Summertown is working hard. Coach Mote was a God send to begin the varsity process. O-line and D-line again will be the big question marks. Returning all skilled players this year from last years team. Has anyone heard about any Moore Co scrimmages?

Summertown won 3 TD's to 2. PC scored on the Eagles 2nd team. Lennox Johnson scored 2 rushing Touchdowns and Chase Mote scored off a pass from Riley Chapman.

We are in the planning stages of a 7 on 7 in Summertown for high schools and was looking to ask a few middle schools to take part for a learning experience. If you are still looking for an event, I can get you info as it is made available.

Summertown hosting Perry Co May 12th 5pm @ Summertown Youth Football field.

A Bold prediction, but Summertown Eagles will be up there again.

Great game it was the dog fight I thought it would be. The Eagles will be hard to beat in years to come.

Last game of the year for the Eagles. Not a bad start for a new team. This rivalry will take on a whole new meaning and can't wait to see how it all plays out. Even in the first year I think you can throw out the records cause this is going to be a dog fight.

Back to what I read earlier summertown definitely does have a bright future. The senior class of the Eagles isn't very good but the junior class is loaded and the following classes are pretty good as well. #18 has been struggling throwing the ball recently but I believe it's because he just doesn't have much confidence. #6 is a stud on defense with 120+ tackles already and he is a good offensive weapon when they can get the ball in his hands. I think fayetville wins by 21 but the eagles need to keep their heads up! 2 wins for a first year isn't that bad just keep battling and be ready for the next year! GO EAGLES! Last couple of weeks the Eagles has played in wet conditions. That is probably why Chapman has struggled. If we could get a run game going a little bit more, it would open up the pass. Hard for QB's and RB's when line is not blocking well. It's a learning thing though.

#6 is Coach Mote's son. #18 is a JR along with #6. 32 is a sophomore and #20 is a freshman. Young and talented. We are biulding in Summertown. Look forward to the game this Friday. I am not expecting much but love this team and who knows this is highschool football.

This was a good game but the Bulldogs won this one by a score of 22-8. The first half ended with 0-0 score, but both teams came out and scored in the 3 Q. Cornersville took over in the 4th and pulled away.

Just like most was saying Summertown would lose to Richland right? Well they were wrong on that one. Summertown wins this one by 7.

MtP wins by 14. Fans better take there chairs cause not much seating at GC-Franklin.

Moore Co did a great job keeping the Eagles out of the end zone till the 4th Q, but Summertown's offense seems to shoot themselves in the foot early. They never seem to get going. This young team is going to be better next year.

I think I seen where Stown was held scoreless til they got a Safety in the 3rd qtr and then added a td in the 4th. Summertown score a safety 2 Q at halftime Eagles led 2-0. 3Q Summertown scored a TD missed extra point. Grace scored TD early 4Q on a fumble return off a bad snap. Then with 4 minutes to go scores a touchdown after a long drive with 4 min to go. Close game but a lot of mistakes by young teams. Both teams are getting better each week seems like.

#21 is a beast. If there is an open hole, he hits it, and he's gone. Richland is better than last year. They have gotten more physical. This should be a good game. I am taking Huntland 28-14

I am a Summertown fan. Yes, Huntland was better than the Eagles on Friday night. Summertown will lose some and we will win some. We will only get better. You are right it is not the offense that has to stop themselves but it is the defense's job to do that. For those who say they are "disappointed" in Summertown fans, this little town will support their kids and you can tell this by the sea of blue there the last 3 games. This team is small in size but they play with heart and will sneak up on some this year.

Thanks for the exposure for Summertown. For the last few years Summertown football (middle and JV) have been placed on the back burner at the advocate. Hope you can turn this around.

What a game! The last Quarter was a nail biter. I was really proud of the Summertown Eagles and watch #20 as he gets older he will be a beast. Had 11 tackles from what I heard and a couple of passes tipped one that lead to an interception at the end of the game. Not bad for a freshman.

I heard tonight Summertown's Jr. High beat Loretto's JV squad 22-0. I'm pretty sure it was JV, gonna be floored if it turns out Varsity. Somebody confirm that? It was the middle school game not JV.
