi's. I know they are a great team, but they just don't seem as dominate this year only beating the Stars 1-0 on a pk in state. So, I have 3 out of the 5 teams making it out of their group with one making the semi-finals. Maybe I am being a little overly optimistic but hopefully all of the teams can play to their potential and put TN on the map. Good Luck
  4. What a convincing argument.. I imagine you are from the Middle part of TN..Who do you play for? Liverpool didn't do too bad at regionals last year after winning state. They went 1-1-1 in a tough group. They beat the Alabama state champs, tied a really good South Texas state champion, and lost to the staaacked NC state champ (CASL) believed to be one of the best teams in the country. No they didn't advance, they lost on tie breakers to the Texas team but i wouldn't call that being "smacked
  5. Group A Liverpool Group B Fever Group C Chaos Wild Card Kickers Gypsy do you know what group winners play each other in the semi's? Or is the case that the group winner with the most points plays the wild card and the other 2 group winners play each other? If so I'll take Liverpool 3-1 over the Kickers and Fever 1-0 over Chaos in OT. Then Liverpool 2-1 over Fever in the final. A little less than a week away, the tension is building, can't wait for what should be a great, highly contested age group.
  6. Wow, I'm not sure your assessment could be any further off. First of all you said you're taking TNFC over Liverpool? Yes, Chaos and Fever will give Liverpool a run for their money but TNFC has dropped of and isn't in the same breath as the 3 other teams. Also you talk about Fever and Chaos adding new players, this may or may not be true, but I know for a fact that Liverpool added 4 of the best players from one of the teams you said Liverpool was "lucky to beat" (the finalists of last year: Impact). They also added a player that was a starting center mid on the U15 semi-finalists of last season (UltraLions). So, maybe the afore mentioned Chaos, TNFC, and Fever reloaded. But I think it would be safe to say that Liverpool did as well. Also, while I believe 100% the rumors of TNFC 89 bringing back 4 national players from Bradenton to play at state , the "unimpressive" players you speak of for the 89 Impact were basically the nucleus of a Farragut team (as you know) that knocked off the state champions (Bearden), not once, but twice this season. Sounds to me like you're just a Middle TN fan hating on the East. But with all this said, all this is just speculation, we will see come June 10th
  7. My predictions: U15- KFC Liverpool U16- TNFC 90 Blue U17- 89 Diadora Impact U18- TNFC 88 Premier I think U15 and U17 are both pretty much wide open. They are both 3 horse races, in U15 Liverpool, Chaos, and Fever have a legit chance. And in U17 Impact, TNFC, and Fury. Thats just my take on it.. We'll know 2 weeks from today
  8. Jake Holt of Farragut Patrick Kelly of Hendersonville Tyler Gibson of Catholic
  9. Anyone know what the final was?
  10. We are going to one in Ohio the weekend of June 3-4, the week before state.
  11. i would have to say my favorite player for arsenal is eboue, I love the way he attacks from the back and presents another threat. This is kinda off subject but, Chaos11, are you guys going to any tournaments before state? (I'm assuming you play for Brentwood Chaos, I'm with Liverpool)
  12. Yes Hans in coaching the Arsenal now, I also believe that if these two teams combined they would certainly give TNFC a run for their money. Unfortunately there are way too many egos for this too happen.
  13. Camden Brown, he plays for Ultralions club in Knoxville.. not sure about high school
  14. Pat Kelly TNFC 90, Ryan Bristol GK TNFC 90, Garrett Raby KFC 91, Tyler Gibson KFC 91, Luke Mishu KFC 91, Mark Sherrod Lakeway, Will Maddox TUSC, Jackson Ryden Chaos, Jonah Powers Myska HFC... ...Just to name a few
  15. yea but he is 17 years old, he's an exchange student
  16. Anyone know who scored for Catholic? What changed the game so dramatically in the 2nd half?
  17. Isn't Patrick Kelly a 90? I was pretty sure he was on the 90 odp team, someone correct me if I'm wrong
  18. Where is the State Tournament held? Possibly Mike Rose Soccer Complex in Memphis?
  19. First of all I have to agree with chaos11 on Ryan Bristol. Best keeper in the state at the 91 level and probably in the region. He made the 91 region odp team as a keeper. Secondly I will have to disagree with BigRed, Jonah may be one of the best forwards, but the other kid is certainly not the best midfielder. There are many more 91's that are better than him in that position.
  20. anyone know the final?
  21. You can start by looking at KFC Crush Liverpool. They definitely have some of the best 91's in the state being the defending D1 state champs.
  22. The diadora impact broke up over the summer of 2005 and the majority of the good players went to KFC. They played in the premiere league this fall with all the D1 Champs from most of the southeastern states. They are very much still together and have basically the same team returning for the State Tournament this year. They will most likely repeat as state champs and bring it back to knoxville, where it belongs. At this point though, its really only a 3 horse race. KFC, Chaos, and Fever are really the only contenders. Fever i've heard lost some players so i'll go with KFC and Chaos in the finals.. KFC bringing it home
  23. anyone have an update..and if so who scored the goals
