Kollie is a great player, but I still question the competition he played through the season as compared to other players. I mean if you put some of the other players in that region, they would have put up video game type numbers. Just my opinion

Felt like it was a pretty fair list overall, obviously the kids from our team deserved to be on there that were. Only reason I can see the other Wade twin not on there is because he missed most of the season due to injury.

Lol Waco I’m not a very hard person to talk with and as long as someone can give me good reasons to back up their comments, my mind can be changed. There’s just a couple, mainly 1 guy on here who believes he knows everything and is never wrong and his team...well you know the story .

You obviously didn’t watch Kalib play much, if at all. I’m not saying Destin wasn’t good, trust me I know he and his brother are studs. I saw all three play this year, 2 of them in person and obviously Wade last year. Maybe I’m a little biased, but Kalib was the best of the 3 IMO. To tell ya the truth, how Kalib’s brother Liam didn’t make the list is baffling also. Over 1500 all purpose yards, 28 TDs and just as many tackles on defense as Kalib. He should’ve at LEAST made top 5.

Your good man, I’m just speaking my mind. Kalib won MVP of the state championship game as a Sophomore. In the storied history of our school, he’s THE ONLY player who’s ever been named All-State three times. I feel like career stats should be taken into account also and I agree the playoff stats should count. I saw Kollie play live this past year, I’m not saying he’s not a good player. But IMO, he’s not Notre Dame good. If Central played DC’s schedule this past year, they would have went 10-0. God knows how many tackles and sacks Kalib would have had. It’s Ok tho, ALOT of schools are gonna wish they would’ve recruited Kalib and Liam when they get to West Point. Including that Orange and White team down the road...

If our RBs, better yet Kalib’s brother Liam, would’ve ran against the same teams Kollie did they would have EASILY had that many all purpose yards. Heck Liam had over 1500 vs the teams we play. Wade deserved the award before Kollie did. Either way it was a screw job and the only reason he won it is because of where he’s committed. Change my mind

Yeah, 5A was a complete screw job. No way Kalib Fortner shouldn’t have won. Plays better competition and had the better stats for his position. It’s all about who’s committed to where. Complete BS.

Most of their yards came after we got up 21 including their TD. They were able to run it on us some, but they had no passing game. Their offense was mostly designed QB runs, a lot of power, Counter etc. Oline was quick but small. In regards to our Twins, Kalib and Liam were very special. We DONT win two State titles without them.They are good friends of mine and I said this a few weeks ago. It’ll be a long time, if ever, that Fountain City sees two players like that again.

Can’t speak to whether our staffs have spoken or not. Here’s what I can tell you, last year we knew we had a great shot at beating Summit. The biggest problem they had was their offensive line couldn’t block us and outside of the Wades, they didn’t have anyone else at the skill positions. Now with that being said, the Wades are as good as advertised and last year their Run Defense was very good. We COULDNT run the ball on them at all. We scored by passing, and honestly it was one of our best passing games last year. If Oak Ridge is gonna pull this off, 1. Contain the Wades best as possible and 2. They have to have the ability to throw the ball some. They won’t be able to just line up and run all over them. As of now, still picking Summit in a close one.

However, your argument about Oak Ridge having more students than a few other schools and that is translating to their success this year is again invalid. Happy for Oak Ridge and they will definitely be ready for a fight. However, If both the Wade twins are playing I’ll take Summit. They are very good and Summits Defense(at least last year) was great at stopping the run. OR will have to run the ball better than they did tonight vs SD to win. Just don’t see it, give me Summit. Wish we could have had another shot at them but....

The Centers snaps are literally killing SD. It’s throwing off the timing of everyone of their plays.
