Just my two cents worth. When you fumble a handoff in your own end zone and you run the same plays over and over with no production, you’re not going to win ballgames. The D is doing all it can do. Gotta find a way to move the football. What was isn’t now. Coach to the skills you have now.

Betsy has to find a way to move the ball. If it isn’t working after three weeks, it’s probably not going to work!

Betsy16, what I meant was we have certain players we lean on way too much. Not just one missing causes this. Got a lot to improve on. Hope Russell is ok, nasty, nasty hit!

Betsy had less than 100 yards on the ground. Only two first downs in a half and only had four passes that crossed the line of scrimmage. One for a TD. One incomplete out of bounds, which was caught. One double pass that was incomplete and one where the wide out ran the wrong route. Two INT’s didn’t help. This Cyclone teams has a lot of growing to do. When you have just 7 key players, one goes out, it becomes a very long game.

Its simple and clear. Toppers have a better O line. That’s that. Can’t stop the run. Betsy hangin’ tuff but can’t put enough plays together to keep a scoring drive.

I do know that some of this years Landers are putting more work in and doing more to get better and try to hold onto the momentum from last year.

Congratulations to Tullahoma on your first Championship! Welcome to the club. I had to miss this game and tried to keep updated but seems like it was an awesome game. So proud of this group of Cyclones! Safe travels to all.

Game day! I hope both teams have a safe trip to and from Chattanooga. For some of these players, after today, they will never suit up again and take the field to play for community and school pride. This is as good as it gets for a high school football player. Players, enjoy the moment and all it entails. Parents, mark this day as the game that all your support and all their hard work has paid off. I’ve said many times before, but really, is there anything else like high school football?!
