I don’t know why this is still going on but when they were in 2a it was the coaches 1st year and I bet if they hadn’t moved up to 3a they would have not have just made it to the 3 rd round but would have gone to state . Would of could of right? But anybody can coach the talent that alcoa has. Soo one more time . If all the players zoned for Austin east went to Austin east we would be unstoppable. Kids are going to central now that’s why Fulton is not as good. It takes a great coach to coach up not just coach talent . Enjoy ALCOA!

AE the last few years have been successful and competitive even to alcoa . True they don’t recruit like other schools do . However, if all the players that were zone for AE went to AE then they would be a powerhouse like alcoa.

They have been more successful then some teams in Knoxville. They may not have won a championship in years like Alcoa but they have had a winning seasons.

They have a new coach and young guys!

That’s what coach Phillips was trying to do . He had to coach up the kids that he had . The ones that stayed true . I wish Good luck to the next coach .

Of course . That’s the problem . Community sends kids to other schools . Duh! It’s hard to be a roadrunner !

Coach Phillips did a great job at AUstin East and will be missed. He and his staff worked hard to get the program where it is today .He helped get a lot of kids in college and he really cared a lot about the kids as young men and as athletes . He wanted them to succeed not only on the field but in the classroom . Wishing nothing but the best for his future.

I totally agree just about anyone can coach talent. I would like to see some of these coaches coach at Austin east. Phillips got coach of the year not coach of the best players on a team.

Amen ! Coach Phillips coaches what he has and does a real good job with that. Imagine if all the players zoned for Austin east went to Austin east !

There are several teams that have players play both sides of the ball and they win.Not getting those transfers as much anymore hurts. It’s not as hard to coach talent.;

Well a good coach can coach talent any day but a great coach will take what they have and coach them up. Fulton is a great example. Fulton is not getting everybody else’s kids anymore.

I shouldn't have said "punch". cheap shots in the pile etc.. agree a lot of personal fouls for greenville and I ageee early the score is not what they expected . But! AE is good !!! We Know!!

No they showed the tape to the refs. Greenville was face masking , elbowing kids in the pile , throwing punches. a kid can only take so much: Yes u all did have the higher score but not total domination

yall play dirty. greenville had personal fouls all night long before the rukus.

greenville was the one who threw the first punch. ae players got ejected for coming on the field.
